J-One Records did that for KAT-TUN (from White X'mas onwards we'll been getting short ver.s which Eirynne & I are SO annoyed) & ARASHI (from Beautiful days onwards)

I suspect Johnny's Entertainment did that to give 'incentive' for fangirls to buy the CD + DVD of Tanabata Matsuri so I guess I have to wait til next month for the full DVD rip of the PV to surface T_T

who knows maybe in future , KinKi Kids , NEWS's PVs will all be shown in short ver.s since Tegomass , NEWS & their senpai's music works are produced by the same record label

They took notice that DVD = more sales. Which is kinda smart because if you only see a portion of the PV and you want to see the full thing you'll HAVE to buy the CD+DVD version, or you can try your luck on youtube but they are deleting the videos so quickly now.
