aura:
ya. i understand that. it's some of the TA members that are too sensitive, but i don't think all of them will send in really rude messages to ayu. there could be something like this too: 'ayu, since you started tweeting at twitter, does that means you will have lesser time to update your TA blog? it's unfair that they can to see your post/pic without paying....' waterballoon: i think that the TA members are just worried that they will lose ayu. ----------------------------------------------------------------- my super long post is target at those membes who keep pin-pointing at ayu for treating her TA members or japanese fans more special then other regular fans. comments like this: 'ayu loves her TA members, doesn't she care much about her foreign members?' 'why TA have so many special attention from ayu, then what are we?' 'why is ayu twitting in japanese when she made the twitter to communicate with foreign fans?' ........ ^ these type of comments are so childish, why are some people only looking at their own point of view and not looking at the bigger picture |
Why does this feel like the Japanese fans are the elder sibling having to deal with a new baby (foreign fans) in the house? haha
I wonder what their comments were when Ayu posted about the A World Is One fanbook? Ayu should be able to do what she wants, a few pics (of herself or not) and comments on Twitter != Team Ayu. |
it's just typical human being behaviour
it's not just some of the japanese, it's the same everywhere. seriously, i had once read a post of a member HERE IN AHS who don't really like the idea if ayu were to expand her career to US/Europe, because he feel special that not many people he knows listen to ayu. It's like....only his music and belongs to him. i even have a friend who doesn't want ayu to have a concert in singapore, because she will gain more popularity here, and ayu will be more common around, since now jpop craze has low down, it's kpop everywhere, so he feel special listening to jpop, especially ayu. moreover, ayu is from japan, therefore we can expect that there will be more japanese who feel unsecure about ayu expanding. |
Yea, true. It's sad how people can be.
|
^because we are all human beings, with different feeling and thoughts. Although everyone is from different countries, but the jeolousy in us can turn ugly when uncontrol
|
LOL Yeah AHS members who are saying "If she made Twitter for us why is she speaking Japanese most of the time"... She's Japanese for crying out loud, of course she'll speak Japanese.
Stop complaining and deal with it, Just be thankful she's not ignoring us on Twitter. |
I have to be honest though, asking Ayu to come see AHS and making it sound like we read her TA blogs...makes me a little nervous. Just saying...

I think Ayu will be answer on Twitter less often now.
It's so stupid. For many years we don't has any chances to say something to her and when it happen we can lost. It's time to create the ITA and forget about Twitter |
^ She's been answering the same way, so no need to worry but she have her tour so she really can't tweet much everyday.
|
hmmmm tbh, I kinda agree with what ~aura said~~
really.. i believe that there are lots of TA members who also use twitter..so, who get the double benifits here? they get the paid and free updates at the same time n got higher chances to get replies from Ayu since they speak Japanese, as we just got the translated TA diaries (few days after) + twitter messages without those awesome other benefits which I REALLY WANT AS AN AYU'S FAN! If i were in Japan, i'll definitely JOIN IN! oh well, *sigh* it's fate that I'm not a Japanese.. and just too bad that why my most favorite idol is Ayu.. =__='' no matter how many times we complain, we can't forget what Ayu said about TA members though, she treasures her TA members more though.. and i understand that.. well, as of now, just enjoy what Ayu tweets to us :) |
Well, to counter and support some points others have already mentioned:
1. Even if you join TA, you can only send in messages to ayu. It is a one-way flow, there is no question and direct reply process that goes on at Twitter. That's why when ayu opened a Twitter account, it's a new experience for TA members too. It's also their first time being able to really "talk" to ayu. So why are some people griping about why ayu keeps tweeting in Japanese? Because she's finally able to reply to her fans (both Japanese and international alike), that's why. 2. If she starts posting stuff for free on Twitter for the entire world to see, what's the point of her blog anymore? Yes, I know it's only 5 word status-es and random photos, but if she could update so quickly and efficiently like this, why would she need to sit down and write a whole long blog entry? An example: the first couple of days ayu got Twitter, she was tweeting non-stop, being totally active. And in those few days, not a peep over at her TA diary. Of course her TA fans (including myself) will wonder whether she has found a better way to communicate and TA won't be as important for her anymore, that's probably why they asked. While there's no proof of them being nice and civil about asking, there's also no proof of them complaining/causing a huge ruckus to make ayu feel guilty. So maybe we shouldn't jump to conclusions about these Japanese fans. I'm an international fan myself, who's lucky enough to be staying in Japan for awhile, and even I feel bad at some of the things some members are saying about Japanese fans. Can't we just get along? Imagine how ayu would feel if she knew that her Japanese and international fans were fighting over her? How bad she would feel! :( |
isn't that iPhone that ayu used to take the picture?
Besides, when she's uploading a photo she always done it through echofon.. and AFAIK only iPhone support echofon..well except for macos and firefox.. Now i'm starting to want an iPhone.. :D |

Plus, one TA member complaining doesn't = all japanese ayu fans hating international fans. There's just a whole lot of generalisations going on here, and they really aren't true. |
Why has she started calling herself Chon-nan?
|
i understand perfectly what Misa-chan said..
the only thing that really hurts me or anyone, is that they ask ayu to stop tweeting to the international fans.. that's the only thing that hurts for me the most.. other than that, i think i'm fine already if she wants to post in japanese or whatever.. but it shouldn't be so hurting for the Japanese fans if they saw Ayu replies in English too right? they should bare with it too.. so why can't they use google translate or anything so they could also understand what ayu tweets to the international like I do, using google translate to understand what ayu saying in Japanese or replies to the Japanese fans.. so that means Ayu can do whatever she wants, don't feel bad or anything.. just let her freely express what she wants to say..no one can stop her.. either Japanese or the international fans, no one can stop her.. I think it's just Japanese and international fans should just understand her.. she wants to love all of us.. and we should stop fighting..it's bad T__T |
haha, i think a few of international fans are too excited.
if some of them believe majority (or non-negligible number) of j-fans are jealous and asking ayu not to speak English, i feel it's really funny. Where is the evidence of that? Ayu doesn't post a pic of her to twitpic and it's clear to me it's her original plan. Even in the Rock'n'Roll Blog ( http://avexnet.or.jp/ayu/blog/ ) it's rare to have a close-shot of ayu. Same thing can be said for blogs of her band members and dancers. I think it's interesting to compare messages to ayu (1) and tweet by ayu (2) (1) http://twitter.com/#search?q=%40ayu_19980408 (2) http://twitter.com/ayu_19980408 Compared to the ratio of non-j msgs to all msg in (1), I don't think the ratio of ayu's English msgs in (2) is low. ah right whatever, I think Ayu is not tweeting very often now like she did before when she first started haha.. i think she's more cautious..so per day it's like 2-3 replies to Japanese fans and to the international fans..(fortunately, those international fans are our dearly AHS members haha XD, who are so lucky)
|
She's tweeting less because she has a tour to do. Don't forget that, people. It has nothing to do with anything the Japanese fans said, I'm sure.
|
Such a SWEET entry.
I'm soooo happy, that she said, that she can talk with her foreign fans through Twitter and that it makes her happy. I NEVER liked Twitter and I really only created an account, so that I can write to Ayu-chan!! :heart But I need to become a TA-member soon!!! LOVE the first pic. She looks like a happy child and I love that outfit! Thanks for the translation!! |
yea~ just realized that she doesn't tweet more because she's tired after the touring..
let's see again tomorrow when she's not touring..will she up again til the late at night haha XD hope she's not feeling burden of the fans... |
Aww, I'm much more open to her Twitter now that she's said that. I wonder if AWIO had anything to do with influencing that decision.
|
ahhh.. Twitter... well still haven't got it, still very nice of her ;)
thanks for the translation ^^ |
lol her expression XD
thanks |
thx ^^
|
Ah, really love that she stays devoted to both her national AND international fans! She's a true person, a real star. :D Thank you Misa-chan!!
