Again, when Kamenashi was asked, "Will there be a linking up (with Akanishi) for concerts?", he laughed and answered, "We haven't heard from him at all. Is he in Japan right now?"
:thud I'm speechless, sure this comment reveals a lot

Mai82Go 17th July 2010 08:43 AM

I'm sad anyway. And I think Akanishi will be disappointed. He won't make it in the U.S. I didn't think he would be that naive.

This is irony pure. My favourite band ever is going to be reunited in their original formation and on the same day KAT-TUN decide to be a five piece. The pop-gods have a weird sense of humor.

well...it could be my delusional self setting in, lol, but...i just want a clear written official statement coming from the Jimusho. and i'm sure they will clarify (or definitely confirm) things after Jin's tour ends. so far, it seems like it's word of the mouth.

i have a Twitter friend in Japan & she still says Jin leaving is a "maybe" but by the looks of it, she's preparing for a KaT-TUN group & a Akanishi Jin solo.

Bigtop 17th July 2010 08:54 AM

Umm...what's going on recently, in real form? I'm kind of confused, so could anyone summarize what is going on in the past week or so?

visionfactory 17th July 2010 08:56 AM

^ "KAT-TUN's Jin Akanishi (26) will officially graduate from the group later this year, it has been announced. During KAT-TUN's concert at the Tokyo Dome on Friday night, Johnny's Jimusho president Johnny Kitagawa said that the final decision will be made after Akanishi's U.S. tour this fall, but at this point it appears to already be guaranteed."

Aww... That's sad to say - and why???

visionfactory 17th July 2010 08:59 AM

^ I think Jin's ego is too big for being in a group :/

Mai82Go 17th July 2010 09:03 AM

He will regret it. I'm pretty sure. On the other hand I'm happy that the Jimusho obviously also think that KAT-TUN are important and cannot be a safety cushion for Jin's failed adventures. What I really hope happens now is much more exposure of TTUN.

Bigtop 17th July 2010 09:03 AM

Do you mean that he's just "uncomfortable and cannot stand it"? Is he thinking about being a soloist? And could it be in America where Jin's life as a soloist could be?

it's true , I hope T-TUN will get more exposure as they're really under-rated

Also like what was mentioned before , if you want to make it big & be someone/something in US , it's not going to be easy

not everyone knows who is Akanishi Jin in US as compared to Japan

but really if the worst case scenerio happens , I really hope this will not signify the breakup of KAT-TUN , I will be devastated if they're going to disband just because of this ;__;

Why does he not want to tour in Asia?

KarenPang 17th July 2010 09:29 AM

because KT-TUN are currently touring Asia , this year's their 1st Asian tour they embark on

they released NO MORE PAIN to concide with things . They'll be stopping by Korea , Taiwan among other places

they supposed to go to Thailand but because of political unrest , that got scrapped

I don't think it's on his plans by now, it's most likely if everything goes wrong and nobody supports his work he's going back to Asia

Bigtop 17th July 2010 09:37 AM

I hope Jin does well and stays safe outside of Japan and into America (btw, where will he stay for his residence, and will he keep his Japanese citizenship?), but he might be a rookie in America, so we'll just have to see...

By the end of the year, it seems that it will be the end of the Jin Akanishi era and the start of a new era - the fourth era - first as initially, then Jin's temporary leave for school, then came back, and now by the time 2011 comes, the era without Jin Akanishi...

Also, is Jin Akanishi the leader of KAT-TUN or not? And if not, who is it as of now? But if Jin is the leader, who would replace him?

visionfactory 17th July 2010 09:39 AM

..I always thought Kame was the leader..

Bigtop 17th July 2010 09:44 AM

Oh, I see... Kame's actually the leader...

Back to KAT-TUN's Asia tour - when they travel, do they fly ANA (All Nippon Airways), JAL (Japan Airlines) and/or other airline carrier? I kind of remember a bit that members of KAT-TUN were flying on ANA with Johnny's escort...

KarenPang 17th July 2010 09:46 AM

there's no leader in the group but Kame's considered as the unofficial one as he's very good when comes to MC's in concerts & etc

also all 6 of their personalities are so different . Ueda was originally appointed as the group's leader but that got scrapped as they felt so restrictive

From weesachan at KAT-TUN love.
Quote:

I didn't want really believe that Jin was going to leave KAT-TUN, but the reaction of the boys tonight seemed to confirm the news.

During Promise Song, Koki couldn't sing and started crying. Ueda ended up crying as well. Kame didn't mention Jin, but you knew what news he was talking about before they left the stage before the encore.

During the encore MC Kame seemed to be getting a little teary-eyed as well as the other members.

I know there are many of you who are very saddened by news, but I hope that people will support KAT-TUN even if Jin isn't there. I know it is not the same, but the boys want to continue being KAT-TUN and they really need their fans to support them.

I will continue to support KAT-TUN and Jin because I enjoy all of them.
Oh man, they were really crying? I didn't feel emotional at all before, but now I feel sorry and sad. (At least for KTTUN)

Beauty4123 17th July 2010 07:52 PM

although i can't buy their music, i really will continue enjoying their music and i support them even without jin, i really do! :yes i think it'd be more heartbreaking if kame decided to leave instead, LOL. (just trying to lighten up the mood..guess it's not working :innocent)

i wish nothing but the best for the boys, and also jin.

Mai82Go 17th July 2010 07:59 PM

If Kame left KAT-TUN would've been done for. Can you imagine all this drama happening if Taguchi left? (Nothing against Junno) No, it wouldn't be like this only Jin is able to make that kind of drama happen.

Misato 17th July 2010 08:36 PM

Somehow I expected already. Known as the Jin solo concerts in the U.S. was holding, I've actually been waiting for this he leaves KAT-TUN.
But I'm still shocked about it. He's one of my favorite members.

KarenPang 18th July 2010 04:38 AM

the 'damage' has been done already & I suppose fans be it whether they like or don't like Akanishi have to accept the fact that things are not going to be the same then & now

to me it doesn't matter , I will still continue to support the reminding 5 & I think it's good that they will still continue as a 5 piece to release good material

That's the spirit I feel :D

but yeah it wouldn't be easy but they need whatever all the fan supports they have to gather at this point in time

Nackar_91 18th July 2010 09:34 AM

I know I'll probably get scolded if I say this, but I never liked Jin so it doesn't really matter to me ^^". No More Pain is my favourite album by them so I don't think I'll miss him that much musically either.

Still, it's sad for the members of course.

Bigtop 18th July 2010 09:52 AM

KarenPang 18th July 2010 10:15 AM

but I'm not going to lie that I think he still has 1 of the best voices in Johnny's & it's not going to be easy for the other 5 to carry on without him but I have confidence they'll be able to make it

it's proof in the pudding for the album tracks in NO MORE PAIN which I think all of them are really good

You're not. Believe it or not, at least in the western fandom I think most fans aren't really that sad. Because Akanishi destroyed what people liked in his personality himself, basically starting when KAT-TUN debuted. Sure there are a few hardcore Akanishi Fans, but to be honest I think most people like KAT-TUN better than Jin Akanishi, the solo artist.

tokyoxjapanxfan 18th July 2010 02:46 PM

maybe i'm in the minority, but i'm THRILLED that Akanishi is gone. I've thought he's had the worst personality for a long time. Not at the beginning, but I guess over the past 2 years. He kind of ruined KAT-TUN for me after he got all diva-y.

Mai82Go 18th July 2010 03:47 PM

As you can see, Nackar_91, people are already celebrating. ;)

Nackar_91 18th July 2010 05:36 PM

Haha I sometimes lurked around some KAT-TUN fansites and everybody was all over Jin so I was assuming everyone saw him like the god of Kat-tun.

Glad people here think differently XD.

ll moments ll 19th July 2010 06:01 AM

i'd actually disagree...i find that there are a great majority of Akanishi fans. it's usually the Akanishi fans that get the KAT-TUN news/con goods pics/reports out there the fastest from being in the fandom for 5 years. i'm not on LJ as rapidly as i was before, but i know very little about the 2010 Arena Tour/WORLD BIG TOUR thus far from the fandom. (i'm sure we'll get an influx of stuff once they go overseas) if he didn't have a Western fanbase, then why tour the USA?

maybe you guys here @ AHS don't like Jin, but i find out in other forums, that they want Jin to leave the group because they think he would be better as a solo than with the group (especially after his collaboration effort w/ CK & LANDS). but i still think a lot of people prefer 6-nin KAT-TUN over 5-nin KAT-TUN.

i'm not saying this because i like Jin. there has always been a fixation on him from everyone. you talk about Jin. tbh, the whole bad boy thing is probably why he has a fanbase. there are a trillion other do-good, smiley, pure, innocent idols out there.

i'm not defending him or anything. i was so dead-on sure he would return. i'm pretty much embarrassed for thinking so. :(

but i don't think the worst of Jin.

Mai82Go 19th July 2010 09:51 AM

^Really? I feel like I've read tons of Concert Reports from this tour. Probably even more than last year, last year every report I read was from Tokyo Dome and this year I read reports from Arenas from all over the country and the Dome. So I don't really think that mainly Akanishi Fans upload these, because if it's only Akanishi, why did they bother to go to these concerts?

I really feel that the majority of western Fans are not that heartbroken about it. I mean, there is this movement to get Jin back in to KAT-TUN but what good would it do? We all discussed about it here, he doesn't want to, even if people blame Johnny, I think it's Jins decision. And he has every right to make this decision. And it's not like he is dead, he can continue to release solo stuff and the Fans that were solely in for the A can simply stop following KAT-TUN and just follow Jin (Which they are already doing, anyway, if you look at the sales)

For me, as I've said before, I don't really dislike him. I even understand where he is coming from with his desire to live abroad. But I didn't like his attitude towards work and KAT-TUN while he was still with them. I think it's better that he is gone, if you're not in it with all your heart, it's only natural. It's an exhausting job and it's really unfair to the others who give their best.

One thing is for sure, Jin brought in loads of Fans probably about 40 %. So KAT-TUN won't be able to hold the level of success they had with him. I'm sure they are aware of that. But what can they do? It wasn't their decision and you cannot force anybody to continue living a live they don't want to live.

Nackar_91 19th July 2010 11:11 AM

My major issue wasn't the bad-boy attitude (KAT-TUN's already a bit far from the typical idol image as it is), it's just the arrogance and the diva-ish behavior that I personally think he often had about it. As if he were better than the rest of KAT-TUN, or more important.

I know that's just me reading into things and in no way has to be the truth, but it IS why I dislike him ; )

KarenPang 19th July 2010 12:26 PM

I don't have problems with the guys not having your typical squeaky clean images as face it , some girls dig bad boys like me xD 8D

but like what the other 2 have put across on here over Akanishi , if your heart & soul is not in the group , it's best for him to leave as it wouldn't be fair to being in the group for the sake of doing so & when they're on variety shows , he's sitting there sulking away & thinking to one self that I rather be at home doing this & that

Also like what I said before , I continue to support KT-TUN . I've been listening to them since around the time when DON'T U EVER STOP was released so it will be a big waste if I decide to stop supporting them just because of this setback the group faced

I hope KT-TUN can see that they still have a reason to continue on to release material , be it with or without Akanishi

at least the upside's that T-TUN will be able to get more singing parts in their songs

tokyoxjapanxfan 19th July 2010 01:37 PM

lol it's more like KaT-TUN now...

KarenPang 19th July 2010 01:56 PM

KAT-TUN is keeping its name intact much the same way Kis-My-Ft2 did when they lost Iida and Kitayama became the 'Ki', with Kame now being the 'KA' instead of just the 'K'.

And they will also stay together as a group but now as a five man unit instead of their original 6 members

tokyoxjapanxfan 19th July 2010 02:05 PM

oh I know they're still staying together and keeping their name, but it's interesting that even if they weren't keeping their name intact, it could still work with Kame's name haha.

ll moments ll 20th July 2010 02:08 AM

i am never stylizing KAT-TUN as KaT-TUN. just looks weird to me on an aesthetic level. even w/ Jin out of the picture. it's going to be KAmenashi, ok. :P

i definitely understand everything coming out of this hoopla. i care about what's best for everyone, if a split if what's best. then be it. i've said before, i don't mind if Jin leaves or if he stays. it's not my decision. i probably did not word my last post correctly (i was never good at explaining stuff, anyway), but i just think there isn't a right or wrong way to look at the fandom itself.

i also believe this whole thing could have been handled differently by Johnny's Entertainment. way to drop the bomb right now. GREAT JOB~*~*

KarenPang 20th July 2010 05:08 AM

LOL it's ok Eirynne , I understand your previous posts on here so you don't have to feel bad about it

but yeah at the end of the day , it's not for me to decide/be judgmental on this issue . If it's for the best that Akanishi leaves , then so be it . I can't stop him & say to him to stay on the group for your sake or basically for anyone who wants him to remind still in the group

Kondo Masahiko cheers for Akanishi Jin

Kondo Masahiko is currently on his national tour for his 30th year anniversary and he gave a comment about Akanishi Jin as a senior of Johnny’s Jimusho.

Masahiko said, “I’m sure Jin knows that it’s not easy to be successful in the U.S. Many singers have challenged the U.S, and got beaten up, but I still support his courage. If he really wants to do it, I hope he does not give up.”

He also cheered for other KAT-TUN members saying “I hope the 5 members put each of their powers to one and become even more successful.”

By the way, some of you asked if KAT-TUN will be changed to KT-TUN. According to Johnny Kitagawa, KAT-TUN’s “KA” part is Kamenashi’s “KA” from now on.

http://www.tokyohive.com/2010/07/kon...-akanishi-jin/

Hey , even a dai senpai like Match-san backed up Akanishi so I guess it's saying something

Mai82Go 21st July 2010 08:57 AM

I think it's time to outsource the Jin Akanishi talk into his own beautiful and individual thread. I wanted to suggest that a few months ago already, but didn't since it might have hurt peoples feeling and his being away from KAT-TUN wasn't permanent. (Maybe I did write about it, though, I can't remember) But now, everything is official, I think it's the perfect time. And Jin surely has a solo career going on. I nominate ll moments ll because who could make a better Jin Akanishi Thread? What do you guys think?

Nackar_91 21st July 2010 09:26 AM

I think having his own thread WOULD be useful, since he's no longer connected to Kat-tun and it would kind of clutter the thread with non-KAT-TUN related news XD

ll moments ll 21st July 2010 11:49 AM

if a majority of you guys think we should have a separate Akanishi Jin thread, then i'm all up for it. i'll be glad to make the thread too! (which reminds me i still need to update the first post of this thread, lol) :)

KarenPang 21st July 2010 12:26 PM

For me I'm neutral because at the end of the day Akanishi will still forever be considered as a part of KAT-TUN even though he officially left the group already

so whether you make a solo thread of him on here or not , you still will talk/discuss about him isn't it ? xD

Mai82Go 21st July 2010 12:32 PM

^yes, of course we can still talk about him here. But if people are only interested in Akanishi or only interested in KAT-TUN it would be better if there would be two individual places to talk about them. I think it makes sense to seperate the two now because from now on they don't belong together anymore.

Nakamaru's :roflmao , is he wearing a huge nose ring at the end of the CM lmao 8D

Mimichild 23rd July 2010 05:01 PM

Lol that Cm was too funny! But onto my opinion of Jin leaving...

Even though it's sad that he's leaving but let's get a little realistic here, ever since Jin "studied" in the US for the first time he made it clear that he wanted to do more there. From watching some of his interviews and Cartoon Kat-tun he was getting more Americanized and seemed a little distant than usual. The icing on the cake was the duet wt CK (love Wonder btw). So it's fine if he wants more than what they are offering in Japan. But I think it's right for him to get out the group and not use it as a safety net if working in the US goes wrong.

But c'mon folks! KAT-TUN has already proved they really didn't need him. So far they sold 3 singles w/o him and sold over 300,00+ copies, 2 albums went straight to #1 selling more than 170,000+, and concerts that sold out completely. So even though they lost a dear member and friend, it's safe to say they'll be alright.

ll moments ll 25th July 2010 09:50 AM

well, KT's very pop-rock versus let's say...Mr.Children. i thought the whole LANDS thing might have been weird/interesting for him, since he does like hip-hop and rap more. and he had 5 people to sing along with, lol. his earlier solos weren't really rock, they were more acoustic-driven tracks. :)

well I'm a rock person by nature but I do admit calling KAT-TUN's music full on blown rock will be a tad ironic since they're Idols

I like to put it in a way that their material is more edgy/harder sounding if you compare other Johnny's like NEWS

LOL. i love Junno. "WAT NO. I HAVEN'T WORKED WITH ANYONE IN KAT-TUN." he probably said this with the biggest smile on his face. :P

if we're talking about 5 member KAT-TUN, he didn't lie. LOL. he has not work with anyone in the group. ;)

that's true & I seen some of the LiveJournal comments in that entry

really , some people are just so harsh ~_~ & like what you said Eirynne , it can either mean with or without Akanishi at the question Kame threw at Junno

Oi.... I missed alot during the month I was away...

So Jin is out huh? I'm kind of depressed. I will cheer the guys in KAT-TUN on but for now I feel kind of sad just to listen to the "old" songs. I loved Akanishi. Sorry guys (since very very few seemes to like him here). He will probably not be so big in the us, return to japan, maybe release a album that sells decent then in time he will be forgotten or something. Thats how I see on things. I didnt like the diva in him, nor the solo artist. I loved him as a band member. When he always used to be mean but in a funny buddy way against the others (like taguchi or nakamaru). I didnt like him the last year (but I got very happy by seeing the makings of the d-motion and love yourself since he started to joke around with the others again and made love to the camera. lol. Othervice last year he have been a boring diva with bad attitude that makes you just wanna rip your hair. But KAT-TUN is a band after all with alot of members and alot of diffrent minds. Too bad my favourite had to change so much in attitude the last couple of years. Cuz I truly loved him the way he where. And in that way, fine go all solo, party, have sex with americans, fail, go home. Too bad for you dude.

But then I feel most sorry for the rest of the band who had to put up with his leaving for not only one time and still support him and wait for him to come back. Now they can go on doing what makes them the wonderful KAT-TUN without interruptions. But I feel sad for them that they cried. Maybe they also liked the old Jin and the band like it where back in the days? Thats fine. I think they should leave some tears cuz it is kind of sad. But then leave it and grow stronger and better.

Now you all have been done talking about this, sorry that I had to bring this all up again. But this was to big news for me to just ignore. :P

Btw, REAL HORSES ON STAGE? Since my life is all about horses since born im superexcited to hear that! Must have looked awesome! But poor animals. Put in them in a concerthall? Boooo!

@MissElin_: ah, no worries. it is a big thing to talk about, so i'm sure all of us won't mind. :) i'm disappointed myself. "I LIKE IT" came on my shuffle yesterday & i got a bit depressed, lol.

LOL @ that list. umm, Ryo needs to be on that. :laugh Tegoshi needs to GTFO. :P

ll moments ll 21st August 2010 02:59 AM

^ it's not released by JE or it does not have its approval. it's basically a "bootleg" type of thing. idk why publishers keep doing this though, they will eventually get sued by Johnny's. :P

at least now this has become a reality & people who're still living in denial that he's still in the group can hopefully accept this after reading it ... I hope :O

Five hundred fans greet KAT-TUN at airport

Popular Jpop boy band, KAT-TUN, will be holding a concert at the Taipei Arena on August 27th and 28th – tickets have long been sold out. They landed in Taiwan in the afternoon of the 26th with five hundred fans flooding the airport welcoming them.

Under visual estimation (eyeballing), about eighty percent of the fans were there for Kamenashi Kazuya. Fan girls shouted, “Kame” while holding up signs with his name on it – “Kame” has accumulated a large fan base through his dramas besides being part of KAT-TUN. KAT-TUN, minus Akanishi Jin, was escorted by a hundred student part-timers and security guards hired by the organizers, helping them exit the airport smoothly.

The group followed the tradition of their seniors and immediately headed to Taiwan’s famous restaurant Din Tai Fung to enjoy some “Xiao Long Bao” (soup dumplings) after just getting off the plane. They then proceeded to the venue to rehearse their concert until 7pm. For dinner, the group went for hot pot.

Although fans are sad to hear about Akanishi Jin leaving the group, many Akanishi fans expressed that they will continue to support the group.

小笼包 are absolutely delicious super big time ! :D

it's nice that they went to Din Tai Fung to have some even though I prefer Crystal Jade's a lot more than Din Tai Fung ;p

I hope their 2 days concerts in Taiwan which they will stage later today & tomorrow will go well :)

ROUGH TRANSLATION
:
(On the 27th while there 1st abroad tour while visiting Taiwan , there was an accident concerning KAT-TUN . About 9:30 towards the end , Ueda Tatsuya (26) while jumping down from the height of 2.5 meters during his solo , failed in landing (?) safely and was injured in his left foot . He left the concert and was taken to the hospital in the ambulance waiting outside the hall .

After his song was over he walked back by himself towards the back stage , collapsed with a pale face, so the staff decided that it was impossible for him to continue . He received a precise examination in the hospital , and was diagnosed with a dislocation in his left foot thumb . A concert is scheduled on the 28th , and Ueda is appealing ( I want to appear tomorrow ) , and the promoters ( We want to make him attend in any kind of way ) . Ueda Tatsuya was doing the same performance since the first day of the tour in May the 2nd .)

2011 KAT-TUN concert tour to be full of worldwide surprises

Outdoor concerts in Japan, the first Johnny’s concert in Hawaii, more concerts in South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and China, KAT-TUN’s 5th anniversary tour is set to be bigger than ever, reports Sports Hochi.

The group’s 2011 concert tour will focus on the number “5″. The five members will celebrate the group’s fifth anniversary and tour around five locations in Japan from spring to summer, followed by five international venues from autumn.

It has been reported that the concerts will not be held in a traditional concert hall or stadium, but at outdoor complex venues with different surprises at each city.

KAT-TUN will be the first Johnny’s group to hold a formal concert in Hawaii, and will also be able to visit Thailand, where they were not able to visit this year because of the country’s political activity.

At a press conference held before their Taiwan concert yesterday, Kamenashi talked about performing without Jin Akanishi (25).

“The responsibility we feel as a group has grown stronger, and we can talk openly about which way we want KAT-TUN to go,” he said.

Koki Tanaka (24) had said the group’s bond had gotten stronger as well.

“I was worried at first, but after seeing how the fans and staff were cheering us on, it got my act together.

“When the five of us go out to eat, talk about what we want to do with KAT-TUN comes out naturally,” he said.

While Akanishi has not made formal appearance announcing his retirement from the group, Yuichi Nakamaru (27) said they had had dinner together.

“He told us he was sorry for the trouble he had caused,” he said.

Tanaka added the two had their own goals.

“It’s not that we hate him now. We just hope that both of us can succeed in our own ways,” he said.

there you go , no hatred going on between Akanishi & KT-TUN :)
