The reason that Avex doesn't care to release Kuu's stuff at times when there is no competition is because she has no records to keep. Ayu's got that number one thing, so they have to tip-toe around dates. With Kuu, I doubt they care what position she makes, they just want the profits.

And remember - Japanese pop, like automobiles, do have competition!

Well, 60,027 is not bad at all. It's a bit lower than 3 SPLASH, but her recent singles were doing much worse, so I guess if her sales doesn't decline too much, she should pass 80k, I hope ~ I think I prefer this single to 3 SPLASH.

rather than lamenting how sucky sales are . Like what Gubsi said , Kumi doesn't care about sales as long as she's able to get her music out there for the public to listen/buy :)

So, to re-iterate this: Kuu might have her best sales for a summer single, though Arashi and AKB48 denied her for a top three - that week was quite competitive, but I think Kuu tried her best!

You should be more carefully with your words if you don't follow Kuu and doesn't have any idea about her sales or her personally. Makes things easier if you know what you're talking about. ;)
