you know I can't remember the last time I listened to Ken Hirai D: so I think that speaks more than itself already x)
I honestly can't remember when exactly I started listening to Johnny's but I say it definitely was 2 years ago 2008 was awesome , it was a year I discovered a lot of great artistes which opened so many doors for me , big time ah let me think again with regards to ARASHI ... I say during the time I started following them properly from Step and Go onwards just like you , Lisa but I count Kitto Daijoubu as the 1st song I heard of them as Ken Hirai singled that out as his fave ARASHI song & it's still his fave one til now xD He said that he likes the dance moves for the song in the PV . He could tried/learn how to do it but he will not as he has 2 left feet LOL so whenever he watched the PV for it , he has to try to hold back & sit still :roflmao oh yeah I also recalled him talking about the Sakurap in the song as well . He tried rapping like Sakurai but THAT FAILED BIG TIME 8D |

2008 was a good year for JPOP for me, as well! besides for JE, i discovered other artists, too. i'll never forget 2008 because of this. but..i need to move on to the future and not think about the past so much, lol. but before step and go, i must have heard love so sweet & WISH seeing as how i watched hana yori dango 1 and 2 in just 4 days during january 2008 :dead i remember it so clearly, it's scary! :scry but as i much as i loved the drama, i'm not a big obsessed fan, you know? it's not like i feel as if jun could never act as good as he did in hanadan, you know? i'm not that attached to it at all even though i love it, so i can see him in other shows. same with shun. but i always have little flashbacks in my head of jun in tsukasa mode, and it always puts a smile on my face :heart before the summer ends, i should rewatch the movie to end my summer off, haha. |

it's true , Ken CANNOT dance to save his life & that goes for DAIGO too ~_~ It's ok that Ken did a 1 off thing in his POP STAR PV & oh god , DAIGO , he does that so many times (during BREAKERZ's PVs & outside of it) that he embarassed me in more ways that you can ever imagine :roflmao -_- Ken said before in an MC talk in his Ken's Bar performance & also I believe last year when he was on MUSIC STATION with the guys (I forgot when exactly) & he said the same thing for both in that he likes Kitto Daijoubu even up to now & I think I recalled Ken asking Sakurai to give him pointers on how to rap or something like that LOL Hana Yori Dango will go down as a drama classic even if you don't watch it as that more or less is credited for helping them to revive the group's popularity & sorry to say this but to me I feel MatsuJun's the only person worthy to play Domoyoji the Taiwan , Korean & (soon to be ?) of course i feel the same in regards to jun being the only person to play domoyoji! :luv2 i don't even think shun could have done it even though he was originally going to play the character? i think i read that somewhere before. but shun's a good rui, no doubt :D
seeing as how this comes from a japanese manga, i feel like the japanese drama did it the best. i never even saw the other versions, especially the korean version (which is all i kept hearing about last year :rolleyes) lol. ahh, thanks for the link, karen! which reminds me, i need to watch today's shiyagare soon! :P |
I know MatsuJun originally auditioned for the part of Hanazawa Rui (NO WAY but YES it's true) but in the end , the producers gave him the part of Domoyoji as they see quite a lot of similarities between MatsuJun & Domoyoji (in the comic book)
MatsuJun also told the produers that he will not star in the drama adaption of Hana Yori Dango ONLY if they give the part of Rui to Shun Oguri :D it's hard to believe that when MatsuJun & Shun 1st acted together in the 1st season of Gokusen , they got started at the wrong footnote D: but things between them were cool after they acted in HYD the drama & movie Quote:

ohh, i thought the part of domoyji was for shun originally. i see i mixed that up with jun auditioning for rui originally instead of tsukasa, haha. i'm glad the producers gave jun tsukasa cause i cannot picture him as rui at all :P but jun is so demanding, haha! but i don't blame him for wanting shun in the drama. those 2 are like the BEST best friends of japan, i love them both so much :heart hard to believe they weren't such good friends in gokusen, though. i'm glad that's not the case anymore. i love them so much! :smitten i just saw jun interviewing angelina jolie and OMFG. i LOOOOVE his english :luv2 it was so good! he even gave her ALL THE BEST! i hope she really does let her children listen to it! :laugh he was so freaking adorable throughout the entire thing. jun is so humble at the end when angelina told him that he's handsome! he's ten times more handsome than brad pitt will EVER be :innocent :roflmao |

As expected, Arashi took the no. 1 spot on the global album charts! They got a special mention for having the second-highest opening week sales (After Eminem's Recovery) this year! (Even though we all know it's just because of the way the Japanese system is set up, it's still a nice feat)
I don't think they'll be able to whip up a second week at no. 1, like All the Best! did, but aside from Koda Kumi and Arashi no other Japanese artist has managed that feat so it'd be crazy if they did it twice! |
