^With 2NE1 though I doubt we'll get the American album all too soon. Before they release it they'll probably do a single or two like Wonder Girls did. Plus, since they're new in America they'd have to do a lot of promotion first so people will know of them and have heard their music.

They could bring out the English a bit more. The instrumentation drowns them out at times and you can't really make out what they're saying.

But I take back what I said, it does sound like something I could hear on the radio. It doesn't really drag either. (and I love the line "***** you ain't got **** on me")

Their music has definitely got what it takes to make it, it's just that I'm a bit anxious about the success of a girl group in general in the US. Seriously, boybands and girl groups have almost all died out in the US, so I'm curious if they'd be willing to embrace a new one : /

^^That is true. Still WG's is doing decently well, so I guess we'll see. What I am concerned more about is boybands. Especially Asian boybands like DBSK, BigBang etc. And it's more so just cause most Americans don't look at Asian males as being attractive. Well at least they didn't in my day, but I'm not totally sure about now. Anyways, I can see the whole hiphop/rap fused with pop thing totally work here with 2NE1.:)
Also, with music, it's sometimes like fashion. It gets sorta recycled. "Bell bottoms" for example were popular during my mom's early days, then stopped for awhile and came back eventually with a bit of a new look and people started calling 'em flares. Anyways, my point being that I think music can work the same way, and it's possible to see girl groups back in America.:D

I'm more worried about their Japanese debut more than their American debut. Japan is a different ballpark compared to South Korea and definitely so when it comes to America.

^There was an English one before this. Not video, but the song. There's an English version of Can't Nobody on the To Anyone album(bonus track), but the English isn't as clear or well pronounced. Here, in the video it sounds a lot better.

Yup. Just the English here in this PV is much better pronounced. However, the sound quality doesn't seem the same. Maybe it's just me.... or maybe cause i have my speakers kept down.
