Nami will be performing LADY MIND on Happy Music on the 27th of January and 2nd of February!

SUPER GOOD PROMOTION FOR HER! ^_^

The single didn't make the top 30 on Oricon, but I'm pretty sure it will rise up with some awesome sales before this week ends.

ayurocks20 30th July 2012 04:09 AM

Her new single "PARADISE" will be released on October 10. It is being produced again by Shinichi Osawa. The PV has already been filmed. The single was announced at her one-man live in Hong Kong on the 29th.

CD+DVD Edition Price: 1,500 Yen
CD Edition Price: 1,200 Yen

The single is also said to be a powerful dance-club track and was again choreographed by Shun (choreographer for Get Wild, Result, Lady Mind, TTL, etc).

Recently Nami held a solo concert in Hong Kong (her sales are higher in asian countries outside Japan). She performed at the Hong Kong International Trade and Exhibition Hall to an audience of over 3,000, making this her biggest solo concert since her Greeting tour back in 2004.

Nami is also expected to be releasing her debut album under Teichiku Records shortly after the release of the single.

The song PARADISE was produced by Shinichi Osawa and features lyrics by other Avex Producer/Songwriter "AILI". Nami seems to be doing a lot of work with Avex staff...

^ She looks flawless!! :heart I'm still loving LADY MIND (as people can probably tell from my signature..:laugh) so I'm really looking forward to new music from her. :)

Zeke. 1st August 2012 06:04 AM

Any links to her albums in 320kbps? I loved her old stuff but I only have a few singles on my iPod as I think I deleted the albums due to low-quality. Even 192kbps would do, but 320 if possible - thanks!

*hearT_Place* 2nd August 2012 01:20 AM

Oh, wow, that promo picture looks amazing!! I can't wait for her new single! :heart

The song is pretty catchy!

ayurocks20 11th September 2012 07:19 AM

It's better than LADY MIND... but Shinichi Osawa really shouldn't be composing/producing music. He's a DJ/Re-Mixer and he clearly has no knowledge in how chords work. Both "PARADISE" and "LADY MIND" have one chord that lasts throughout almost the entire song... It doesn't sound good... especially in the parts right before the chorus.

As for the PV, it's a little lazy. The covers would have you thinking the PV is going to be glamorous and elegant, yet it ends up being a cheap way to make it look like there's lots of sets, when in fact it's all green-screened. The dancing scenes look okay, but its a little too obvious that none of what she's dancing in is actually there.

This is a better release than LADY MIND, but I can't see it charting on Oricon. It doesn't have anything about it that makes it addictive or appealing enough to be a hit. Hopefully her next release will do a little better, and hopefully she'll stop working with Shinichi Osawa. Avex or not... he's crap.

Zeke. 11th September 2012 07:36 AM

Yeah her new releases are so FLAT!

Kaiouforever 8th January 2013 05:02 AM

Does anyone know how her PARADISE single did?

adantatu2 8th January 2013 05:14 AM

AyumiAi 8th January 2013 07:06 AM

it stilll wows me how an artist can go from having her albums be at number 1 to selling only hundreds of copies of her single in such a quick span of time...

lol this. Japan is really confusing.

koumori 10th January 2013 12:54 AM

That's such a shame. :( I love her new image, and the song deserved a lot better.

ayurocks20 16th February 2013 04:33 PM

She's currently recording her new single and filming the PV for it. She's updated her blog frequently, and has said it will be the first single she's ever written the lyrics for and says she feels it can be a #1 song. She said (in her blog) that she cried upon listening to it for the first time because of how nostalgic it was.

The single should be released around May/June/July and will hopefully NOT be produced by Shinichi Osawa... if it is... that just means it's another flop for Nami.

However, this is the first time she's ever said that a song of hers could do really well (normally she just kinda... releases stuff like farts) so that fills me with some hope. The last song of hers to do well was MY-TTL- (digitally, not physically. it got over 4 million purchases on chaku-uta). She has the potential to be successful again, she just needs to promote her singles more. Hope she does well! ^_^

kakumei 19th February 2013 04:39 PM

Rediscovered Moshimo Negai ga..., still one of my favorite J-R&B songs. Nami has a new single coming out in June. I don't listen to her anymore but just thought I would check up on old artists lol.

Solarblade 26th April 2015 12:35 AM

Yup, 6/3 "Everlasting Love"

I miss Nami's stuff - I'll have to check out that album. News of a new single is great and quite unexpected!

oaristos 13th May 2015 08:53 PM

I'm actually surprised she's still releasing music. I'll give the new material a try once it's out :)

Solarblade 30th May 2015 02:44 PM

Wow i didnt notice there was two threads about Nami strange lol

Solarblade 16th June 2020 07:23 AM

So reviving this thread with the happenings Nami's done since Everlasting Love

She released a digital single, "Mephisto Sheriff ~Mephisto Waltz Yori~ in January of 2018. Produced by Daisuke Asakura (access, T.M.Revolution)

And now she's releasing a new single, 5 years later, "Connect the Truth" which is the ending theme to Ultraman Z....releasing on August 5th (was earlier but was pushed back because of the pandemic), curiously it's being released under Lantis? Seems fitting since anison and all that at least

Teppei-chan 6th August 2020 12:05 AM

Connect the Truth is such a bop, she really needs to Release more music Like this again.
Here is a full version of the song

The single is also up on spotify. Would Love to also see more of her discography available for streaming ( at least here in Germany it isn't) but I guess that won't happen anytime soon.

lovethatkuu&ayu 12th August 2020 11:14 PM

The single debuted at #41, and it is her highest peaking single release, since 2011.

Teppei-chan 18th October 2020 11:43 AM

Found another new Song from Nami, it was released at the end of August.

Really like that song. Now I have Hope that she keeps that sound and release new Song more often again

Solarblade 21st December 2023 01:58 AM
