I just took another look at the track-listing and realized that most of the songs are old songs like WHATEVER and NEVER EVER that have been remixed to death already.

Someone has probably already said this but they should have just focus only on Memorial address-Love songs or NEXT LEVEL-Love songs.

I hope the tracklist for the trance side isn't complete. I want more songs, and some different songs. I understand it's a remix package celebrating her having 50 singles, But the tracklist is full of ballads. At first glance of the tracklist, I thought it was the AO side. Besides, the tracklist looks a bit low. She hasn't released a trance album in almost 8 years and she has 8 albums worth of trance to catch up on, and there's only 12 tracks so far. I really hope there's going to be more.

I hope I'm not going to be disappointed preordering for $132 USD. When the news came out from twitter being the cause of the project I thought we'd get a June 2011 product release. To release in March... seems to me the get so many collaborators finish their part so soon... how well did everyone capture the essence of each track they were responsible for, you know? how much back/forth did Ayu have really w/ ea. remix track... these things I am concerned about.

I don't think that it is a problem to have many ballads on ayu trance 4. You can turn a heartwarming ballad into an upbeat song with a good amount of bass, if it comes to trance genre!

What I really do worry about is the fact that from 12 tracks, only 5 are new. The other 7 tracks are on several ayu-mi-x, ayu-ro, ayu trance albums already.

I think I like your track list better, lol.

Why are people complaining about ayu trance 4 having only 12 tracks? :D Ayu trance 3 had 13 and ayu trance 1 had 14. >.>

Buddy, you need to realize five out of three Ayu songs are ballads and move on with your life.

I think it's much more interesting taking a slower song and turning it into a fast song than taking a fast song and making it...faster? haha. I think M and Endless sorrow's remixes are perfect examples.

and for the acoustic album, taking fast songs and making them acoustic is always interesting.

i mean, of course ballads sound great being all orchestrated and stuff, but it's expected.
Likewise for fast songs and trance remixes.

i mean, i know a lot of people here would have wanted to hear songs like Sparkle being remixed into a trance version, but I doubt it'd really change all that much. Kind of like Naturally's remix. it's not that different. (even though I love that remix, haha)

In my opinion it's more electro j-pop than... trance. Even for vocal trance, 'Sparkle' still contains too much elements of electro pop to be considered as trance.

The trance elements in Sparkle could have been really emphasized had they remixed it. Naturally was mentioned and I love both versions but the remix is TOP OF THE LINE!

I want just the AyuTrance, i'm so happy i want a new AyuTrance since longtime.

the vocals for Rule are still fast, have nothing to do with love, and I'm sure the instruments used would back that up... (at least the way I imagine it)

Her ballad remixes are good, but I still love her upbeat remixes a bit more. STEP you x THE YOUNG PUNX, GAME x YOJI, Naturally (Wippenburg Remix), Real me (Megara vs DJ Lee Remix), etc. Of course, her best remixes imo were the drizzly german releases but I know she'll never go back to that.

I really want AO versions of her fast songs too. GAME (Classical) is absolutely amazing. And so is HONEY (Classical). Such an annoyingly cutesy song turned out to be quite nice. I really love it actually. And the fan mix of Rule that won the remix contest last year was so good too. I think her upbeat songs have much potential for AO.

Who knows. I said a while ago that that's one of the reasons why I don't like megamix. They usually have a few really good remixes that are never more than a few minutes. Some are like 1:30 long too and we'll never get a full version of them.

^They're not on any cd. Naturally (Wippenberg Club Mix) and Naturally (Wippenberg Dub Mix) are on the vinyl "Naturally Wippenberg Remixes 1" and Naturally (Wippenberg Extended Instrumental Mix) is on the vinyl "Naturally Wippenberg Remixes 2".

Her remix album covers are the best of the bunch, they most certainly will blow your mind.

even those though were really cool. Very well done photoshopping. I absolutely adore her remix covers. they're so amazing. The only ones I don't like are ayumix 1's (because they seriously lack in comparison to the rest of the remix covers) and ayuro mix 2 (which looks like a more boring version of MY STORY Classical).

Sadly I never really enjoyed any of her remix album covers... I hope these are better

I don't get the need for a Sparkle AO version. I think that would be terrible. evolution sounds amazing as we've heard on AT07, but Sparkle...? No way, the chorus would feel so empty and really mish-mashy. I'd just be thinking the whole time "everything I love about Sparkle is gone in this version - let's turn this crap off and start the PARTY! WOOT WOOT!" Lmfao.

An AO mix would definitely be interesting but to be honest, I'm SO glad they didn't touch Sparkle with this project. Sparkle is pretty much epic just the way it is. It's already the perfect Ayu dance tune and it's infectious as hell. I introduced it to my brother not too long ago and he thinks it's the best song ever made. :laugh

There are just some songs, in my opinion, that need to be left the hell alone.

^^I know that, but I still think that's a dumb concept. Over half of the ayu-ro-mix album is duplicates.

They should have done each of these albums with tracks from Memorial address to Love songs, and still done a boxset, except the bonus disk would be a non-stop megamix of all of her singles to pay a little homage.

In a way, the concept makes sense. How many of the Japanese pay attention to her songs outside of the singles anyway? I bet you anything if she made a poll for fans to pick which songs would be on these albums the majority, if not all, of them would still be singles. Adding the fact she hasn't had her 51st single yet it's a logical concept. All of the remixes will be brand new so even though they're old songs they'll be redone in a new way and considering (mostly for the "house" and "orchestra" branch) I haven't been a super big fan of some of the stuff on her previous remix albums, I'm looking forward to some oldies.

AND, now that I think about it, many of her album tracks have already had remixes one way or the other recently. Especially in the Orchestra branch.

Oh I'm sure I'll love it all, but still...lol I'm just complaining to complain. You know ayu fans are the hardest to please.

I have almost no doubt the Trance album will nothing less than perfection. I can't really think of a really bad trance remix from Ayu...

Well honestly I think Sparkle could be even better (if that's possible, which I think it is). I just have this vision of really bringing the trance to the forefront and making some tech-trance synth in there. I'm going to be drowning myself in music theory and purchasing a keyboard soon and eventually I have some great plans for songs like Sparkle and Last angel!

I have this vision of the packaging of the box set being similar to H where the front cover is a picture that's exclusive to the box, and then there are 4 flaps that fold out and so in the middle you'll have the thing that holds the CDs, and then on the insides of the flaps you'll have an LP-sized version of each cover so it makes kind of a cross shape. :luv2
