so it happened before, why such a big surprise among fans? :)

idk what to wonder about this tour and the new album '-' this "too much information + lack of information" thing is messing with my head.

ayumisrael 21st December 2011 05:58 AM

ayu's version of Happening Here sounds fun.

ayumint 21st December 2011 05:59 AM

ExodusUK 21st December 2011 06:53 AM

OMG the rap, I can't

OyTony 21st December 2011 07:16 AM

The song is on jpopsuki. =)

YUKARI 21st December 2011 07:35 AM

the song reminds me of NOTHING FROM NOTHING too! but since I like that EP, I also like this cover too :love it sounds so fresh and also gives me feeling like she's still a teenager (or like Fly High is her recent release lol).

I think AT 12 will be lot of fun!

asmAyumi1992 21st December 2011 07:57 AM

I want the rap part too xD

PoetGirl 21st December 2011 08:30 AM

I like the song, I really thought its gonna be awful, but its like mixture of an old school ayu and new ayu, when she starts singing. Its very fun song.

SunshineSlayer 21st December 2011 09:49 AM

When I heard the TRF song, I was actually looking forward to the Ayu version. But unfortunately I think it sounds pretty cheap. Although the rap parts are cute.

I don't really like that it seems that the next Arena tour will be Love Songs even though she has a new album coming out and she is doing it as the CDL. It seems weird.

C+R+E+AYUMI 21st December 2011 09:58 AM

nothing from nothing - the revenge baby!

Earth_maiden 21st December 2011 11:01 AM

I don't know how I feel about the new song... I don't hate it... but I don't love it... :thud

toniayu 21st December 2011 11:06 AM

I like the new song,it isn't my favorite but it's really funny ^_^

truehappiness 21st December 2011 11:46 AM

Wow, that English male rap part is very interesting.

GET READY FOR THE QUEEN AYUMI HAMASAKI, HOTEL LOVE SONGSSS!!

AyUmIXx 21st December 2011 11:50 AM

^ and i wonder whose voice is that...
and i actually found that part is so funny lolssss

truehappiness 21st December 2011 11:57 AM

Probably the guy who normally does TRF's vocals? DJ Koo~

BabyJane 21st December 2011 12:15 PM

I listened to it and honestly I'm still not completely convinced (the ayu rap parts sound...strange ;-)) but I believe it will be fun to watch her perform it on the tour. I'm looking forward to it, maybe then I'll fall in love with the song. Who knows...

Chibi-Chan 21st December 2011 12:38 PM

I found the lyrics to "Happening Here" and its translation on Misa-chan's blog (thanks!^^).
But I can't figure out the lyrics for the rap part (3:10-3:43) they added.
I just can understand "Ladies and Gentleman welcome....?", after that a few words like "pleasure" and "pain" (I thought he says something like "There is a book of all your pleasure, there is a book of all your pain", but I'm not sure). Than he says "No matter if you're rich, poor, boy, girl, straight, gay" After that I'm totally lost, it's way to fast for me to understand. I only understand the words "body" and "dancefloor" and the last sentence "give it up for the Queen Ayumi Hamasaki and HOTEL Love songs".
Please, can anybody help? 'Cause I think this part could be meant as the introduction to what will come next. And after figuring this little bit out I really like the song, and can't stop thinking of HOTEL Love songs as a really grand and fun show. :cool

yamadashun 21st December 2011 12:53 PM

yes i think this song will be fun to be performed on stage but i really don't like the song but ayu's vocal made this song a lot better.

i always find her strong and violent vocal in these kind of song (Dream ON).

relmy 21st December 2011 02:05 PM

Her rapping sounds so old Ayu. It's cute :)

Her vocals sound alright, but the chorus is so cringe worthy.

maikaru 21st December 2011 02:07 PM

I LOVE this song.
It was my childhood, so it's a great thing to listen to it by Ayu.
And her vocals are AWESOME!!

SmokikiE 21st December 2011 02:15 PM

This song is a grower and it is so addictive.

hidekirby 21st December 2011 03:07 PM

The vocals are indeed very clear!
I don't like the song though. It's not really interesting (bland, I can't feel any emotion while listening to it) and the arrangements are really poor.

TeamAyu2004 21st December 2011 03:42 PM

The songs okay... Im not really understanding the tour though....
Since she is coming out with a new album, does that mean she is going to use the themes from Love Songs, to promote, or tour with the new album?

OR...

Are we going to get two tours in 2012? a spring and fall maybe?

ohsixthirty 21st December 2011 06:24 PM

OMFG, i just realized that in the rap part it says "straight, gay."

i like this song now just for that, hahahaha! :roflmao

i hear:
ladies and gentelmen, welcome one and all
...something...
and leave your inhibitions at the door
theres a book of all your pleasure
theres a book of all your pain
don't matter if you're rich, poor, boy, girl, straight, gay

but then the other rapper...i really can't understand much of what he says at all.

isthisLOL? 21st December 2011 09:43 PM

The song is adorable! Her vocals are amazing and it's refreshing to hear her rap, hear other rappers in it and to hear instruments that aren't common in her songs. The chorus is a bit meh but I believe it will be better live.
I also love how she FINALLY adressed homosexuality in her songs by name instead of only visually and metaphorically like before. Even if it was the rapper, it's probably either Ayu's lyrics or something she contributed to haha She definitely agreed to have it in the song at least.

exactly!!! i'm so happy she addressed it, even if it wasn't her voice.

its too bad though that she addressed it in such a crappy song. :( this happened to me with olivia lufkin too, she addressed it in a song and i totally hated the song, haha.

She could add a second ring of water around it. Nana Mizuki did that for her Live Diamond tour and it looked great.

As far as I can remember off the top of my head, usually Ayu's tours begin the 1st week of April and run until June-July. It varies from 1 year to the other.

AT2009 was suppose to run until June, then she added some dates in October, that surprised everyone. I was happy too :D I attended in October. Lol

truehappiness 4th January 2012 03:41 PM

This one may start earlier since she had already planned most of it... but I guess it might just be around the same time as usual.

(AT03-04 essentially started when CDL happened and went for a few months after that.)

ExodusUK 4th January 2012 09:25 PM

Personally a lot of Ayu's performances are starting to resemble stuff from the film Showgirls. So over the top and flamboyant...before she had a good mix of it with the dome/stadium tour but after that she went completely off the deep end after watching one too many Vegas shows. Even with stuff like A-nation there's what seems like 30 people including the band on stage running around Ayu.

maikkun 5th January 2012 02:05 PM

You know what, I honestly think that Ayu knew her vocals are not so good before, so she threw a thousand and fifteen dancers onto the stage to distract us...

And now she's done that, she doesn't want to change it even after her vocals have improved.

AyUmIXx 5th January 2012 02:37 PM

i think she added more dancers into this CDL coz those dancers are part of the show's concept. when they came out in crowd together, those dancers wearing different outfits to represent how each songs' outfits gonna look like. it's like a musical stage and i think ayu's doing that concept.

KillTime111 5th January 2012 03:39 PM

Glad their continuing the Hotel Love Songs Tour despite last years tragic disaster..

Onton 5th January 2012 04:16 PM

adrtwb 9th January 2012 01:56 PM

Omg, i'm waiting for them to announce the dates. I'm planning to tokyo in april or may. Please announce the dates ASAP. When they normally release the dates?

I can't wait for dates too. Excited! I may attend her final show *___*

Pieces_of_SEVEN 10th January 2012 12:15 AM

I WANT TO GO SO BADLY! I have ~$1800 saved so far.

I just wish I knew the dates! And I wish I had someone to go with me! None of my friends are ballin' like that where they can just drop a few grand on a vacation. But I need to see ayu live at least once in my life. Meeting her was AMAZING but now I was a concert. lol

Maybe I can find someone in Japan to befriend.

All I know is as soon as her tour dates come out I need to see them because I am planning to go to Japan later this year, I may have to wait for a countdown tour though depending on the dates. I'm not worried about the tour name...I trust Ayu to surprise us.

If you wait till right before your trip instead of buying them half a year in advance, you can get plane tickets for much cheaper.

seriously? I always thought it was the other way around...could you please elaborate?

Zeke. 10th January 2012 11:33 PM

Yeah I got mine extremely early (well maybe 3 months advance) and it was only like $1600 and included 4/5 night stay at the Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku hotel. That was in 2008. I used travelocity.

Well, I dunno for sure, but every time I've looked, it's a bit cheaper (like $200-400) like 2 weeks or so in advance. :shrug

That's true. But it's risky around busier periods, like summer, Christmas, etc.

saigodansu 11th January 2012 07:23 AM

If you plan on late July, buy tickets in May. You can save over $1000. I ended buying my tickets only 3 weeks in advance in 2010 for $1300, but if I would have hd the money saved in May it would have only been $800. That was for roundtrip through Seattle - Vancouver - Tokyo on JAL. There are also airlines much cheaper than JAL. DELTA I think was the cheapest at that time.

I went to Tokyo in july 2010 too and I bought tickets in....January! 6 months in advance and thanks to, prices were really interesting for me. 1600 euros (2000$) for 7 days/6nights all inclusive of course (trip from airport to hotel, aiplane, the luxury hotel in Shinagawa....). Well I think the better is to buy tickets early in advance. This trip asks preparation but it's my opinion! Oh Departure was from France-Tokyo (direct airplane)

Err generally the closer you buy to the date the more expensive the tickets are.

Look to budget airlines that fly to Japan - and wait for a sale. Always wait for a sale - check out the trends they have with sales, what periods they cover. Generally July is a peak season for travel so finding a good deal will be harder.

I'm planning to see a June/July show as well, if not one of the October shows she usually does. But most likely will be there for a summer show. Finally will see Ayumi and Japan this year. No ifs, no buts, ITS HAPPENING.

I went to see Ayu in October 2009, I bought my ticket in April. It was the best deal I'd ever seen, 950$CAD for a round trip ticket. Normally they go for 1,200-1,500$!!

So it really depends on the season you're going, from where your departing, where you're landing, etc. I would advice against waiting at the last minute, just keep looking every other day if not every day, you don't really have anything to loose by starting your search early on. Worse comes to worse you'll just buy a ticket later rather than sooner...

I noticed summer and Christmas holidays are the busiest. I'm planning to attend CDL12-13 so I'll probably be looking at tickets in June to get a heads up.

seriously? I always thought it was the other way around...could you please elaborate?

Closer to the actual date, airlines are more keen to fill up all the seats so if you look a week before you're likely to get a better deal.

I don't know why flights are so expensive in America

how do you check for a sale? Do you mean through something like travelocity? or expedia? or the actual airline??

Thanks for all the help!!

I use the all-in-one booking sites too, I feel like they help save money.

Expedia, Travelocity, Priceline, etc.

I priced out flight+hotel, same duration, for next week, and then for July, which is in 6 months. Surprisingly, the flight for July is a LOT more expensive! Why is that?! Both packages are for departure on a Monday and a return on a Friday. Hmmmm...

I think because July is a peak flying month...
Thats when everyone travels...

I was thinking about staying in a hostel... it is much cheaper!

Flying to Japan has gotten so expensive in the past couple of years... When I went to Japan in 08 and 09 (both times I got there in June and left in July), my tickets were roughly $800USD. Lately, they've jumped up to waaayyyy past $1000 in those times! I also thought I saw somewhere something about new flying laws or whatnot... Not sure what was talked about, but I think it has something to do with new international flying taxes.

I hope Ayu has dates in April, like she has been these past few years. I planned on visiting Japan again in April, but if I have to go later, that's okay! (It gives me more time to save, ha!) I'm very much anticipating the dates to be revealed!

You could sort of find a loophole if you were going to use JAL. Instead of just clicking round trip or whatever, click the option that says multi-city. You get the same airports and what not and tickets are like $200-$300 cheaper. Sometimes more, sometimes less. In 2009, I went during summer in June, and bought tickets, I think two months out? It was $674 round trip.
