After Ohno Satoshi’s Fuji TV drama “Kagi no Kakatta Heya” announced that their theme song would be Arashi’s new single “Face Down“, fans were left wondering what would be the theme song for Aiba Masaki’s new drama and were pleased to know it would Arashi’s new song. The release date or any other information of “Your Eyes” has not been decided yet. This drama is adapted from the popular mystery novel series ‘Mikeneko Holmes’ by Akagawa Jiro. The story features a detective, Katayama Yoshitaro(Aiba) with a lot of weak points, solve mysteries with Mikeneko (a cat with fur of different colors). As co-stars, Ohkura Tadayoshi from Kanjani8, Fujiki Naohito, Omasa Aya, Matsuko Deluxe and Omi Toshinori will appear in the drama. The first episode will air on April 14th at 9:00 pm (JST). DAIGO will be playing Sakurai's main lead role in the stageplay adaptation of Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de :D
DAIGO, Nishiyama Maki, Wentz Eiji in stage version of “Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de” Higashigawa Tokuya’s bestselling mystery novel “Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de” is getting its first stage adaptation this summer. The main cast will feature singer/actor DAIGO (34), model Nishiyama Maki (26), and WaT member Wentz Eiji (26). “Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de” has so far had two books released, selling more than 2.75 million copies combined. Last year, it was turned into a television drama series on Fuji TV that reached ratings as high as 18.1%. The drama starred Arashi’s Sakurai Sho (30) as the sharp-tongued butler Kageyama and Kitagawa Keiko (25) as Hosho Reiko, the daughter of a wealthy family who works as a novice police detective. Although Reiko’s deductive skills as a detective are lacking, Kageyama helps her solve her cases as she tells him details while he serves her dinner. For the stage version, DAIGO will take on the role of the butler Kageyama, and Nishiyama will play Reiko. Wentz will play Nishiyama’s superior at the police station. i haven't been here in a while, but i caught up with arashi's recent music! and omg is "Face Down" amazing or what?! :thud the PV is so awesome. :heart the guys look so hot, seriously, lol. :P the song itself is just brilliant. i'm so happy that there's a sakurap, and it rocks! this single is just amazing in every way. i'm like almost speechless, haha. i love every single, but this is like that "hot" a-side that i've kinda been waiting for. it's just so...amazing. :heart
i also heard "Your Eyes" (another single next month is just such happy news for me, lol. i didn't expect it!) and it's a really nice song! i love it obviously, haha. but right now i'm gonna have "Face Down" on repeat. like seriously, this song is just.....brilliant. :cool i'm a really happy arashi fangirl right now, but i always am because it's arashi, haha. :D |

Well, that was expected for #1. I have to say this: I had to play "realistically" in terms of sales between Arashi and NMB48. I mean, NMB48 has quite some good momentum, but they're still in their first year (well, almost the end of it), while Arashi already has more than ten years of experience. I'm sure NMB48 will have the popularity on par as, say, SKE48, but when competing with Arashi, that's still not a chance yet, until there's some decline showing on Arashi...
...but what I'm seeing here is that Arashi has yet to lose some steam. As of now, the only group that can outsell Arashi would be AKB48, but I'm not sure what's going on with them either... ...but anyways, that's a good job getting #1. And I think that's it - we've been familiar with AKS groups' drops that are more steep than Johnny's groups; these boys are pretty far more consistent than the girls... By the way, any higher resolution covers for the single? |

"Nikkei Entertainment!"'s June edition, which is now on sale, features its fifth annual "Talent Power Ranking." Arashi tops Nikkei’s ‘Talent Power Ranking’
Which celebrities are drawing the most attention and have the highest name value? The answers were revealed through the June issue of information magazine ‘Nikkei Entertainment!‘. This ‘Talent Power Ranking’ is held every quarter by Nikkei Entertainment and was created by ARCHITECT Co., Ltd.. They take a survey and examine people’s “degree of recognition” and “degree of interest” out of 1,196’s talents. From the survey, they calculate each talent’s “talent power score” and a wide range of celebrities can be on this ranking including actor/actress, comedians, musicians, athletes, announcers and more. The winner for the latest ranking is none other than Arashi. The group moved up one spot from their second place finish last year. The individual members also ranked in the top 50, Sakurai Sho is #15, Aiba Masaki is #28, Ohno Satoshi is #30, Ninomiya Kazunari is #31 and Matsumoto Jun is #41. Southern All Stars raised up their ranking to claim second place even though they’re on hiatus. The magazine analyzed that it’s mainly because of the constructive activities of Kuwata Keisuke for supporting the victims of the Tohoku earthquake. He had produced a charity songs and held concerts in Miyagi, and such activities raised the profile of Southern All Stars. Matsushima Nanako ranked in third place. Usually HEYx3 will be recorded about 2 weeks + prior to the actual broadcast on TV but yeah what they did on MUSIC STATION regarding the Love so sweet + Face Down medley & comparing it against what they did on HEYx3 , it's such a big difference |

Sakurai Sho to be NTV’s main caster for London Olympics
It’s been revealed that Arashi’s Sakurai Sho will be NTV’s main caster for the upcoming London Olympics. This will be Sakurai’s third time to serve as the main caster for the Olympics. His first time was Beijing in 2008, then Vancouver in 2010. Sakurai is scheduled to report live from London from the opening day, July 27th. He expressed, “After experiencing my first ‘Olympics’ in Beijing, I got to deliver reports with my feelings of a lot of emotion and excitement. To be able to deliver the Olympics once again as a main caster, I feel very honoured.“ Sakurai has been gathering data to prepare himself for the Olympics, but he’s especially interested in swimmer Kitajima Kosuke. “4 years ago, Kitagawa eyes were glistening, and he looked like he was full of competitiveness. Right now, I feel his commitment to analyze himself by overlooking ‘his bad period’. This live DVD covers their 2-day concert at National Olympic stadium on September 3-4. Although the live concert started in bad weather and the members were unable to have enough rehearsals on stage due to a typhoon, Arashi livened up over 140,000 fans with their performance over the two days. Aiba Masaki Talks About Arashi Live Tour

Nonetheless, Aiba also said that they will be saddened if they won't be able to do a live tour this year. Ninomiya Kazunari Goes Blond for New Drama

The special drama is titled, "Kuruma Isu de Boku Na Sora wo Tobu" (I will fly to the sky on a wheelchair!). The 28 year-old Johnny's talent will be playing a guy from a broken family who became a delinquent due to lack of proper guidance. After he got crippled at 15-year old, he decided to mend his wrong ways by becoming a counselor and helps to reform those in similar situation as him. It has been 10 years since Ninomiya have dyed his hair blonde; Ninomiya said in a TV interview that the rest of Arashi members were dumbfounded with his new hair colour. Ninomiya Kazunari to star in “24Hour Television” drama special
It was revealed that Arashi member Ninomiya Kazunari will be starring in “Kuruma Isu de Boku wa Sora wo Tobu” which will air as a drama special on NTV’s annual charity telethon, “24Hour Television.“ Ninomiya will play a man who is confined to a wheelchair and can never walk on his own for the rest of his life. He was a delinquent since junior high school, and he became paralyzed on the lower half of his body after some trouble with a punk. Reportedly, Ninomiya dyed his hair to blond to match with the role. Arashi’s Ohno Satoshi and Nara Yoshitomo collaborate to create “24Hour Television” T-Shirts
http://static.tokyohive.com/wp-conte...n_shirts-2.jpg On May 23rd, it was revealed that Arashi’s Ohno Satoshi (31) attended an announcement conference for this year’s “24Hour Television 35 ‘Ai wa Chikyuu wo Sukuu’” (to be held on August 25th to the 26th) and announced his collaboration with artist Nara Yoshitomo (52) to create the design for the program’s charity T-shirts. Regarding this big project, Ohno explained the T-shirt’s design with, “It’s simple. I think it would help build the future from the beginning.” On the back of the shirt, the theme for this year’s 24Hour Television, “Future”, is printed and is characterized by its bold strokes. Ohno, who wrote the character for “Future” in calligraphy, stated, “There was only one piece of paper left and I thought, ‘Let’s finalize it with this piece of paper’ and wrote the characters intuitively. I was happy with the final product. It’s great,” confidently speaking to the audience on the design. In the overall DVD and music-DVD chart, popular Johnny's group, Arashi have topped both charts simultaneously with "ARASHI LIVE TOUR Beautiful World". Their total DVD sales now have reached 6.144 million, making them the only artist to have exceeded more than 6 million of DVD sales.
In 2nd place is Morning Musume with a total of 2.724 million of DVD sales. This is the 2nd best-selling music-DVD in the first week in history so far.
