Amazing album, even though GOLD was better.
The new tracks are pretty nice, I like I Hate You and I'll be there the most. The packaging for GOLD was better too, but I absolutely love the booklet this time. The pictures are gorgeous! |

I really like Weekend High. After a few listens it just clicked. I especially like the verses and pre-choruses. The bridge is hilarious but fun. I hate you is pretty amazing, too. Still need some time to take the other two new tracks in. But they are likeable. All in all, such an amazing album. Even if still, I feel that GOLD is just tad better.

Weekend High is like a much better version of HERO. I love it so much! I love it so much! But my favorite album track has got to be I'll be there. Flawless song. |

Review for JASMINE Complexxx. The strongest single this era have to be Best Partner!! The a side & b side are flawless. ONE & ONLY YOU are my least favorite single, but Addiction is really addicting "don't fu*k with me". High Flying & HERO are my club bangers. Now, the four new songs, my least fave is Realize. For "I Hate You", I felt like I heard something similar a while ago. "Weekend High" got to be the best out of the four new songs, catchy and gives me a High Flying vibe, but the climax or high point of the song sounds a little weird and funny (lol). "I'll be there" is a great album closer, when the song first released, I thought it was boring, but after listening to the the album all the way through, it is flawless. Overall, I'll give the album 8/10. 3 years and only 4 new song isn't enough for me (call me greedy, but I want more).

really disappointed in the sales, even though it's not a huge surprise. I do really enjoy the album. I like "Weekend High" but I HATE that she says "Thanks God it's Friday night." lol just irks me.

Thank you so much for the Weekend High translation! I could only figure a few lines she was saying. This one is probably my favorite new track on the album. (I couldn't say that on the first few listens, though.)
And the "Thanks God it's Friday night" thing just got enjoyable for some reason. It's good old Engrish so maybe that's why I like it, lol. |

My boyfriend likes her a lot, because she has that urban hip-pop thing going on. His favorite song is BEST PARTNER, so while we were in Japan, I went to a few places to make sure I could buy the single. :)

I preordered the limited edition last night at CDJapan. Although I'm pretty certain this album will be following the new direction she has taken with her music, I'm hoping that she also includes some of her older sounds that are still upbeat and fit the "live" concept she's going for.

I don't think this looks like given up...they probably just stopped making her appeal to the wider mass...maybe she herself decided to stray away from popular mainstream music.
To me this album looks like a very creative and proficlic, yet probably not profitable release which is what every artist whishes for. |
