^Well, the oden was partially edible but very bland, and the takoyaki was just a sloppy mess. So in the end I threw most of my food away and paid the 1800 yen for two pairs of chopsticks, plus I threw away all of angel_ayumi's portion, since she wasn't there to eat it. XD

truehappiness 24th December 2013 05:37 PM

I think the main goal for those things is making money + giving people something warm/'traditional' to eat/drink over providing delicious foods. They could probably do an A CAFE with hot drinks though and A logo cocoa/latte art, so who knows if they've thought of that over the oden/takoyaki/soba?

TeamAyu2004 24th December 2013 06:23 PM

wow... these goods are...
different.

Hi guys! Can anyone translate this?

truehappiness 27th December 2013 03:54 AM

Looks like if you buy the CD or MUSIC CARDS, you will get a giant LP sized (like Love songs USB edition) card/print of that cover.

I think they nv mention the size. The expensive part should be the workmanship. And it's made of clay unlike the regular ayupans we are having.

truehappiness 27th December 2013 02:05 PM

It has to be on a different scale than the normal ayupan imo....

I hope it's no larger than the sega series ayupan.... no place for storage already. ... provided I can snatch from mu-mo on time >. <

Yoake 27th December 2013 06:49 PM

God!! Want it but too expensive X_X

Earth_maiden 28th December 2013 04:27 PM

If the RRP is 18900 yen, I shudder to think what the resellers will price it at. $300? $400? :thud

truehappiness 28th December 2013 08:50 PM

Probably. It seems like an artisan craft item, so it's priced accordingly. I wonder just who will buy it...

toniayu 28th December 2013 08:54 PM

OMG,I want it so badly!!! I Wish I could buy it :(

kinix 29th December 2013 03:23 AM

Fully man made clay ayupan. From the picture, the size is slightly bigger than the Sega ayuapns! Should be ard 5inches tall (>.< no place for it)

truehappiness 29th December 2013 09:51 AM

Looks like the horse daruma sold out extremely fast!

ayuuk 29th December 2013 04:09 PM

Daruma is always popular. So Japanese just place it at home as a decorative item?

I guess you know what's the purpose of Daruma? I guess they'd buy one for New Year anyway, so instead of a traditional one they get Ayu-style one, I still have mine back from 2005, unfortunately, still with only one eye :(

tiffanytgs 29th December 2013 05:48 PM

Btw the horse ayupan is slightly bigger den the usual size too xD juz gt mine today! Lucky they didnt sell as fast as the daruma

Eh what's the purpose of daruma??

truehappiness 30th December 2013 01:02 AM

It's a good luck charm for the year. Usually the eyes are blank though to fill them in at the beginning/end of the year or something to make a wish, but this one has them filled in since it's a bit of a novelty item. I still want one, haha.

SKYia 30th December 2013 03:42 PM

haha, didn't realize it has filled eyes, then I don't know why they would buy them beside collecting an Ayu item, and yeah, basically you draw one eye making a wish and them if the wish is fullfilled (doesn't matter when) you 'thank Daruma' by drawing the other eye.

~angel*ayumi~ 1st January 2014 01:41 PM

Won chopsticks on yahoo ^^ canīt wait to get them, they are so pink *_*

rainbow_smile 1st January 2014 06:55 PM

^ Wow! Congratulations! How much did you get them for? *.*

~angel*ayumi~ 1st January 2014 09:13 PM

1100 Yen ^^

rainbow_smile 1st January 2014 11:21 PM

Woah, that's not too expensive! I wish I could get these as well .__.

~angel*ayumi~ 8th January 2014 12:39 PM

As expected the Clay Ayupan is sold out allready ^^

Earth_maiden 8th January 2014 02:04 PM

If you go to any temples around the new year in Japan you can buy a regular daruma for 300-500 yen or so. I know its all special because its Ayu merchandise, but honestly I wouldn't waste my money on an Ayu themed daruma. Especially one that already has both eyes filled in, what's the point of that? :thud

truehappiness 8th January 2014 08:10 PM

It's just a cute collector's item. I don't think people would use the Horse Daruma for anything other than display for the year/New Year.

Well if I bought an Ayu daruma I certainly wouldn't violate it by actually USING it and drawing in the eyes myself XD And I'm probably not the only one. There are display items and there are useful items, and this is clearly a display item. Like a barbie doll you don't play with.

SKYia 21st January 2014 10:12 AM

The goods are on yesasia.

Earth_maiden 21st January 2014 12:50 PM

So Yesasia are liars then? :shakehead

~angel*ayumi~ 21st January 2014 01:13 PM

Maybe they got so much ppl who asked for the goods so they redecided in selling them.
