I was actually hoping she'd prefer some less 'obvious' brands, some less known 'artist' she could promote. When a person is rich it's always Chanel, Loboutin or Dior, this disappoints me on some level, maybe because I don't see any splendor in those, they are so overused. Is the quality of those products really that great or is it actually just the name? Chosing these brands makes me think of Ayu as more ordinary, more like Kardashian and any other rich person who just wants to buy as much as possible of what is most known and not necessarily what it the best. But well, it's her money, she can do whatever she wants.

You people have huge collections of ayu stuff or other artist/japanese music huge collections, buying multiple versions of the same release for example is like ayu buying the same kind of shoes in different colors. No one here can really judge her about things she does. She is working for all the luxury she has and as long as she is not doing crimes everything is ok =)
It's interesting to see the things she likes, even though a lot of times women can relate to it more (since ayu buy stuff that fits her gender lol) but I like the cute and gorgeous pics that come with these books so I get it too. Give the woman a break and don't judge her for having a consuming/luxury life. I'm coming from an average - economic family, and if I would earn as much as ayu does it would be really comfortable to get these stuff. It's harder to relate if we are not there but it's ok to have ambitions to get such stuff as well. + Don't forget that everything she releases it's first and foremost for the Japanese audience, and Japanese women are INTO these things wether they have money or less.

She's always had a love for these name brands... I'm not really sure why anyone would have thought that she'd be into anything else when she's been so upfront about being a Chanel/LV/Dior/etc. addict.

This kind of book imo isn't really a 'collectible' like most tour goods. It's actually something people have been asking for her to do for ages now as far as I can recall.

No one should tell her what to do. She also could do billions charities and no one would know about it, maybe she does charity and doesn't like to shove it in people's faces? We know she donated a lot to the victims of tohoku 2011 and she did the breast cancer thing in HK.

It's amusing to see how people are always saying "why don't she do this" "why don't she do that", and now while she released everything they asked for, she got bashed at. Literally, everything that she does now a day always get some kind of complaints lol.

I'm not saying what she did was wrong... Well, all of us knows she's a rich... So showing her LV, Chanel, birkin etc wouldn't surprise us so much... She really should do something more meaningful... Like releasing a book about her travelling diaries, helping the poor, her musical passion etc... Not so much about her and her branded items/high maintainance life. :):)

It feels like they're doing it just for popularity, whereas charity is a more "do it in your home" thing. It's much more genuine.

Personally I would kill for an autobiography !! I have no problem with this book and I don't understand why some people complain ? since the begining this book was made for speak about fashion and other things like that ... She has the time to release another book with a more important topic ^^

Not a bad thing, but let's say you'll be pleased everyone knows about it (as if this would be a sin).And a lot of people will complain about that. Oh, if 2011 horrible japanese disaster taught me something, the public will complain a lot about her doing it for publicity.

IMHO it's not a surprise that she got a ton of stuffs, but like most artists, i believe some are endorsed, meaning she got paid to wear that for free (especially if she mentions the brand name like that). So it's not like she's trying to shove it in our faces, probably she got paid to show those LVs and chanels in this book as well.

What's shocking is she only owns a few birkins (in an ironic way), cause even a friend of mine has a whole closet.

Anyway, wasn't Ayu very active of doing charity? I remember seeing reports that she donated a lot of money during the earthquake and something to do with children as well. and she also collaborated during song+nation for 9/11 victims right? for me it's all about balance...she has a money...she can do anything she want to do with that...but she is doing charity as well, so even if she has a glamorous lifestyle, i think it's suit her...we can't bring money when we die, we need to spend it in a balance way.

I think mu-mo doesn't have poster tubes and they send by carton box. The last time I got was 2 qty (2Cd+2 poster) and they sent it together in a huge rectangular box.

I don't think they COULD use poster tubes, because then they'd have to separate the order and send items in different parcels... and it probably goes against their tos or something.

I think that circle of trainers is Isabel Marant. For those interested she seems to have quite a lot of Jo Malone fragrances and some candles too. I also recognise Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb perfume (which I wear too!) Some of the choices I wouldn't have associated with Ayu. I think Gucci and Chanel for Ayu mainly. The Row definitely suits Ayu's blazer over the shoulders look. I love the pages shown so far, I really think I'd like to buy this!
And for those for are interested in the fur issue. French Connection is unlikely to be real fur because of the price point but Fendi still is. Karl Lagerfeld is still in charge of Fendi and although one of his Chanel collections was done completely in fake fur, the customer base does still demand it so they will keep using it unfortunately.

The brand may just be using the book as backwards advertising. Bundling the products and saying that Ayu used them to sell units.

They may have paid, but they could also just be cashing in on them being featured.

The brand itself looks really nice and natural, I'll be trying them out once I've used up the stuff I have. :)

Seems like she's got 3 house. 1 Beach house, 1 Main house in Japan and 1 in LA. Love the main house decoration wall where all her albums were displayed seems to have ayupans displayed too but not being fully disclosed in the pic. A bit too dark though. but the facilities in the 3 houses is just too damn good >.< would sure love to have a vacation in her house haha.
