I loved all songs! Warning is my fav! *-*
|
I don't see any 1'17'' and any record :(
|
^scroll down
Warning - WOW!!! LOVING THIS! The GIFT - I'm ballad sucker and this one is good! No future - TK? Out of control - not so clear...mid tempo ballad Show must go on - Sounds catchy! Story - I like this better than The GIFT...there is oriental touch on the melody...i like this! and more touching! i prefer this one. my fav - Warning and Story |
I'm really excited for this. I remember hearing the colours previews and being a bit concerned. But these just give me all good vibes. The composition of the parts that I can hear already sound great so I'm hoping it's the same for the rest. As long as we have at least 4 upbeat songs I'm good and I think that's reasonable. I really love Last Minute and Walk and aside from the mixing on Last Minute, think they're good quality songs from her. The new ballads seem to have potential, and so even though I'm not a ballad person, if they are walk quality, then I don't mind. This album seems to be shaping up well. But of course, I'll need better quality previews or well, the whole songs, to really know.

Trying...not....to listen....!!!!

lol i dunno how i feel about the songs..... the quality is really lame. At least i can tell that i'm not feeling dissapointed.lol

Warning and Story are the more clear wans I feel and they sound really good!!!! Story feels like the final piece to the Ivy-Walk-__ trilogy :D
Show must go on's repitiveness does remind me of snowy kiss haha No Future feels like Like a doll but more uplifting sadly The GIFT feels like a c-pop song..haha but no surprise. I think her vocals sound veryyyy controlled here :) I hope it builds up. I know JJ's song very amazing progression. |
And the reason there are still 2 songs unveiled is because they're Movin' on without you and Tell All (original mix).
Imagine the drama here :P |

Sounds great! my favourite so far is no future. Really promising! Can't wait:yes
|
Show Must Go On and No Future sounds soo catchy!!
|
This album seems to be really focussing on Ayu's return to form, including a cover song would be kind of weird conceptually. I wouldn't care, I like the song, but I don't expect it.
Tell All original mix wouldn't be bad either to me. We'd finally get the original in CD quality. But again, I'm not expecting that. Having both the original and the new mix on the TA album would be kind of strange. Also, considering even the new mix is on TA only versions, she's done a great job keeping it (in essence) a limited song. Obviously with the internet that doesn't stay that way, but the effort is there. (My memory is failing me--was that song gifted to anyone who purchased all those releases? Or was it a TA limited song? I can't remember haha. I remember the song's title being discussed that the initials are TA--which is making me question how it was obtained.) Buut there's always that possibility. :) |
After previews check... I'm not excited anymore. I'll probably like only those 2 fast tracks because the rest is just BORING and I heard that all before (maaaany times).
|
lmao people are totally gonna shit bricks because they're all midtempo/ballads. probably the kind that her Japanese fans would adore. I like that the titles aren't super Engrishy. Conceptually, the album seems like it's going to be fairly cohesive. Expecting some solid lyrics.
I have absolutely no idea what's even going on in "Show must go on" or "out of control" because of the horrendous quality. |
Quote:
The previews were ok. I don't think I'll be buying this. But I liked that 'cpop' ballad. I'm always here for old, stale, and boring ayu ballads. Maybe ayu needs an intervention, spring awakening, etc. Or just stick with electro music from top producers. That worked out well. |
If her fans would adore ballads so much she would be still on the top of popularity. Anyway... ballads are still better than cute style songs like "Feel the love" (where she sounds like would be part of HelloProject) or "Party Queen" related things.

I honestly believe that it is imposible to make an album that EVERYONE would like. |

I also want not to listen to the sings until I hear them at the concert or buy the CD^^ |

Colours is a disaster.
Well Previews (besides boring ballads) sounds very ayuish and not boring, yet i will be satisfied :) |
never fails to amaze me how such low quality previews of barely ANY prominent part of song and people are saying they are boring haha...its another thing to be excited, because well, feeling positive is always good. but shooting down something so quickly..well, i dunno LOL
Cant wait for the official tracklist and more info |
Mmmmmh that thing won't play on my tablet... Did anybody find another link by any chance?
|
So I was listening the previews and my impression was:
Rock song: 1 LOVE Show must go on: Pop/Electronic maybe with Rock? Out of control: Sunrise Sounds like you heard it before and no in the AYU GODESS way. I think I would like the most 2 or 3 new songs. This is not the full album but I don't understand why she didn't make 2 or 3 tracks more for the album. There are 2 new songs supposed to be new full tracks that are secret. If they were Intro/Interlude I don't know how to think -.- |
Quote:
I'm also trying to hold out until I have the CD in my hands--we'll see how that works out, lmao |
I'm agreeing with freedreamer on this.
|
For me, Colours was a nice experiment and produced some good tracks. Nothing too outstanding but different for Ayu.
This is a return to her usual stuff IMO. Everything sounds fabulous. Story has to be Yukumi. |
Hm, those previews are pretty bad quality. But Warning is the outstanding song for me like expected (should blend well with Tell All). Looking forward to it.
The ballads and that midtempo song, hm, well... can't say much yet, but chances are big, I won't like them. The other two sound quite electro and could be nice. Overall indeed pretty typical Ayu sounding. |
I'm so excited, I want the album like NOW. the first preview is outstanding.
ARGH CANNOT WAIT!!! |

Sorry, not trying to be rude, but I get really sick of this hypocritical mindset of people here always saying "HOW CAN U HATE SOMETHING FROM A PREVIEW" when in the same post they turn around and jizz all over how much they love it. It's just stupid. Did I mention hypocritical? If I can't form an opinion on a LQ preview, then neither can you. No ifs, ands, or buts. |
Well, i listened to all tracks:
Warning: Awesome; The GIFT: Cute, i think i'll like it; No future: It sounds nice and fun; Out of control: It sounds nice too, but it was TOO short for me to have a good/bad impression; Show must go on: It sounds fun, those "Yeah, yeah" (?) almost made me deaf lol; Story: Seems pretty, but nothing special. As for judging them only by short previews, well, i've had no problem doing this, since all my predictions were always right (for me), with the only exception being Terminal, but who knows, it might be a different case this time, let's just wait. :D |
I would personally encourage positive feedback towards something that is LQ but people are going to feel how they feel regardless of quality sometimes.
Basically, it just makes more sense for a fanbase to receive something well regardless of quality as opposed to despising something from an LQ preview recorded out of someone's pocket covered with a tissue. Of course, you can feel the way you want, but I think people who enjoy the track at such a low quality are more likely to like it later on... while someone who doesn't like it might change their mind with the higher quality version. |
Tom Punks, you do have a point. Low quality previews might not make the best judgement on the songs, but one can DEFFINITELLY make a first impression out of them. Full songs in HQ and good quality previews can change it, but really. It is possible to get an idea. It's not like the previews are 5 seconds long and of this quality, that would be adifferent story
|
Out of control is like my type of Ayu song, ahhhhhhhhh. It has that uplifting feel that I love from certain tracks. It just exudes hope.
|

This is very much a return to her usual. In a good way. I don't really think there's much more for ayu to try without it being too far out or too strange for most of her fans to enjoy. I could barely handle colours lol. No more Angels please lol. Like it's funny when people say she has a song like x or y already, and then complain based on that fact by itself. Honestly, she has a song like everything at this point. I'm more concerned with the execution and quality of the songs which I hope to be good for this album. |
I really cannot really say anything about the songs because the quality it's so bad lol.
As far as I can hear from the previews, overall this album would be kinda safe but not so boring as LOVE again. I guess. It's quite difficult to judge the songs for me now. |

I think the problem i have with ppl saying "i don't like the previews, it sucks" is that i always see the exact same people complaining during every single release. Ok, you don't like ayu songs anymore, you wish she'd just go back to (insert old album here). Like idk, MOVE ON and stop complaining on the forum dedicated to her. A forum is a place where i can share my excitement and love for my favorite singer, not read old fans complaining because they're still stuck in 2006 and can't accept that their fav singer has changed
|
My guesses:
No future - Tetsuya Komuro Out of control - Tetsuya Yukumi Story - Tetsuya Yukumi or Kunio Tago Warning - Kazuhiro Hara or Yuta Nakano Show must go on - Yuta Nakano Yuta hasn't done many compositions lately though. |

Honestly the previews are too much LQ ... too much noises but from what I can hear it will be 50% uptempo 50% mid-tempo/ballads ! one of the ballads seems to be interesting musically & the uptempo songs seems fresh ! But it's really difficult ...I "admire" people that can have such a strong opinion (good or bad) with such quality.
I will try to not listen to HQ previews if we get them before the release I don't want to spoil myself 1 month before the release XD I pray for the two remaining tracks be actually songs and not interludes mmhhhh :s |
I immediately thought TK after hearing the snippet of Show must go on. Idk tho.
|
Do you think it is the song that was a bit hard for Ayu to sing? I can kind of hear that.
|
^
Oh yes I think she sings really high in one of the preview ;) |

Show must go on seemed an interlude to me at first.

I can already tell I'm going to love "Out of control". It's exactly the type of song I was hoping from her. The rest I'm going to have to wait it out but from what I CAN hear... There's not really any duds except for perhaps The GIFT :\ It's just not clicking with me but, we'll see.
|
I'll try not to listen to them... I just started listening one of the songs and the quality is HORRIBLE. We won't know if the song is good or not with that quality. I remember I hated "What is forever love" preview and now I love it, hahha.
|
Yeah, "Show must go on" seems like a typical song Ayu might have some trouble recording.
and omg that 'sparkly' synth throughout "Story" gives me gooooooooosebumps. It almost feels reminiscent of the synth in ASFXX. Soooooo classic. God, now I'm having flashbacks of my angst-ridden 14 year old self listening to ASFXX. Just thinking about how Ayu's music truly seemed to help me get through those years. OK I need to pour myself a glass of bourbon, light a Milena's Boutique candle, and hop in the bath because I'm a sentimental mess right now. |
The previews sound good but not amazing. A one, so far sounds like a forgettable album. :yes
|
"Story" sounds like a classic Ayu ballad to me. Ayu's usual interviewer said "Pray" was like a classic Ayu ballad, not to me - Story is just.... YES. THERE. THAT.
'No future" definitely sounds like millennial globe track - THIS is the TK sound I like, this kind of melody is one of the things that drew me to J-Pop in the first place. It's nice to hear Ayu do a track that really nails my favorite aspects of the TK sound. "Show must go on" and "Warning" are my two favorites based on the clips overall. "The Gift" is about what I expected, which is to say... a sound that, to me, is nothing special - but mixing & lyrics may make me fall in love with it. Mixing and lyrics are gonna be pretty big factors in my enjoyment of the album overall. This sounds like the ayu on Party Queen and the ayu on Colours had a baby lol - let's just hope it inherited the right features from each one. |
Obviously LQ but I think I like what I hear so far. I appreciated that Colours tried different things but I love Ayu's Ayu-ish songs which A ONE sounds like a return to :D
|
Thank you for sharing!
Typical ayu indeed, very classic like the last single was. The melodies sound promising so far. I'm just really concerned by the arrangements. I hope they will be a bit surprising and not using the same formula again again and again, making the songs boring and bland. |
I love the songs <3 except the ballads. Hahaha. I think this is going to be the first album without a masterpiece ballad for ME.
|
I already have No future stuck in my head :luv2:luv2
So either Warning or Show must go on gets a PV, eh? |
I'm pretty surprised by how "Ayu" this all sounds.
The only song that sticks out is The GIFT. If I were Ayu, I would be crying over having to sing such a horrible fucking tune. It sounds like shit, and that's after spraying a fuck ton of audio Febreze on it. I seriously would've been like, "OH! Is this beloved?" No, Ayu, it's a new song. "But it sounds like curtain call..." No, Ayu, it's a new song. "But remember when I did JEWEL?!" No, Ayu, it's a new song. No, it fucking isn't. Seriously, who gives that as a fucking gift? If someone came up to me and said, "I wrote The GIFT for you, it's a gift, I want you to sing it," I would probably be like, "Oh, thank you, but could you just, you know, fuck me in the ass without any lube?" Because I would be a bit insulted. I mean, what am I supposed to do with the sheet music for The GIFT? I could wipe my ass with it, but I would feel like I was bullying my asshole. Serious. What. Do. You. Do. With. The GIFT? EDIT: "See, I did this song before though, it's called Wishing...?" No, Ayu, this is a new song. "But I did this better with teddy bear." No, Ayu, this is a new song. "Are you sure this isn't that who... remix I did?" No, Ayu, this is a new song. "It sounds like forgiveness (acoustic mix)." No, Ayu, this is a new song. "Or Carols without any rock instruments." No, Ayu, this is a new song. "Ok, ok... Are you sure this isn't Sunset ~LOVE is ALL~?" No, Ayu, this is a new song. "meaning of Love? how beautiful you are?" But it's a new song, Ayu. |
"The GIFT" and the whole JJ Lin thing is merely a promo stunt to suck up to Chinese-speaking fans, probably. She wants to expand throughout Asia. Everyone knows C-pop is ass and that all the melodies are essentially the same, lol.
It's unfortunate though because she gave this particular song its own PV! Idk, I think it could end up being a sweet song in the end, but I do think it's the blandest preview so far. |
Quote:
Ayu seemed love it too much and she 's also confident that we would like the PV... So strange that the song is bad as your description |
"Everyone knows c-pop is ass" lmao.
Mostly true, but Jolin's Dancing Diva was a bop back in the day. |
2 songs left.
Hope these two will be full songs, not interludes or Movin' on without you & Tell All. |

I really liked the ballad that I heard (labeled 1'38"), though I have no idea how anyone can tell which song is which. XD
Anyway, I think it sounds good so far. It sounds so Ayu-ish to me, but in a way that I like. Of course, I won't really know until I hear better quality versions. :D |
The one labeled "1'27" is the only one I don't like from the previews. Everything else sounds amazing so far!
|
Warning sounds promising. The GIFT is boring, don't remember how it sounds like. the rest I couldn't make out from the quality. regardless, still pretty looking forward!

I've been a huge Elva fan for years. She's too damn talented for her own good. But I was so sad that Jolin Tsai slapped that bitch right out of the water with PLAY. I couldn't help it. Jolin did it better. And I laughed, and I cried, and I was impressed with everything but her collab with Namie Amuro which just came across cheesy and B-level. I will say that Elva's Shut Up & Kiss Me is too hard to forget, whereas Jolin's tracks rolled off my shoulders. But MUSE. MUSE is still hard to beat even 2.5 years later. I've come across some great one-hit Mandopops so far: Stefanie Sun got me with "Telling The World The Words From My Heart" and "Kingdom of Fools" in 2011. Hebe Tian's records are always packed with fillers, but there's usually at least two songs I can't get out of my head for months. I can barely make it through "You Better Not Think About Me", as it came out only a couple months after my ex and I separated, and only a couple weeks after I realized he wasn't going to call me back... like ever. The video is a roller coaster for me too. She's done a beautiful job with other videos like "MY LOVE" and "Angel Devil". She's also fun on mid-tempo tracks like "Learning from Drunkenness" Angela Chang is usually entertaining, but Visible Wings was not a good record. I miss her rock days sometimes, but I think she does electronic music well... sometimes. Sandy Lam got me hard in 2012 with GAIA. The best song I've heard so far this year is A-Lin's "All In"... it sends shivers up my spine when the first chorus kicks and there's nothing but her layered voice over arpeggio synths and a lo-fi snare. The rest of the album isn't as good, but I will listen to "All In" on repeat sometimes. aMEI hands down stole best record for 2014 with Faces of Paranoia... That record had a few weird tracks, but seriously. If you want to hear a good, somewhat new Mandopop record, Faces of Paranoia is it. Jump In, Booty Call, and Dog are all decent tracks, but the fucking magic is in the ballads. "Do You Still Want To Love Me?" talks about all the fucked up things we hide from people, knowing any one of those fucked up things can be enough to make them leave, and then someone says it doesn't scare them... but it does, and they leave, unraveling all of these false things they built with you. There are lines in "March" that I may never forget, particularly the last ones about the time of two people will not go on, and surely only one of the two will want to remember. FACES OF PARANOIA's video leaves me speechless; I still have no words for that song or the video... it's just a lot to take in. And Autosadism... it's hard to describe, but think of being in love with the pain of having been in love. Anyway, aMEI is also incredible when doing hard rock under the mononym Amit. So... yeah. Lots of good stuff there. and stuff. |
omg, the previews sound so good. I'm gonna cry ;__; There is TOTALLY a difference between when she records in LA and Japan; in Japan, she's not distracted by all the glitz and glamour - and shitty hyped up producers. She sounds like she's at home and relaxed, and could really focus on the album.
Are those the actual titles AyuAngel posted though? lol at "no futur" |
According to the previews my favorite of the prewviews is No Future. Definitely sound like an up beat Love song (it really has a top notch composition!!).
They mostly sound dashing, I'm expecting good stuff. I just wonder if the other 2 songs are full songs or interludes... Tell All is TA exclusive so it can't be a part of the 11 tracks tracklist. |
Quote:
|
Well, I can't say for 100% but it doesn't feel like original Tell All will be there. Maybe on A BEST 3 if at all.
Btw I won't be surprised if No Future will have a la la la la... part with the chorus' composition. I love it so much! No Future really got me. |
Wonder when she'll unveil the covers? Hopefully next week.
|
Well there's still a month and a week until the release. It's still kinda early.
Maybe in two weeks. No Future preview caught me like a pokemon with a master ball. |
i love what i'm hearing from the previews.
Warning sounds perfect.. the ballads.. i prefer Story than The Gift, but everything might change after i'm hearing the real thing. so still waiting for the album to come out first. |
Loving Out of Control and Story the best so far, only Warning is not my thing and I'm not sure about Show must go on, the rest is good despite the low quality.
|
Warning and Show Must Go On really stand out to me~
|
I really want the special TA box set but I don't have any money. I wish I could put one on hold for when I do. >.<
|
The attitude that Warning has is amazing. From what I understand lyrically, it seems a bit Microphone-y. AT15 Warning will be incredible if she sticks it in the setlist.
I am... kind of praying that she rerecords Last minute with her band. |
Quote:
"I found the demo of sweet scar!" No, Ayu, this is a new song. "But it sounds like walk, I sang it recently didn't I?" No, Ayu, this is a new song. "BUT LOOK, isn't this pray?" No, Ayu, this is a new song. "I still think it's beloved." |
The Gift is probably better in full.
|
I thought this site was defunct? Oh well, here I am!
And does anyone think the first couple notes of no future sound like Trauma? Previews sound okay, better than Colors and whatever the album was before that. Love songs was the last good album for me, so I hope home girl brings it back (though the Zutto single is good). |
Colours is really good imo. It shows 'another side' of Ayu, but albums like Love songs and now A ONE are more in line with everything Ayu did from ASFXX to about Secret.
|
so how many PVs are we getting? Zutto, Last Minute, The Gift probably and something else? or just the 3?
|
Quote:
|
^^ We're getting Zutto..., Last Minute (picture she posted with her red nails), The gift with JJ and another one with the picture of 60 people dressed in bdsm-like costumes and the rock band!
|
I ended up listening to the other previews!! Ughhh LOL Anyway, i fell inlove with Story!! That's Ayu in your face type of song IMO!!
|
I listened to the previews again as well with headphones just to hear it a bit better and I'm really excited for Story myself. I'm really liking those sparkly sounds and bells going on (Don't know how else to describe it lol).
|
Story is beautiful. I've been so sick of her ballads lately but that one is the kind of Ayu ballad that I love and will never get tired of <3

That is true. Both seem like they fit that PV's image...
|
I read on Twitter that Ayu said at the event that Show must go on is apparently the "theme song" for the upcoming tour.
I still think the PV is probably for Warning tho. |
I can barely hear anything from the preview. How can people already judge the album quality by these crap quality????!
