EndOfTheWorld 21st August 2016 11:10 PM

So overwhelming!:dead2
Everything looks so amazing. The stage, the dancers, Ayu.:heart
She looked like a goddess performing Endless Sorrow.:angel

holy_arrow 22nd August 2016 02:18 AM

OMG, I cried while I was listening to " You are the only one", "Mad World" and " Endless sorrow".
So touching with her efforts.
The tour is amazing and very "Japan".
Got 10/10

AyuGAME 22nd August 2016 04:50 AM

Wow..she sounded good...
especially on Survivor

^ Thanks!

EndOfTheWorld 22nd August 2016 05:30 AM

It is the same person who uploaded Countdown Live 2015-2016.
They are awesome for this. So quickly too.:thumbsup
I am currently downloading the video. It's about 1.90GB.

wow! and that video is still there LOL. Hopefully this one will last too since it will probably get a release unlike MADE IN TOKYO

truehappiness 22nd August 2016 05:52 AM

I think MADE IN TOKYO will come with MADE IN JAPAN.

EndOfTheWorld 22nd August 2016 06:19 AM

I am also surprised that Avex has not sent out a copyright attack for those videos.:laugh
Japan seems to be so strict about their music on youtube.
It would be cool if Made In Tokyo and Made In Japan came bundled together, as long as it isn't expensive.:dead2
Or just release them separately but very close together.
But I really am not in a big rush to own Made In Tokyo.:dumbfound

pheonixflame15 22nd August 2016 12:36 PM

Oh my God her voice is much better than recent performances

Heavenly 22nd August 2016 12:50 PM

This concert is quite good itself, but not "very Japan".
Watching it, I really wondered why "MADE IN JAPAN".
And I begin to hate Timmy how Ayu dresses him.... He's like the "Gay-pride element" of Ayu's team... I just can't stand how flamboyant and out of place he tends to appear tour after tour... (It's not an homophobic comment, i'm gay myself, but gay doesn't mean flamboyant, nor girlish to me. At all.) I'd rather prefer a more gothic-like look, like in PoM.

Aderianu 22nd August 2016 01:40 PM

I adore BRILLANTE, but this performance was a bit boring for me

Don't know why I cried so many times during this show... it's so emotional and touching and cool

It's disabled for Japan, maybe that's why they haven't noticed yet lol :rolleyes

I think that's actually the reason why they're not available in Japan: avex notices, but instead of blocking it altogether they just make it unavailable in Japan :D

I have similar feelings about Timmy. I sometimes feel annoyed.
It's not that I hate him or anything but. I don't get why he is there. When he is on stage he is more like a gay prop or accessory. He should be more in the background with everyone else, Ayu is the star. I wish he was dressed more conservative. He shows more skin than anyone else!

To be fair, Ayu is the one who wants him to act and dress like that. He already stated that she males him wear that stuff and on the pics he posts at fb and so on he looks pretty normal. So I don't think that is his style at all.
I like him and he seems like a really nice person. But I don't like how Ayu is the one who makes him look rather silly on stage. I don't know, since Hotel Love songs it seems to me as if Ayu wants to "create" her own Perez Hilton with Timmy and that she watched too many times Britney's Onyx Hotel Tour, since Timmy is acting a lot like Perez Hilton on that tour.

pommy48 22nd August 2016 09:17 PM

That was a really great tour! She looked beautiful!
I just didn't like how she sat there for FLOWER. It's such an explosive song, so it's a shame that not much happened for it.
But oh god Timmy. I'm sure he's a nice guy and all, but I just get more and more annoyed by him on stage.

CeReSu 22nd August 2016 10:25 PM

Awesome show, I'm happy and surprised by Ayu's vocals. I know it was edited but damn. You are the only one was perfect. Such an amazing performance ♥♥♥
evolution was great at the beginning too!
I loved mad world and endless sorrow very much, so emotional and sincere!

I'm just disappointed with FLOWER and Survivor. FLOWER because she sat and sing for a song who is explosive as pommy said. Same for Survivor, I was expecting something more colorful, more energic, but Ayu sat again (fortunately not for the entire song).

stepYOU1234 23rd August 2016 12:39 AM

I'm about half way through but I am surprised to say that I love Ayu's growl singing in FLOWER and INSPIRE.
I kind of miss the stages with more levels. This one seemed a bit flat..?
The water swimming effect with the aerial dancers in the interlude was pretty cool.
I know Ayu chooses Timmy's look but I bet he'd look really good in a formal suit or even a tux.

Refix 23rd August 2016 12:41 AM

I like that monkey guy, he's hot af lol
And the band costume is tacky, they were like a suit for marching band or so. Princess and Timmy looks more like they were plug out from street carnival. I don't get this concert concept. Japanese American fusion or so??
Could this broadcast also the one avex use for BD and DVD? If yes, I'll be disappointed.

truehappiness 23rd August 2016 01:03 AM

Usually there are more angles to the physical release.

indigochild 23rd August 2016 05:46 AM

Am I the only one who was underwhelmed? Watching the entire concert felt ..."cheap".Maybe because I'm so used to her more elaborate tours especially after Cirque de Minuit. I feel like this is a concert I would have appreciated watching live. Anyways, I liked her voice at least and I did like the ever free performance.

koumori 23rd August 2016 06:01 AM

Watching the concert now - her voice is amazing. Wow.

errikkutrancex 23rd August 2016 11:17 AM

Very good performance : "Brillante" is really really good !!!!

I don't think nothing can top her Cirque De Minuit tour. That tour was perfect from start to beginning...

js_surrealism 23rd August 2016 12:55 PM

cirque de minuit was mostly theatrics, the MIJ tour does look a little cheap visually, but she more than made up for it with her vocal performance and lack of shitty song arrangements.

Ryusei 23rd August 2016 04:08 PM

Thank god her voice sounds good, I was expecting nothing at all after that news clip from a-nation and the CDL so I'm glad she sounds this good

Kilyk 23rd August 2016 04:22 PM

I watched it last night. So amazing.

BRILLANTE
Mad World
Endless sorrow

Definitely the best! So amazing.

I think this your had a smaller budget since there was less dates and the precious tour was really big. the numbers were just as good, but the production was smaller.

Vogue was amazing, but i found that Your are the only one was the most boring ending she ever did. (If we consider that there wasn't 3 encore on the TV version.

freedreamer 24th August 2016 08:13 AM

I was at the Osaka Final (I know this is Tokyo) and honestly her vocals for FLOWER and You are the only one were already very much perfect. BRILLANTE was a bit shouty in Osaka not sure about Tokyo but i believe it could have been adjusted but on most parts she was really really good already

stepYOU1234 24th August 2016 11:25 AM

Better than I was expecting but it felt more like a really good CDL. Not keen on the flat stage design.
I was impressed by her voice in FLOWER though.

JEWELian 25th August 2016 04:27 AM

They did a fantastic job with the audio editing and mixing for this release - which is highly unusual for ayu!

They edited her voice fantastically and I love how all the new songs sound live. Hoping they pair a live album with the video release.

jimmer10 26th August 2016 04:04 AM

I'm sorry to see they allowed cell phones to take video for the first half of the show. So annoying. And for some reason they emphasized it with close-ups of people's cell phones during the show. The pro cameramen should spend their time filming the concert not filming people in the audience filming the concert with their phones. Very odd.

douggn 27th August 2016 03:40 PM

Made a quick little digest if anyone's interested
https://youtu.be/aNriMjpWqTQ
Missed 1 or 2 songs but meh :P

One with mad world in it and a sakura flower effect to it. Can't believe I passed mad world in the first one :P

This lol Why would you film people taking pictures/filming? Maybe it's so unusual in Japan that they felt the need to point it out, but still.

^ Thanks for the digest!

EndOfTheWorld 27th August 2016 08:42 PM

I think they showed fans recording because it was a new thing. They wanted to show that fans being allowed to take pictures was part of the show.
I thought it was nice to see people excited for Ayu and wanting something to remember.
It's not like they spent a lot of time showing the crowd, as if we missed anything on stage. They were only allowed photos during certain times anyway.

Evolution7/4 27th August 2016 09:34 PM

Yeah kind of like a way to fetishize western culture in Japan. Like how it seems "cool" because its a western thing

pommy48 27th August 2016 09:58 PM

I thought allowing people to film it was a cool idea. It would be good promotion since people would post it all over social media.

truehappiness 27th August 2016 11:01 PM

I think it's just that during filming for this at least, they showed a lot of people just snapping pics/video with their phones. It was a bit off putting. Like they'd literally be zooming in on the screens of the phones or zooming in on people taking their phones out.

The BRILLANTE section is probably one of the best she's had in a loooong time.

Chris85 28th August 2016 04:48 AM

Omg, it's not smth to complain about. Audience is a part of the show too. Try watching Mylene Farmer's concerts - they are showing audience 40% of the time.

truehappiness 28th August 2016 06:01 AM

Oh, I never have an issue with that normally, but zooming in on the screens and back covers of the phones themselves was a bit strange to me.

Chris85 28th August 2016 10:19 AM

Otherwise people who missed this tour and didn't follow news wouldn't even know that partial photo taking was allowed, it makes sense that they emphasize that, especially since it was the very first time in her career.

truehappiness 28th August 2016 12:33 PM

Oh, I thought they made it very obvious with the red flashing text before some songs, lol.

Yep, it's not a Mylene Farmer concert if it doesn't cut to crying fans all the time!

douggn 31st August 2016 12:36 AM

Seeing this fully now, I have to say photos never do her tour justice, like you have to watch it to get its full feel. I acually didnt mine the lack of traditional japanese feel. I like the into to the tour, i guess ot would of been better for the front people, as i think i was meant to feel like you were falling with it. The giant stair case reminds me of those old like 1950/1960ish stage preformances but at the same time, it felt modern. And i love how she brings tese new technologies to her show, with the projection thing used this tour.
Brillante would have to be my fav preformace, she reminded me of one of those ballet music box dancers. Very elegant and airy.
Sounds like she has been working hard with endless sorrow too, i think this is one of my most fav endless sorrows live now
