The MV is amazing !!! Thanks to it the song has grown so much on me !!!
But AIIYL is better IMO. |
This needs to be bumped...any latest?
BLACKPINK has been invited to Coachella for 2019; they're the first-ever female K-pop group to be invited to Coachella! (Perfume also gets invited for this same Coachella; they are the first female J-pop group to do so as well.) |
That's good. Honestly, all the latest news are just about JENNIE, and I'm a bit tired of her.

I am so late to this thread. |
Just saw Kill This Love on 4Music - can't believe I'm seeing KPop on UK TV!!
|
I think Kill This Love is an absolutely crappy song, I really don't like it at all
|
^not crappy, but i agree. 3 years and they have 13 songs by now and that is what they come up with? I also think the DKWTDWY is the better song.
|
I disagree, cause it's the first promo song from them in a while that I like.
They broke some youtube records with it, overtaking Ariana Grande. It even made headlines here in the mass media (just like BTS and the Seungri scandal). Which is the only reason why I know about it, haha. They definitely made it to a world act. |
Omg their new song keeps popping up as basically every single advert on YouTube. It's made me hate it!!! Before I just had no feelings at all about it, just not my kind of song... But now? Please go away!!
Does advertising like that work?? |
^^well, I give a fuck about these records (sorry, not offending towards you). BTS broke it again with a very lackluster song (Boy with Luv is so generic). It doesn't mean anything and has nothing to do with the quality of the music.
I don't dislike KTL and I'm glad people love it, but compared to their 4 debut songs everything after was just boring and loud. KTL EP is basically just a Copy&Paste of the DDDU-DDU EP. |
their set @ coachella was amazing.
|
It was very good yes!! at some point I thought they lost the energy but they gained it back to finish with a bang!.
I would to know what happened when Rosé told Jennie something and made a desperate face it was towards the end, was it like hurry up or something like that? oh and I love the kiss that almost happened! haha |

I love Kill This Love. That power is amazing. The bass is love. It's just so powerful and really evne throws me back to Namie's Hide & Seek |

It doesn't sound anything like H&S to me, maybe you are fooled by the horns. Jeannie is serving Namie looks in the last shot of the MV tho
|
I prefer Don't know what to do.

They announced Japan dates for their World Tour.
Quote:
Those dates are going to cover about 205k people. Tickets are 10,000 yen each, FC reservation starts 04/22. I really hope their 2nd weekend performance at Coachella is going to be streamed as well, couldn't catch the first one. |
both weeks are available to download @ JPS. if you don't have an account there tell me and I can give you a link to download/stream, if that's not against the rules? or you can contact me on twitter: twitter.com/hudvstheworld
|
Ah, thank you, snowo, but by now I've watched a rip done by a fansite.^^
|
|
Took me a couple of listens but I’m really digging how you like that
|
I really like it, I adore the ending with the rythm and the girls dancing, amazing <3
|
I really liked the song, but i think they're releasing the same hit again.
|
To me they seem stuck in their own formulae, song-wise and visually-wise. I thought the collab with Gaga might make YG try a different sound for them, but it doesn't seem to be the case. If at least they were releasing mini albums/b-sides with varied styles it could work, but since they have so few songs and almost all title tracks are similar, it feels like they have even less in their portfolio. I'm mad cause they're all so talented, and could be bringing more concepts to the scene but they're not. And I don't blame them, of course.
|
to me all their songs like DDD, KTL and the new one are the same. they have no melody and beat, they are very bland and boring.I don't get the hype at all, the girls don't mix together well on the stage too, they all look so cold together.
the stupid lyrics killed me. |
^yeah, you are right as they have the same sound but I think this new one is the best out oif them. And even if they are together for a few years now, they have very little experience and under just 20 songs (!). i think it is still okay to establish a certain sound for a band.
As for them together: they seem to get along very good, especially if you watch more laid-back stuff of them. I prefer BP in every aspect over 2NE1, even if I loved them. |
They are hilarious on a BLACKPINK 24/365. They actually have pretty good chemistry
|
It’s time to revive this thread you guys…they have officially made their comeback with their new single PINK VENOM and let me tell y’all
I. AM. GAGGED!! Like I already knew I was gonna like this since i’m a fan of their sound (despite people saying it’s repetitive and formulaic… i think it works!) But this just is something else! It’s catchy, powerful, everything u would expect from BP + more. Bonus because there was a Rihanna sample! |
I prefer Ready For Love. PINK VENOM doesn't stuck in my head. I love the style, visuals and aesthetic for the MV, but the song is just OK. The real comeback song is going to be a lot better. I'm sure.
|
Yeah this one doesn't hits as hard as other comeback songs. Plus i've read about the controversy of people realising (just now) that all of her songs have the same formula. I guess it showed more on this new song.
I saw a post where they want teddy out! and new people to make music for them. I didn't know it was teddy that explains it all. Muy guess is that the new songs are going to be better. |
I think Pink Venom is their weakest single to date, at least I'm glad for the global exposure they are getting for it

Pink Venom is miles better than DuDuu and KILL THIS LOVE tbqh
|
I hope YG will give Jisoo her solo before BLACKPINK ends...
So happy for LISA's MTV award, I hope she releases lots of music, her 2 songs were addictive |
