After such a long time I wanted to check out his newer stuff and I started listening to his album White. after the first three tracks I'm kinda dissaponted. The songs aren't bad but I'm used to hear his actual voice and not a distorted version of his voice. I used to be a huge fan og him and back I'm the day Í bought everyone release bitte I couldn't anymore and wan't able to check out his new releases as often. So the shock was real after I remember songs like Rainy Day Morning,Kimi ga Suki, Sakura and so on.

Good Life & Friday were released as singles prior to WHITE
The only WHITE album track I genuinely can say I like is Beautiful . I would also say Range Rover too , provided that it wasn't so short & the last part of the song kinda kill things for me :x I listen to Shota for more than 10 years . Back then I didn't like it that he focus more on rapping (1 of the reasons why I didn't want to listen to his debut album Umbrella) but Aishiteru & My Treasure were and are still some really good singles of him Since 2015 , Shota focus more on rapping & autotune and his most recent single I really like is Hanataba no Kawari ni Melody wo cos it showcase how good he's vocally The rest , definitely not which's a real shame Until Shota stopped overusing autotune , I would just go back & listen to his older albums which're still some of my favourites , like COLOURS & ENCORE |

It can very well be an artistic choice to get a certain sound. It's okay not to like it, but I feel overtime I come here someone is complaining about it. It's quite tiresome. Maybe just stop listening to him then and/or enjoy his older work? |
