Totally random but as a huge fan of Taylor Swift, am I the only who kind of sees parallels between Taylor Swift's career and Ayu's? Both were found by their producers or whatever in a music club. (Taylor at a music cafe. Ayu at some nightclub I believe). Both write their own lyrics. Both are known for their lyrics. Both had "scandalous" relationships. Both did pretty extreme genre change while still remaining successful (Taylor: country to pop. Ayu: pop to heavy rock). They both take care and attention into their music videos and have some underlying message in them.

I love ballads and the reason I've always stanned ayu was mostly bc of her ballads, I guess that's why I don't have any problem with her recent music

I think I'm one of these three people in the world (the other ones being Ayu and JJ Lin) who really likes The GIFT, specially her vocal interpretation approach. It's soft, mature and delicate.

The GIFT is okay but it definitely lacks something. JJ has much better songs so it feels like Ayu got a random thing laying around. Same goes for some Colours collaborations.

The GIFT is the only track from A ONE I ever skip, and not always I skip it. A ONE is a solid album for me and every track is unique even if their instrumentals weren't new into her career. But I do think she paid a lot of attention to the atmosphere of the songs and the feelings she wanted to convey. I just LOVE when music makes me feel stuff, and A ONE is full of that to me. Of course being catchy is also good for a pop song, but if I get no emotions from the song I'll grow over it soon. Be it boldness, power, love, devotion, loss, sadness, loneliness... I just love feeling stuff :P

The album disappears in nothingness for me. It's a bit too much the same for me. Except for NO FUTURE and The Show Must Go On of course, but I can't stand both songs. So much shrieking and yelling in both. God, please no. |

I think Walk is one of her most beautiful songs. I like how it progresses and we don't know exactly how the melody will turn out.
P.S.: I was listening to We are the QUEENS again after a while. I must admit this song may work a lot live, it's very energetic. What bothers me the most is this epic-sounding instrumental that sometimes seems off. It's like they pick some upbeat song from A ONE and glued some elements of Game of Thrones OST with Super Bonder. |

I was listening to We are the queens again too.
I love every second of it. I love the arrangement, her voice, and the lyrics especially. It's going to be difficult for any of the other songs on the new "album" to top it for me, but we'll see. |

WATQ fitted well for the game I quite like it but as the same time I think it don’t have a lot of replay value but that’s just me.
Concerning MOWY I like both! I like this kind of old R&b from Utada but I lust admit that Ayu gave to te song a second life. |

There're just a few songs I really enjoy: WARNING, NO FUTURE, Zutto..., TSMGO and Mowy The rest is boring and should burn in hell �� Especially THE Gift and that horrible Tell all remake! For TROUBLE: I looove WATQ and I just can't wait for the new rock track from her IG teaser �� |

unpopular opinion: Secret, Sweet Scar and Shape of Love are my holy trinity, love those songs so much! her voice is really gentle and nice, so are the guitars and melodies, I have a small playlist with those 3 tracks on my phone :laugh
