i borrowed a tape of "Spice World" from my cousin and a tape of "Spice" from a friend long time ago... i still like to listen to it sometimes, especially "Wannabe" and "Spice up your life".

This thread kind of saddens me...I used to love them SO much.(this was Before i was in kindergarten-about 1st grade) they were good, and the songs were to catchy.(just hearing the words "spice up your life" th song comes to mind) I have the movie, and almost all the barbie dolls. I haven't been thinking about them much lately though(ayu's turn)...It brings back so much memories though...:/

I just listened to their album now! Been stashed away in the basement, in a box for at least 6 years! found the movie, keychains, stickers, posters, books, magazines! this thread reunited me with them!

They were MY ULTIMATE FAV back in fifth grade. I had over 40 posters on the wall. When geri left, I started not liking them AS much. Now I still like them, just not obssessive like I use to be. :P

Me and my little sister were big fans of The Spice Girls back in the day...but now, well, I haven't heard any of their new stuff, so I can pretty much say I'm not a fan anymore. But I chose They're okay.

My friends and I in elementary school had a spice girls club. We would all be one of the spice girls. I was Sporty Spice although one of my friends got mad at me and told me I should be scary spice because my hair was sticking up. -.-

^So many of my female friends tell me they used to have Spice Girls clubs, too. One told me how her and 4 other girls pretended to be the Spice Girls, but they wouldn't let one of the girls be Posh because they hated her. They made her be their manager instead, :laugh

When the Spice "fever" started back in 1996, i was 6 years old, so i couldn't really be into them... But never liked them or any manufactured pop group from the late ninetees. I was into Celine Dion, Madonna and Mariah Carey at the time.

I remember there was a card on the inside that allowed you to vote for your favorite Spice Girl, then mail it in to the record company. I thought Victoria was so plain and boring that no one would vote for her and she would get kicked out of the group!

I never owned an album by them though. prob cause their stuff was only sold in europe and being an american and not having such a thing as ebay back in the 90s, well it was fairly new and nobody I knew ever heard of it yet. (and being around 7 not knowing anything about buying things over the computer) It made it difficult.

But maaannn. I remember owning "Spice World" on vhs and playing the crap out of it over and over. Loooooved that movie. :weep

Sporty Spice was my favorite, and still is to this day. I still follow Melanie C's solo career cause she is the only one who still has one. (New album supposedly being worked on while she plays Mum to her baby.) SO Excited I hope she does some dancey stuff again, but not give up her rock persona. Her last album was too tame for me but had some good songs.
