stardusties I think the site is not contradicting itself. I think those probably says "remember that ayu is going to release her second mini album? The secret is, it is not a mini album but her 8th full length album". It probably says something like that.

I don't think you guys are looking at the bigger picture. It's not that ayu will record a zillion of songs in 1 month. In this long hiatus for her to release new singles (there was no September and there won't be an novembver single) she was working on making the album instead. 1LOVE and JEWEL have probably been recorded way longer ago than we can imagine.

please ayu, don't add so much music only tracks. i hope it will be like my story >.<

she could have also been planning new songs since janruary in the first place, new songs just don't become singles right when they're made, sometimes they're saved for albums x3

It will happen. You see the price increases from around 3000 yen to 3900 yen on her official website. That means wherever you preordered it, you'll get an email regarding the price change. I just hope that cdjapan won't cancel my order and make me to redo the order again... I'm scared that I will lose that first press poster if they cancel my order... :cry

I don't think there will be any remixes...it will just be a normal full length album like my story, (miss) understood.

BTW, isn't the next issue of Vivi will have info about the new album? maybe it will reveal if this whole mini album--> full length album was planned or not.

If they do, it'll be quite stupid. How on earth would they reveal the plan... Although it's quite obvious that it's a strategy to most people, revealing the plan telling people that "yes we lied. It's supposed be a full length but we fake the news to attract more people blah blah" is a really bad idea. Some people may feel cheated and may decide to against this new album. I really hope they'll not do something like that in the next Vivi issue...

Thanks for this, everything I wished for coming true, avex sure knows what they're doing this year, their marketing has been excellent even though their choices has seemed weird at first.

I wonder if Ayu actually said that she wanted to release a mini album, because she didn't feel she had enough material to work with or enough quality songs, or if all of it was just to fool us and create a fan uproar for publicity, hehe.

Sorry, I didn't see this before my other post, but I order from YesAsia all the time, and often times I pre-order a CD before they raise the price--and they like to raise prices very often. I always pay the price I pre-ordered it at though. Who knows what will happen though since this is a total change of content. :rolleyes

This is just crazy, the thoughts keep on coming... so many new songs, and the overflow of new videos.

I'm going crazy over the actual fact that she only released two singles, we will have so much new material ... ugh... basically what everyone has written already, but hey... it's TRUE.

hmmn... even if she didn't feel like it, i dun think the discussion between ayu and avex was made this month. So I guess this is another issue. Whether or not ayu want this as a mini-album should be occurred in the early September (eye injury period). Then I guess recording lots of songs during that month has made the plan changed. So I assume before they revealed the news about mini-album, they've already decided the next album will be a full-length studio album. It's just that "well why not we spread the first plan to attract more people?". I assume this is quite successful then. With lots of people getting disappointed about the mini-album issue (I'm not sure about whether the Japanese get disappointed tho), they revealed the real plan so now everyone's happy. :P.

Anyone that thinks that they just decided to make it a full album and have her record that many new tracks is delusional. Clearly it was a ploy/secret/joke/trick whatever....I like that kind of surprise secret! And it definitely will be real new songs,not interludes....it's like people want it to be bad,they can't accept that it was a secret and now they announced their true plan and we will get a full album.

I do not think it can be against the law, because I'm pretty sure that most countries allow pages to reserve the right to make changes for pre-ordered items. It's in their policy, too, so if you pre-order an item that says "with reservation for changes", you accept the consequences that things like this might happen.

Whenever you pre-order they always warn that the product might be subject to change. There's nothing wrong with that. When you pre-order it's obvious that that thing hasn't been released yet so that release dates can be postponed, or even the actual product can be cancelled.

I see it as pretty likely that we will see CREA back now, especially as we have so many new unknown tracks to look forward to ... let's keep the hope up.

I hope my pre-order doesn't change because by ordering the mini early, I got a free poster added a day later. If I got a free poster and a full album for the original mini price, well, that would be just awesome. :) But if YesAsia decides to cancel the original orders I understand that; they were for a mini album, and now the product will be a full album with 14 DVD clips.

The prices have changed on Ayu's official site, if your orders aren't cancelled/changed already it's only a question of time.

They won't sell a full album at a mini albums price, but I'm quite sure you'll all be able to get your free poster regardless :).

ayaya is not a threat at all.. her last cd (best album) sold around 60K only on the first week.. and her last studio album x3 was a bomb.. only around 30K on the first week (considering the music industry wasn't as bad as now is). I dunno who Nami Tamaki is.. is she really a threat at all? @@

I doubt. I think it was already going to be a full album but since ayumi named it "Secret" I guess either ayu or avex decided they would play a trick to the fans. It doesn't really sound like a sudden change of plans at all.

The only other option I see is that Ayu was dissatisfied with a lot of her work, and decided to put it behind her without releasing it and doing a mini album instead, but so much seem unlikely around that theory so... yeah, Secret really had a secret.

I hope they diden't suddenly decide to add a lot of "crappy" tracks that weren't supposed to be on the album.

I seriously think avex has some internal communication issues.

She's probably gonna rename it to "Gottcha!".

Not only am I still in shock, but that's 10 new tracks with our occasional interludes. I still stick with Born To Be... opening the album though.

All we have left is to hope Secret won't have 3 or 4 instrumental/interlude tracks... It would also be nice if she skipped Born to Be... and Beautiful Fighters.

I'd love to see BTB on there, but skipping BF is fine by me, haha.

I like instrumentals, gives the album a certain feel, her albums wouldn't be the same without them. I hope there'll be two.

i was in shock also lol. But there are alot of songs that Ayumi has recorded over the years that are unreleased each song tells a story so it might blend in with "Secret" i think these are unused songs put together and redone i hope this album is gonna be good. A mini album would just cheat the fans..

I'm pretty happy about this, but I hope that the tracks will be all new original songs (with of course interludes) and that the songs don't suck. I have a feeling that this will be a very poppy album, but we'll see.
