yeah well its a translation of their russian song they translated it so poorly im sure they couldve translated it better without the lyrics being really lame they sound like a kid wrote it lol it seems like they just made sure the lines fit in the music not caring what it said

as for the whole "that translation sucks" complaint -- you need to keep in mind that the english lyrics need to flow with the music. the last thing i want to hear is poor lean/yulia trying to rush through a perfect translation. Besides, it gives each song it's own meaning and feel -- just look at obez'yanka-nol and Null & Void -- same music, but two different songs meaning-wise. Personally, i like the english translation -- i think they leave the translation vague so you can interpret the song in your own way.

I've got one of their Russian albums its name is 100 PO... or something in Russian of course. I love it. Espeicially remix of 30 minit... :luv2 I bought it from Estonia.

^ here you go. I've included both the English and Russian versions of the remix, neither of which were ever officially released in the US as far as I know. the English version is on the Australian "How Soon Is Now?" single and the Russian version is on the re-issue of their first Russian album.

It's not a direct translation. It's completely new lyrics with a similar theme -w-;; If it would have been a translation, the lyrics would match up, but the english ones are new and wrote for that version of the song. Not a translation at all.

then they shouldve found a better lyricist, the lyrics sound kind of cheezy. thats just my opinion though not trying to piss anyone off anyways i already bought the russian single of it i cant wait to get mines signed too! yay :D

Hahaha, they should have. The lyrics are really poor on the english albums. I think they split up the lyrics into just phrases instead of having a sentence that runs two or three lines. I think that was the problem with their last album too.

Hmmmm. The release dates have been pushed back almost half a year now. I shan't get my hopes up.
I'm still wondering what will be on the Hyperion Plate. The uncensored video was said to be so I'm hoping it's audio one side and DVD the other. I pre-ordered last month before the first 1000 had sold so I hope to get the signed and numbered copies :D

I also find it odd that BP video is half a year old yet the singles yet to be released. I think it was bad planning on the management side.

i think i'm just going to ignore the release dates -- that way i won't be continually disappointed, and when it eventually is released, i'll be pleasantly suprised!

however, i suspect that yulia's new baby is interfering with the release schedule -- i think they were initially planning to release the album before she gave birth (not that i'm against Yulia spending time with her new baby, its just an observation)

I agree. If anything they were worried about the track being leaked early so they decided to jump the boat and cause a bit of hype before the actual single came out.

220 is kind of weird. It does feel more like a b-side or something. Lena is hardly present on the song and while it's not a bad song it doesn't stand out against t.A.T.u.'s other songs.

Yeah! The song just sounds really droney and robotish with just Yulia too. I think if they had more life to the song it'd be better. The song feels way too flat? I don't know how to discribe it but it's kind of dissapointing to wait for a song for so long and not have it be a little better than good.

220 is OK. After BP and 220 I'm hoping the whole album is an evolution of 200 po Vstrechnoi's electronica. LI/D&M were lacking I think. Too rock and yet too pop. I couldn't work out the direction.
Tatu are still classed as Electronica and I'm hoping the new album will stay within the genre.

It's just taking too long now and the wait has become ... boring.

BP was only ever ment to be a promo/radio single to start getting some hype for the album. The fact that it was added to 220 (the first REAL single for the album) was kind of a bonus thing. The first single now is a AA, which adds a bit more hype for the single. I actually think it was a good idea.

The constant delays for the album/single has gotten very tiresome... but they really do have good reasons behind the delays. Plus, they are still in the recording studio working on the albums and re-mixing the songs and what not... so its not just like they are sitting on the album (like they did with D&M/LI). I'm really glad that they did push the album back, when it was going to be released in on December 25th, thats the day before Yulia had the baby... so there would have been no promo by them for the album.

With 220, I think what we heard was still kind of demoish (although I have no facts to back this up) and the album version will have some Lena on it. It seems really stupid to have the first single with only one of the girls lol. Back before BP went to radio, they released a demo mix of the song that had both of the girls singing the verses (which obviously isnt the case for the album version). I think the same is going on with 220. But like I said, I have nothing to back this up, lol.

I get what your saying but I still think the BP video was a bit premature. They should have had an idea when the album/single was to be released. It's been pushed back 3 times since the video came out and I still think that was bad management.

D&M leaked a month before the release. Valerie Polienko said it was a demo and was yet to be finished ... the final release was exactly like the leak. I think their biding for time and should just be honest instead of letting us (The fans) expect a release each month since December 07.

i read something over at a t.A.T.u. forum that they are planning on releasing UO in June, and the movie and WM a month or two after that.

Their style has shifted a bit since their debut --- perhaps you just favor their dance-pop style over the quasi-EBM/new wave style they're using now?

I became a fan before their first English album was released, so I obviously don't mind their old stuff, but their new direction makes me very, very happy. I can definitely see how some older fans could dislike it, though.

I much prefer Beliy (blahblah) to White Robe. Is it just me or is their accent really heavy in White Robe? Usually I don't notice it but I could barely understand what they were saying. =\

what does everyone think of the BP remixes? so far i'm loving the No Mercy Remix -- love the guitar in the beginning, gives the song such a desolate feeling... thats one of my favourite things about t.A.T.u. -- they make such kick-ass remixes!

I kind of wish there were some 220 remixes. I'm already burned out a bit on BP.

I think the Marsiano remix is my favorite. It reminds me of the Fly Dream remixes. It could be a little rougher though and not as soft. The No Mercy remix is also on the top for me.

I think their English is pretty rusty, actually. Lena was always a bit better than Yulia, but now they're both a bit mediocre...
