Im pretty much just waiting for anything good from Japan because the music I've heard lately has been really crummy. Alls I can see to look forward to is The Brilliant Green's new album. Utada has kind of dissapointed me this year, same with Hamasaki.

Yea...this year was sort of a bore.....I pissed off by all of the BEST release and stuff. Hikki stuff really didn't disappoint me this year. Kiss&Cry has given me faith that she'll have more R&B tracks on her upcoming Japanese album. I overdid it with Flavor of Life (both versions) and I don't listen to it as much now. The same goes for Namie's stuff too. I really overdid it with Baby Don't Cry! lol I really hadn't listened to any solo male artist...but then again I really don't listen to solo male artist! This was really big for boybands which I am happy for that! (Go! UVER and AKFG!)

"Do You" finally grew on me, I really like it! And where's HIKKI NEWS? :<

According to U.Blog and USEN, in commemoration of Utada entering her 10th year as a professional singer/songwriter in Japan, USEN will be giving away free Chaku-Uta copies of her debut single “Automatic” between 12/7 and 12/10.

Additionally, Utada’s ASIENCE Shampoo CM song “Stay Gold” will also begin Chaku-Uta downloads beginning on 12/7. It is said that a 45 second clip will be for sale. No word on when Chaku-Uta Full downloads will become available. An official announcement should be coming quite soon.

Yay! a new Japanese album!! But if they already finished it why should they wait years to release it? I hope it means it will be released on February or March tops XD.

Hikki isn't done with the album yet....she has like three more songs to do before its complete. She said that her last three songs for her albums are usually the hardest to complete.

I'm expecting the album to be released in March or April but looking at Hikki's albums release date, we might get the album in late March. As for Stay Gold, it's looking like it's going to be release digitally only!

Why yes it did, thank you! But wth? Is that all they're doing for her 10th anniversary? Come on, she not just some J-Pop idol, this is Utada Hikaru we're talking about! About the album, I'm feeling a late March-early April release with "Stay Gold" released a month before digitally like Shan said in February or something. I am so excited for this single. It seems promising. yay and it's another double a-side from Hikki. HEART STATION is such a luvly yet creative title. It's seems like no one has a title like that! Hmmmm.....I think HEART STATION is going to be an upbeat song while Stay Gold is what ballad-ish. Since the single is going to be released in late Feburary, then I'm expecting the album to be released in late March or early April. Yayyyy! I want to pre-order that album so bad.....adn BoA's too! I don't tend to get as excited about singles as most people. It's albums that really make me go crazy due to the insane amount of new songs compared to a single. Plus, I never buy singles unless I'm in Japan so albums are it for me. Therefore, I'm super excited that her new album will be coming out in the Spring, but even more excited about the English one. Only problem is, no one has any idea when that one will come out.

Yay! I'm happy that Hikki debuted #1 on the Chawhatchamacallit charts. This is such a reminice to her debut on the oricon charts with Automatic/Time Will Tell! :yes I see that Hikki luvs to break and make records like Ayu! Anyway, I was dreaming about how HEART STATION will sound...now instead of it sounding like traveling....it'll sound more urban...hmmm, like Sakura Drops mixed with play ball mixed with Wonder 'bout! lol It sounded more play ball-ish though!

So does anyone have an idea of how it might sound like?

Personally, I don't want another "travelling" and Japanese-language-wise, Hikki's never really gone into the deep end of pop so I would say upbeat with happy but beautiful lyrics. I really love the title HEART STATION and Stay Gold sounds amazig so hopefully, they'll be very different songs. If we have "Stay Gold" which sounds more soft then "HEART STATION" should be upbeat however I would love another song that sounds like Animato.

Good news everyone: the Flavor of Life and Beautiful World/Kiss & Cry singles have been added to the iTunes store. So now we can all contribute to giving Hikki even higher digital sales. I don't think I'll buy it though. There's just that temptation since we can just download the stuff online. CDs I will buy because I'm a collector, but I don't feel like I own music if I buy it digitally, ESPECIALLY with the iTunes store, which doesn't even give you MP3s (even though both singles are iTunes Plus).

I'd love it if Hikki's next Japanese album came with 2 CDs, one CD would have all the songs, including Flavor Of Life, Beautiful World, Kiss & Cry, HEART STATION and Stay Gold, while the other CD would have just one track - Boku wa Kuma. :D

You know what? Earlier today, I was thinking about HEART STATION's PV? I was thinking that Hikki was finally going to get down and sexy in the PV. It's raining and she has dancers in the back dancing while she's in front on the ground posing sexy at the came...and so on. Don't worry....I was experiencing a Hikki urge at the time<---I wanted to hear some old Hikki songs and I couldn't listen to them at the time!

Anyway, I listened to the shampoo CM with the Chinese lady once and I can't remember the song, but I remember that I liked it A LOT. God, Utada Hikaru just gets it right with EVERYTHING these days.

LOL! I watched her UU06 concert some weeks ago and I LUVED IT. I think choosing Hikari as the ending song to the concert was a great choice. Her worst performances were Keep Tryin' and Addicted to You. I like those to performances by Hikki's vocals were too shaky and it seem like she was out of breath. XD I understand though. Her best performances were Hikari, Colors, Final Distance, Traveling, and Be My Last. I felt that Hikki did a terrific job on putting emotion to her vocals and them wonderfully.

I haven't seen her other concerts but I tryin' to find them...damn youtube!

I got UNITED 06 2 months ago and honestly, the part I enjoyed the most was her sining songs from EXODUS

Beautiful World/Kiss&Cry charted at #151, selling 717 copies this week. It's total sales now stand at 228,716. It has now been confirmed by Oricon that it is the #20 single of 2007 in Japan.

Flavor of Life has sold 644,259 copies this year, placing #2 overall on the Oricon charts. Flavor of Life's downloading sales are totalled to be over 7.7 million+.

Stay Gold has done exceptionally well this week on the chaku charts. It debuted at #1, making Hikki the only artist ever to debut at #1. It has sold more than 150k in first week of availablity.

According to U.Blog and livedoors, the recent 4 day “free chaku-uta download campaign” of Utada’s debut single “Automatic” garnered over 500,000 downloads. The campaign, held between December 7th and 10th was in commemoration of Utada entering her 10th year as an artist in Japan. Hikki, her dad, and managers were all surprised that it sold that much in it's first week of free download.

According to U.Blog and itunes, Utada ranks in with 4 songs in the top 15, 2 of which make it into the top 3 most downloaded songs of 2007. “Flavor Of Life” comes in at #1, followed by “Beautiful World” at #3, “Flavor Of Life -Ballad Version-” at #9, and “Kiss & Cry” at #14. This is the 2nd year in a row that Utada has the best selling single on iTunes Japan (”Keep Tryin” was #1 in 2006).

According to U.blog, Sony’s Japanese PC download service MORA has released their download ranking for 2007, and unsurprisingly, Utada’s “Flavor Of Life” comes out on top. MORA is 2nd only to iTunes when it comes to PC downloads in Japan. GIGA, a chaku-uta service in Japan, has also released their 2007 yearly download ranking, and “Flavor Of Life” again takes #1.
