^ If the selection is anything like the selection that I saw on the day of the concert on June 22, then you'll have a great chance of finding great seats, really cheap.
Also... I forgot to put this here, but when I went to buy my tickets for the 6/22 concert, I went to Shibuya the day of the concert to buy them. I remember looking at the map here and going on the second street on the right of the fork at Shibuya 109... maybe I went on the WRONG second street, but the street that I thought was the second one didn't have the Yokohama Ticket shop. I ended up finding it, though. For anyone looking for the shop in Shibuya, right at the start of the street is a Baskin Robbins. It'll be about three shops down, but once you see all these posters for upcoming concerts, you'll know it's the right one. And I forgot about the ticket reseller shop in Harajuku ALSO being on the second floor of the building. My friend and I only went to shop on the first floor lol |
^ The second floor shop now only sells Idol goods (at least when I was there). So the first floor shop now IS the old second floor shop. :) That one more and more is specializing in idol group tickets though. The Shibuya and Ueno ticket shops are the best bet for Ayu tickets these days. And as Polka just mentioned there are tons for this tour and extremely cheap too, so you won't have a problem. Probably wouldn't even have a problem buying them the very day of the show for completely bottom of the basement prices (like 2,000 yen)

Hi!! I would like to know the advantages about getting the concerts tickets for CDL if I belong to Team Ayu. Could I get the tickets sooner and closer than people who don't belong to Team Ayu? (I have the possibility of becoming a member of Team Ayu since I have a friend living in Japan)

Hello!
I’m preparing for the trip to Japan that is scheduled for October and, considering that the most important thing to do while being there is going to Ayu’s concert at Yoyogi, I’m now on the quest of identifying and buying the tickets for the performances. Predictable enough, I’ve encountered a problem. I don’t really understand what the seating arrangement at the Yoyogi Gymnasium is. If you could help me with the following questions, I’ll be forever grateful. (i) In the picture below, where is the stage? Did I mark it correctly as being on the left? http://img154.imageshack.us/img154/416/stage.gif (ii) If I am correct and the stage is on the left, the better tickets for level 1 are those in the H, J and K sections, rather than the A, B and C ones? (contrary to the ground level situation, where is better to have an A, B or C ticket) (iii) Is it better to get an elevated position ticket that is closer to the stage (like H, J or K) rather than getting a C or D ticket on the ground level? (ideea got from the Reference Picture 1 in the 1st post of this thread, on the Price Examples and Seating References section) Subsidiary, I didn't find any thread for the October performances in Tokyo. Which other AHSers are going there? |
Hi Dan.C, sorry for the late reply, hope I'll be able to help you out anyway.
You are correct in that the elevated K block is the closest to the stage. If you have a K ticket, you will have the chance to be really close to Ayu at 1 or 2 points during the concert, when she runs to the edges of the stage (you can see this in the DVDs). However, you're watching the concert from a 170-180degree angle, which makes you miss out on most of the light show. In addition to that, K tickets are ridiculously expensive, on par with decent A block tickets. A C block ticket will be way cheaper, you'll see the concert head on and if you're in the middle of the C block you'll be pretty close to Ayu when she runs out to the central stage, if there is one. Try to get 1-3 row tickets in one of the middle C blocks. D block tickets are very far from the stage, you'll still see the light show and everything, but Ayu will be tiny. In my opinion, the best tickets possible to buy would be in the middle of the B block, as close to the center stage as possible. You'll see the concert from the angle it's mean to be seen and you'll also get scarily close to Ayu :). |
I also think that tickets in the stands anywhere between H and E is really good. You get a great view of the stage and you will have no one obstructing your view unless they are incredibly tall.
|
In response to (iii)... I saw AT09 from both C (fifth row, floor level) and J (second row, first upper level). With C, you have a GREAT VIEW of EVERYTHING. With J, you're right next to the end of the stage, but you can't see the middle screen, nor parts of the stage (both are actually vital during parts of the show). With either, you actually get a great view of Ayu, and even with J, you have a great view of either Peco and Yo-Chan or Princess and Enrique.
Both areas are quite expensive (the closer you are to any part of the stage means pricier tickets), but I will admit, I paid more for the J seats (15,000yen / $150) than the C seats (6,000yen / $60). But, that's because the C seats were bought the day of the concert haha. |
^ Those prices are actually both very cheap considering the proximity to the stage. :) You were even able to get the C tickets for under the original price.
|
Thank you for your answers.
At the moment I plan on going only at the 22nd of October performance, but depending on the circumstances it’s not excluded to attend at the 21st of October one as well. From what I understand it’s better to have a floor-level C ticket, and that’s what I’ll try to get. In addition to that, I have decided to buy the ticket(s) while in Tokyo, assuming that there’s enough time from my arrival on the 14th until the 21st or 22nd. But, even so, is there any risk to wait for the last days before the performance in order to buy the ticket(s)? Could they all be sold out at the reseller shops and not find anything? And, with respect to the reseller shops, could anyone point them on Google Maps, either in Shibuya or in Ueno, or in any other place? |
^ Since you are arriving on the 14th, you'll have plenty of time to get your ticket at the resale shops. There is no shortage of them. You can always check this website to see what tickets are currently in the store: http://www.yokohamaticket.co.jp/ticket/ticket-music.cgi
I believe the first post has the google map locations. |
Dōmo arigatō for the website SunshineSlayer!
Indeed, the first post has Google Earth links for the reseller shops, but they are only overviews of Shibuya and Ueno (they’re not pinpointing the shops). Even so, I found on the website you provided the addresses for the three reseller shops of which it presents their offers. Using these addresses and Google Maps, here are the precise locations of the reseller shops: Shinjuku Reseller Shop Name of the reseller Yokohama Ticket Service - Shinjuku South Exit (address: 東京都新宿区新宿4-2-9 < 4-2-9 Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo>, Phone: 03-3357-5584, Fax: 03-3357-5629) Ueno Reseller Shop Name of the reseller: Yokohama Ticket Service - Ueno Shop (address:東京都台東区上野4-9-5早田ビル <SODA Building 4-9-5 Ueno, Taito-ku, Tokyo>, Phone: (+81)03-5817-3860、Fax (+81)03-5817-3861) Shibuya Reseller Shop Name of the reseller: Yokohama Ticket Service Shibuya (address: 東京都渋谷区宇田川町26-3 - < 26-3 Udagawa-cho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo>, Phone: (+81)03-5459-2039、Fax: (+81)03-5459-2038) This will help me, and hopefully other people, a lot. |
^ Go for the Ueno and Shibuya ones. You are likely to get hopelessly lost in Shinjuku unless you are really great with kanji and Japanese addresses. :) btw, I don't know why but google maps seems to be off for the Shibuya location. Just go to where the baskin robins sign is on the map and you will find it right by it.
|
I been to all of them lately for acouple of times and actually the one in Shibuya is the best. They have the most tickets to choose from. They are still a bit expensive but the price will go down with time. I got my tickets for the both shows already cuz there where pretty good seatings I didnt want to miss.
Then there is also one in Harajuku. But I wouldnt go for that one. Its the most pricy and also have less good seats as Yokohama Ticket have. |
^ That shop used to be one of the best, but lately they have started focusing more on Idol groups it seems.
|
Yeah but when it comes to Ayu tickets its still the best one imo. They have tons of tickets while the other two have a couple.
When I bought for a-nation was Ueno the better one though. |
Yeah, the Harajuku shop had more than half the cases dedicated to Johnny's group... most were empty, actually. Even Ayu's case was pretty much empty and didn't have much of a selection.
When going to the Shibuya store (I agree, it is the best), the best way to look for it is to look for a Baskin Robins (pink ice cream store) right across from 109. I actually looked up directions here, and got a little bit lost, so I thought pointing out a key location would be helpful =) |

wow.... these are great! : ) one question though, just how hugely popular is ayumi's CDL? will it be a huge war in yahoo auction or celga over the ticket prices? and where is the CDL normally? yoyogi? dome?
|
^It's at Yoyogi as always. :)
And well, there is always a bit of a war over Ayu tickets. When I went to CDL07-08 I had a friend who bought my ticket though auction and it was pretty hard. I got a ticket closest to the stage but at the top (not the arena) for like 17'000 yen. Now I think its getting harder and harder with tickets. For the two last shows for AT09 the tickets prices where sky high at reseller shops and the auction tickets went away fast. But this is of course the best seats tickets. For someone who must not sit at the arena or close to the stage the prices is more human. XD |
^ Yeah, CDLs are much harder to get tickets than tours. Obviously since there are only 2 dates. :) I went to CDL 06/07 and to sit high in the stands it was around 18,000 yen per ticket.
|
wow... i saw CDL for sale now. just quick questions. how to advice me to buy the tickets. for one, what kind of tickets will i get from eplus? i of course would love a B3 ticket however, there are not thousands available. and if let's say i got a less than desirable tickets, is it possible to exchange it in one of the reseller shops in Tokyo? preferably shinjuku or shibuya. THANKS
|
Hey everyone.
I scanned through the whole thread and I hope I didn't miss something but I couldn't find the answer to the following question: is it possible to buy tickets for an Ayu concert at an reseller shop if you are under 18 years old? I am planning my trip to Japan right now and if Ayu is having a concert tour in 2010 / 2011 I would want to go so badly.. But I am not 18 years old yet and neither will I be in summer / fall 2010. I can fly to Tokyo, I found a good hotel where I can stay.. the only thing that will be a problem is to buy the tickets. I saw on this page http://www.gorakudoh.co.jp/ that they don't sell to underaged (if I read it right but I couldn't understand it fully). I would be very glad if someone could help me with this question, the answer may be totally obvious and I just didn't get it our maybe it was written here sometime before and I just overlooked it - if that's the case I am very sorry >.< Thanks in advance :) |
^ I really doubt they care about your age. Especially as a foreigner, they probably wouldn't even know how to bring up the subject with you. I've never been asked about my age when buying a ticket there and I look quite young.
|
This thread was EXTREMELY helpful. :D I'm planning a trip to Japan next year and I want to see Ayu while I'm there. That's actually WHY I'm planning a trip. And this thread gave me wonderful information.
Thanks! :) |

^ That is assuming of course that you are close to 18 and not like 12 years old. :)
|
^ When going on my trip I will be nearly 17 / turning 17 while I am in Tokyo so I hope everything will work out. >.<
|
^ I really doubt they will give you any trouble, if for no other reason that you are a foreigner and my experience with people at that shop is that their english is limited to the basics of helping people get tickets and they wouldn't want to get into a potentially difficult conversation. Also, if worse comes to worse I assume you will probably have some kind of adult with you on the trip that can go with you.
|
^ At the moment it's just planned that I am going with a friend but she is also 17, so won't be 18 at the time we arrive in Tokyo, that's why I asked in the first place..
That could really become a problem since neither my nor her parents would want to join us.. :( |
Don't worry about it, I do not think it be a problem :).
|
^ Thanks for that. The more people say it will be ok the more confident I get.
I hope everything will work out in the right way! Now I am just saving up money and waiting for concert dates.. :) Her talking about a long and big tour next year also gives me hope she might come near Europe.. but I guess this is just a dream of mine XD.. |
Oh I'm planning to go for her Arena tour D:
But I have no idea how much will it cost. Anyone have any idea how much it'll cost right now? Since the tutorial was made on 2006. I can somehow imagine but anyone know a better estimation. Right now I can estimate I'll spend around 2000-3000 bucks. |
Well, ticket-wise, how much are you willing to spend? And would you rather buy them in Japan or online? The cheapest my ticket has been was 6000yen (C Block, floor), and my most expensive one was 15,000 (J or K block, first upper level). But, I know some people who have spent well over 30,000yen (roughly 300) on a ticket. Those were people who bought theirs online, though. You can definitely find cheaper ones in reseller shops, even close to the concert date.
And trip-wise, how long are you staying in Japan? Where all in Japan do you plan on going? If you go outside of Tokyo / Kanagawa / Chiba, you'll have to look up rail tickets, but you may want to invest in a Rail Pass (again, depending on where you're going). Plus you have to factor in accommodation. (Hostels are normally the cheapest, but the guesthouse I stayed at, the YADOYA Guesthouse, was the cheapest in Tokyo.) |
Oh thanks I'll probably be in Japan for a week and I'll probably buy any tickets I could get although I won't buy the most expensive one...
|
^ $2,000 to $3,000 dollars is way too much for a ticket then. :) That would only be if you have to have front row center or something. Otherwise getting tickets for under $100 is not difficult at resale shops.
|
BanaCherry, I update this guide now and then, but I don't really have to update the prices since they more or less stay the same. There is also advice on how to calculate yourself what the trip will cost. The first step would be to figure out around which dates you want to go and check the flight ticket prices, once you have that it's easier to find out what the hostel and food will cost you in total.
I wish you all the best in planning your trip and I hope you'll make it :D |
wow, this is such a useful thread! i am going to japan this year in jun and am thinking of going for ayu's arena tour! however, i will only be there from the 4th to 14th jun hence can only make it for the Shizuoka stop. it was mentioned here that the ticket resellers in tokyo will generally carry the tickets for the tokyo area and since Shizuoka is not really near tokyo, i doubt they will have it.
So I tried the eplus.co.jp but i realized that a japanese address is needed so sign up! plus the credit card details, im not sure if they will accept a non-japanese address card.. any advise on this would be much much appreciated!! thanks in advance! |
I don't know how large Shizuoka is, but maybe try to locate a ticket reseller store there? Couldn't advice you on how to do that, though :/. Or hope for scalpers to be present at the arena.
Your best bet is probably using one of the auction services listed in the first post (you pay the service, and they will make the purchase from the auction page for you, at a cost). |
alright! i think i will just try to make the eplus.jp.co work for me.. since I just need a japanese address. maybe i can use the address of a hotel or something. they probably won't check or send anything there i hope! the only thing is the credit card billing address..
thanks anyway! =] |

^ Ya, I guess so too! Thanks anyway!

For those who want to see Ayu at the Yokohama Arena:
This seating map, which I made, is probably not 100% accurate (especially when it comes to the blocks around the lower half of the circle) but it should give people an idea which seats to choose, if the stage design is the same like in 2009 and previous years. I also scanned a part of my ticket and marked my seat in the seating map. Generally, I would recommend buying A2, A3, B2 or B3 tickets at the Yokohama Arena because you will be quite close to Ayu. Spoiler:
Searching for tickets on YJ!A: Last year I used those keywords to look for floor tickets at the Yokohama Arena: Quote:

Great post, I'll add the information :)

Has anyone tried finding tickets in resale shops outside of the Tokyo area? My friend and I were going to try to catch a concert in Osaka when we travel down there in a few days, but I wasn't sure if there was an abundance of resale shops there like there are here in Tokyo. Does anyone know the locations of some? (and if they still have tickets for Namie and Ayu?)
Also, although we got our tickets from Saitama, this was incredibly informative. I was afraid to get the tickets from a resale shop at the last minute because I like feeling prepared, but I was really surprised by the amount of decently-priced (for resale) tickets in stores days before the show. Edit: I found several by...Hommachi station? I think? I actually arrived via Sinsaibashi station and I just started walking down the endless shopping arcade until I reached some ticket counters at the end near Tower Records. One even had a really good floor seat but the girl in front of me got to it first. D: |
This is a really great thread as I'm planning to maybe catch Ayu countdown live tour.
Do anyone have any info on that? If the concert ends after 12am, how do you get back to the hotel if it's not nearby as taxi in Tokyo cost a lot ... |
^They end after 12am but the trains during the 31st always runs a bit longer then usual so it's okay. At least Yamamote line is still running so it's good if your hotel is nearby that line.

Two questions for the option of getting tickets via Internet and then printing them at a 7/11 can we choose our tickets or they give them randomly? And secondly for other arenas ( I'm going to go see her saitama concert) how do I know which tickets are floor seats and seating charts? Can someone help please
|
Since no one else has replied I'll do my best to answer some of your questions, though I've been inactive for so long that it might not be accurate.
If you order tickets to print on your own they should be random. There are seating charts of the different arenas floating around, each one of them has a different seating system so you'd have to find out what the different blocks are called. There's a guide to how to read your ticket in the first post, I'll re-quote it here: Quote:
|
Would anyone be able to make a tutorial about how to sign up and use www.eplus.co.jp. ? That'd be really awesome!!
|
Heading to Japan this July. I was wondering if anyone could help with reseller shop locations in Osaka? I remember reading somewhere on this forum of a few but can't seem to find where I saw it anymore >_<
|
Does anyone have a floor map of saitama arena?

So now I'm interested in getting a ticket before I get to Japan.
Which of the shopping service websites is the best? fdjp looks good but the commission is quite big. Will better (and cheaper) tickets come through the yahoo auction shopping sites instead? I'm looking to spend maybe 20,000 yen tops. Want to at least end up on the floor with a decent view. Is that a good budget or should I go higher? |
Is anyone going to visit Fukuoka concerts in August? I'm currently looking for a good hostel to stay.
|
Where in Harajuku/Shibuya/Ueno are these reseller shops? I'd like toget a ticket for one of the upcoming shows! =D
|
Is it possible to pay tickets at Resellershops in Tokyo like Yokohama-Ticket-Service with Creditcard or Cash only?
I wouldn`t like to have so much money with me. |
As expected they take only cash:D.
Thanks to this thread I got tickets for the concerts in Yoyogi very easily. I´ve bought my tickets at the shop in Shibuya. Very helpful peoples there. And they had a good range of tickets even on the days of the concerts. The shops in Shinjuku and Harajuku had only very few tickets. |

credits: http://www.maridari.com/2007/11/28/t...dori-harajuku/ Im assuming the reseller shop is up these stairs? |
Nope! The location changed. Up those stairs now is an idol goods store. The ticket store is still on the same street, first floor, not far from this building. You can't miss it.
|
I've decided to go to Tokyo in 2014 if Ayumi announces to perform at A-nation. Does A-nation usually sell out fast or is it easier to get a ticket for an Ayu concert?
|
Quote:
It doesn't matter whether it's Arena Tour, Countdown Live or a-nation, you can always get your ticket if you have strong desire and determination. |
^ Thank you for your reply. :) I couldn't find any information on whether or not a-nation tickets can also be bought at reseller-shops, so this helped me a lot. :D
|
I'm going to start getting my tickets soon for the 2014 tour via yahoo auctions, so, if anyone else is looking to get tickets let me know. I can bid on auctions for you. :) Just PM me.

I have a quick question regarding purchasing concert tickets. It mainly regards getting Ayu tickets but I hope that it can apply for any artist (i.e. Angela Aki)
So I'll be in japan starting July 3, arriving at haneda, getting to the hotel and all that snazz. I was repeatedly told that you can buy concert tickets at convenience stores anywhere in japan. Is this true? Can I just waltz in and buy a ticket for one of ayu's early July shows? How do I even buy tickets at a convenience store? Edit: I was watching a youtube video and I saw that I have to enter my name and cell number. The thing is that the name entry was all in hiragana and the cell phone was a japanese number. What happens here for someone like me? Thank you for the help in advance :) |
Just want to bring this thread to everyone's attention (even if it's easy to find as it's stickied) because I think the original post is a really awesome read!
|
It's going to be a while until us tourists can travel back to Japan on our own though (not as a tour group where it stands right now).
|
I haven't been keeping up with travel restrictions (I was cheated out of trip to Beijing and Tokyo in 2020 and 2021 respectively, it still hurts) but that's a shame.
The original post is a great read for its sense of adventure though, is what I meant :) |
