Mirror rocked. Mirrorcle World is going to take that to the next level, and have a PV.
We don't know much about Life. But we're getting a new song that Ayu has described as very meaningful to her, and that is wonderful. There are a lot of "great" songs that don't get PVs, so this does not say anything at all about the song.

YOU and Depend on you are classics, and they're going to get a complete "makeover" with new vocals and instrumentals, and probably an entirely different sound altogether. When I think about how much her voice has evolved they're pretty much going to be like new songs. :yes

I think it's a little selfish of anyone to expect more than this. This is amazing of her to do. She's already surprised us so much this year and it's so apparent she's working hard to show her fans she's still determined.

Yesterday i replied somewhere that Mirrocle World is unlikely to be included in the setlist of ASIA TOUR 2008 unless news about it being a new single comes out the next day (today) and it did!!!

I am also happy about Life and the anniversary versions of YOU and Depend on you cos they are classics but i like the latter better.

And since this single is SPECIALLY for ayu's 10th anniversary, i gonna buy ALL versions!! :D

The single will release in a little more than a month. They still have covers and promotion to work out. A PV would've been crazy.

I don't get it... I'm rather disappointed. Only YOU and Depend on you get remixes, and the only real new song is Life? And it doesn't even have a PV? yay.. I also don't get the track list going on about Panasonic and random stuff on the track list? IMO, if she were to remix songs, do ones that NEED it. YOU has been remixed already for A BALLADS, and Depend on you is fine without a remix. poker face could have used a remix BADLY. And it would have been way more awesome, because then maybe the song would actually be listenable for me. Or from your letter. Or POWDER SNOW.

And actually, yes, I do think there would have been enough time to get the PV done. Kelly Clarkson recorded the PV for "Never Again" in 2 days, and it has this complicated storyline thing going on with a lot of different shoots and backgrounds and special effects.

When I read the top of the first post, I was first like "omg 4 new songs AND remixes on ONE single? I am SO buying this!". Then I read that there was 1 new song, 1 long interlude and 2 remixes. T_T *shoots avex* Haven't they learned anything from GUILTY's low sales?

IMO, if you want to listen to YOU with Ayu's mature voice get A BALLADS. XD They had better make the remixes dam good.~!

Yay, this is exciting!! I also would've preferred that she remade poker face or some other ASFXX track, but I'm not complaining. And only a little more than a month away!

All I can say is AWESOME! I'm definitely pre-ordering all four when they're available for pre-order.

1) This is the first time ever she's releasing on a tuesday instead of a wednesday. How will that affect the first week's sales for oricon. Will the first day be week1; and the rest of the days week2; or will Ayu have an extra day in comparison to the wednesday-releases?
2) What IS the competition on that week. If i recall correctly; 4/9 was the worst date for a single 'cos Ayu wouldn't get #1 that easily.
3) Damn. YOU and Depend on You.. is that smart? those songs were good from the very start. Sure it's nice to have new vocals; but YOU was already rerecorded in A BALLADS... maybe fans would want lesser known songs (powder snow?) to be rerecorded. Plus that if for instance, powder snow got an instrumental; it'd be cooler than these instrumentals. There already are instrumentals of YOU and Depend on You..

hmm.. I dunno.. And then Life and Mirrorcle World. MW is the main song of the single, although Life is the only new song. So basically the new song gets no PV while the old/remade song gets a PV... isn't that... weird?
And multiple versions! Could that boost sales?

second hmm.. Will this be a sales-hit; or will it be a sales-flop? Could go either way. In my opinion. It seems like it's only half a single, but they just covered that up with extra's.

I really don't care that she's put those two remixes on there and only one new song,
Ayu's always put together great singles and I think it's the same with this one.
Ayu's been working her ass off lately, so I feel she deserves some rest, with the tour coming up and all,
plus all of the stuff she may do after that.
Maybe Ayu has spoilt some of us with all the previous singles she released,
but I for one am still glad she is still releasing stuff and am hoping that she isn't retiring anytime soon
and that this wouldn't be her last single.

Well I'm thinking of getting at least 2 versions of this one, I want both remakes!

I don't know what to think. I'm happy, but slightly disappointed...

I like the fact that she included new versions of "YOU" and "Depend on you" which I can't wait to hear. I wonder why she didn't pick "poker face" though... And I also like the fact that she decided to release her single on the 8th because it's her anniversary date!

I don't really like the fact that "Mirrorcle World" is the main track though. I think it's a bad decision... Oh well. I hope it's really good then!

Wow I am actually excited about this, I love Depend on You is one of my favorites. I just feel really bad for my wallet because I will be getting the four versions and that will come out to probably close to $70 :thud I am kinda dissapointed that Mirrorcle World is the lead single in this, I was hoping she would record two new songs or that at least Life would be the lead-in, but I can't complain too much. Ayu never dissapoints and I am sure she won't dissapoint this time :love

I'm pumped for this release. I was so excited to hear that new versions of two of her earliest songs were going to be recorded for this single! I, too, can't quite understand why she didn't choose poker face, considering this is the anniversary of her first single, and YOU was already remade beautifully in 2002. But I'm just thrilled to hear how they'll sound. It's always interesting to hear how something would sound if it was a part of a different era.

I'm also looking forward to Life, and I'm actually glad it won't have a PV. At this point, it would be so rushed and probably on such a limited budget from all the other current expenses (2007 tour DVD, 2008 tour, 2 remix albums, 10 remix vinyls, Mirrorcle World PV shot on location in Paris, Mirrorcle World single in 4 types), that it would end up looking as bad as the (don't) Leave Me Alone PV.

I didn't realize until now how much we have to look forward to this Spring!

Thanks so much for the update! Yeah, like many others I think rerecording poker face would have been much better, but perhaps Ayu decided against it because her grandmother passed away while she was recording it in the studio ten years ago.
