^ HMV works veeeery slow
two days after release and status have no changes. Two days i've "Ready" in my order :bsigh |
^^ well ask them! For me it happened because my bank dec;lined authorization because of limit. I'm now solving the problem. Though they sent A Complete to me at it's release date and CDL07-08.
They asked authorization for money on 23rd, but bank declined and they're just slow to ask reenter card information^^ |
^ I did it and they tell me "We will ship your order in short time. Thank you for patience"
It was 4 days ago 1 week after release and they can't to ship new album *sarcastic:laugh |
I ordered Utada's This is the One and Kuu's Trick CD+2DVD from HMV HK on Thursday last week. As TITO came out the next day in HK, it was shipped Friday and arrived Tuesday afternoon.
The shipping is really fast IMO. My only issue is that Trick's case got a crack in it. It was pretty well packaged but the edge where it was wrapped in cardboard has a crack running up it. So sad :( |
Quote:
other than that , yes HMV HK's great . Told you that they're good , fast & efficient :P |
I think I will do that. (I was going to email CDJ when my Best Fiction poster was crumpled but I kept forgetting to :P) But now I have a debit VISA I'm going to get more cheap OS presses of stuff :D
I'm really thrilled with the speed of delivery. The damage may have happened once it reached Australia lol |
Quote:
I have used HMV HK many times & yes they're awesome If I were to order something from HMV HK , it takes about 4-5 working days which's fast & outta the many times that I ordered items from there , only 1 item arrived which had a crack case which was KinKi Kids's Secret Code I replaced it with another CD casing so it's fine but yeah next time if you want to order OS presses , use HMV HK :D |
Ok, I have a question about online shopping:
Are there other online stores besides YesAsia that sells OS versions (Taiwan press / HK press, etc.) of J-pop CD's? I've always wondered. And if so, what are the names, and also, provide me with links to their sites, thanks. :) |
Quote:
I used them quite a lot of times & they're awesome , it beats YesAsia on every single aspect . I get my items within 4-5 days the downside's that they only accept credit card as payment & they wouldn't really say if they're selling OS/Japan press but you can guess based on the prices & also the catalogue no.s too I used to use HMV HK a LOT , I still do but not as often as before because now I have direct contacts with someone who's living in Taiwan & I always buy OS presses from him nowadays if I can't find what I'm looking for in S'pore I heard that Play Asia also sells OS presses too but I'm not sure on that because I don't use their services |
If rookies has a VISA Debit card they'll accept that too :)
VISA Debit works just like a credit card in that you can use it for online purchases but it draws on funds already in the balance, so you're more in control of what you spend. Also, depending on where you live, you can use Avex Taiwan, which sells the TW presses of its releases. The downside is that you have to be in Taiwan to order. Play-Asia also sells music including J-Pop. They don't stock MANY OS versions, but you will find some on there. Most of the bigger artists always have OS presses there too :) |
Quote:
|
Aah, I didn't know MasterCard had a debit version too :) I'm sure more and more people will be taking up debit cards in the near future, it's really easy to set up and mine didn't need a credit reference or anything because I'm spending my own money.
Here in Aus you can get a debit card at 16, making it a lot easier than using your parents credit cards :P |
Quote:
& yes I agree with you , with a debit card you can check & keep tab on how much you spend unlike a credit card & you have to be 17 & above to apply for the MasterCard Debit if I'm given a credit card , man that will be terrible , I will never know how much I spend at all :dead2 |
I hear that! I really need to have more self control, I'm bad enough as it is without getting credit! xD I'll probably be like one of those girls you see on TV buying $3k handbags because she has credit and doesn't realise you have to pay it back later! x_X
|
Quote:
at least with a debit card , we can keep our spending occasions on check mode . With a credit card , there's no telling at all @_@ especially if you do a LOT of window shopping online like me |
Quote:
Quote:
I don't live in Taiwan, so I can't use that site, but I appreciate the info you provided. :) |
CDJapan has reduced their shipping prices. With the examples given it seems to only make a different if you are ordering a lot of CD's.....
http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/offers/CDJa...g_charges.html Still using HMV JP and YA :innocent |
Quote:
You start with a balance of $0 and you have to add funds to spend, unlike a Credit Card, which gives you money to spend, paid back with interest (about 10%). With a Debit Card you can easily control your spending, because the only funds you spend from it are funds you have added to the balance! Here's some links to some Debit cards :) I don't know where you're from so I've tried to go as global as possible :D http://www.visa-asia.com/ap/au/index.shtml - VISA Asia site http://usa.visa.com/personal/cards/debit/ - VISA Debit cards USA http://www.maestrocard.com/uk/ - Europe-based MaestroCard (subsuiary of Mastercard) http://www.mastercard.com/index.html - MasterCard Worldwide. Select your region for Debit offers http://www.americanexpress.com/gift/...slanding.shtml - American Express "Gift Card" seems to be similar, but nobody accepts them anyway :P http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Debit_card - And some more information from Wikipedia ^_^ Thanks for the info about CDJ's reduced shipping charges. I doubt it will affect me too much as I usually order 2-3 CDs at a time =\ |
^ Thanks kendelle for the info. I'll keep the info you posted, incase I need it in the future. :) For now, I don't think I will be using debit card, since I just asked my Dad about it, and it is a bit expensive to use. I do appreciate your reply a lot, thanks once again. :)
------------- Karen: I just signed up on HMV HK for an account, and ordered alan's voice of earth cd+dvd on HMV HK. It's the OS / HK Version. I am unsure how much stock they have of this album, but since it says it will take 5 - 10 days for shipping, they have low stock then? I wanted to order it originally from YesAsia, but I think they ran out of the OS version already, and is difficult for them to get. So my order on alan's cd on HMV HK says "open" as the status. What will it say next? And then after that? (as time progresses). I'm just curious, as I want to know what the different words/terms mean. :) And wow, HMV HK has Mika Nakashima's NO MORE RULES OS Version (CD+DVD) at a very good price! I might buy that too, later on. ^^ |
Quote:
I know because the last time I tried to order the OS press of ARASHI's truth / Kaze no Mukou e , after the 5-10 days's period , HMV HK emailed me back to say that they don't have anymore stock :( so that might happen for you too Quote:
if you have a PayPal a/c , it's better to buy VoE from ebay or though my Taiwanese friend though me since I got a copy myself from him the very day when the album was released in Taiwan |
Quote:
I hope I will be able to get it, and that HMV HK will have stock. Quote:
|
Hi, I hope im not asking in wrong section.
Anyway, i would like to ask if anybody know where can I buy online for the double jewel case , like most of Ayu jewel case for cd+dvd version? I tried to find it locally but i still cant find it :( It just i want to replace my LOVEppears cd case which i got it shattered into pieces from an ebay seller.. |
Quote:
Quote:
|
^lols, I actually already expected you to reply (since it looks like you answered most questions in this thread) but it happens that you also had the same problem as mine..so, yeah :D
|
Quote:
btw Tracy I have asked my Taiwanese friend Cliff to reserve a copy of alan's Voice of EARTH for you . He has 3 spare copies on his end so in case you want to cancel the order that you placed at HMV HK , let me know via PM & I will give you his email contact :D |
sad to answer, i had shop from a lot of online stores, but i never saw those cases, i had only once saw them at a local cd-rama store.
|
iyreen,
have you tried to search it in lowyat plaza??? i think they got sell.try to bring the casing to there and let them see.they can help you to search for it i think |
^ I've tried recently but it seems that they mostly sell the standard size 1 or the slim case. Some of the shop even like have no idea how the double jewel case looks like =.='' My only mistake is I didnt brought the case as example that time.
|
i think you need to bring the case to let them see because some of the staff over there don't really know the casings name
|
Quote:
I'm quite sure if such 'fat' cases are made to be sold here , it will make things much easier for everyone cos they're very & so not easy to be replaced at all |
HMV HK didn't end up having spare dual cases in stock =\ But they're offered to send 2 single cd cases so I can replace the cracked outer.
They said that as long as the middle bit is intact, the regular CD case backs will to the trick, you just gotta flip them around to replace the broken cover. What seller did you get that CD from Iyreen? o__o I've only had one CD with a crack from the sellers I use so far... |
Quote:
someone should start to open a shop & just specialise in selling those 'fat' cd cases , I will be their 1st customer :laugh |
:laugh And me no2! :D
I'm surprised that outside of my Jpop CDs I never see the fatter cases getting used =/ Every CD in the stores here is a single jewel case, or sometimes has the thin plastic "page" for you to place the second disc in. I usally get worried when taking them out because they're very thin and sometimes break. Just use fat cases already! :eviltongu |
Quote:
even Eng / Chinese CDs are not packaged in this manner . I don't know for KPop though it has its pros & cons . The pro's that it looked more 'stand out' while the bad bad thing's that when comes to storage space in the house , it can be quite a pain that & also it's not easy to be replaced when it's damaged internally/externally *points to Koda's BEST BOUNCE & LOVERS & ayumi's Memorial address* both of them have been smashed up internally for quite sometime at my end . I do hope that in future I can replace the cases somehow or another |
Quote:
I've been to music stores before looking for them and the guys there think it's a great idea. I think the music industry just goes with whatever's cheaper which sucks for me, because every western album I've ever had has a crack in it somewhere, I always break bits off taking the discs out! I don't have any KPop CDs so I can't comment either ;) |
Quote:
|
Eek, that's horrible! Be careful to check seller ratings, the stars, that they have on feedback before you buy....they can be a good indication of packing ability
My mum ordered some books on ebay and they came in a thin envelope that had fallen apart by the time it reached her! I'm glad it wasn't raining yesterday :P |
Guys, sorry if this has been discussed later but what's happened with YesAsia rising all the prices and where did the free shipping go?
It's just depressing what happened to me yesterday T_T Well I only have 1 ayu album (well only 1 overall xD) and I finally collected 38 USD and then I decided to order MY STORY CD + DVD with & single (if my father wanted to buy it as an extra for me xD) and then I come to YesAsia and see that they rised the price and I was like oh well it doesn't matter. And then my father agreed to order it and I was so happy (and he even let me order & with it)!But then YesAsia said that there is 13 USD shipping on standard service for it....Then my father decided not to buy it after all because together it would be around 80 USD.He told me to wait... But seriously what's happened to all that? |
That is strange. For me Standart shipping is still free when I put my Story in my cart O.o
|
@ Chiharo
my question to you's what item/s in the mix you planned to order ? because certain items you're not entitled to their free shipping policy http://www.yesasia.com/global/custom...on-answer.html YesAsia used to be able to allow customers to purchase US$25 worth of stuff to enjoy its free shipping policy but not anymore |
Both, My story and & are eligible for free shipping, also her order is above 39$. (Only orders over 39$ are eligible for free shipping)
|
Quote:
if not then she probably must have pressed the wrong button & got herself EMS instead of normal airmail I don't know :dead2 |
I only put MY STORY CD + DVD with & (both japan versions) and btw. there is no free shipping icon on any of ayu's items for me anymore...Is it because they maybe removed the free shipping just for my country?
(and I'm pretty sure I put it to standard service because under it was EMS) |
I am from Germany and for me the free shipping icons are still there O.o
Edit: When i change location to croatia the icons are gone. For Bulgaria as example itīs the same. For Germany or belgium the icons are still there. I guess they really took it away for certain countries |
Quote:
do you know how to do a screenshot ? if so can I see the order section of your YesAsia a/c page ? |
you want to try hmv japan instead? it's cheaper then YA(and cdjapan of coz). i tried checking both items out, and it's around USD$50( shipping included, but my area is singapore, so they might be a diference?), compare to YA's USD$57.74 with free shipping.
hmv uses only one shipping method, via register mail, which deliver faster then YA. they are actually having a sales now. & single http://www.hmv.co.jp/product/detail/1977052 my story CD+DVD http://www.yesasia.com/global/my-sto...0-en/info.html |
Ehh,I see so.
I officially hate YesAsia now. |
@Karen
I think not Quote:
|
What payment methods does HMV accept?
Do they take Paypal? |
^only credit cards.
|
Quote:
I have no credit card. Self protection not to spend too much money XD |
Quote:
|
~angel_ayumi~: or some debit cards can be use as a credit card too, but they deduct the money directly from your bank account, so i find it better to control my finance. my mastercard is a debit card from a local bank, which acts as a ATM card, i think Karen got the same as mine, coz i'm the 'culprit' who taught her about online shopping*hides in a corner*, when she was still a newbie here....
chiharo: what paymode mode are you using in paypal? because you can link your card to paypal too. |
^Well, the price comes anyway at 66 USD,which is so much better of course but still...
I'll ask my father later when he comes from work... |

welcome to the club Quote:

it's bad in the sense I don't know how much the item/s that I ordered are cos I'm billed after the item/s are shipped out it's different from CDJapan or if I buy from my Japanese/Taiwanese friends in that I'm billed 1st before they mail out my items Quote:
& since then I have left a massive wave of destruction in my bank book :lmfao |
Quote:
Well I have no idea what mode does my father use xD But I'll make sure I tell him that. |
Quote:
I did that too with my debit card alongside with my bank a/c particulars for my PayPal a/c so yup |
^Yeah and at least he said he'll order it!
I mean from YesAsia, since he didn't even consider the paypal thing with credit cards, he told me to prepare everything and that we'll order it right when he came back from work saying that I never ask him to buy me anything so 72 USD is enough for a year :laugh But however I shouldn't get too excited about it because maybe he'll change his mind, omg I hope he won't.I'm going to bring him my laptop now so he can write all the paypal thing needed. God,yesterday I was happy at first then very sad and now I'm happy and if I'm going to go sad again all of sudden, well I guess it's not so good for my heart :no |
awesome I do hope that you'll be able to get MY STORY and the & single in due time then :D
|
Thank you,KarenPang!^^
I'll probably order it tomorrow so thank you all for your help and answers :) |
A Question About YesAsia/CDJapan
Well, the only thing I've bought from YesAsia so far is NEXT LEVEL, but in the future I might plan to make more purchases from YesAsia, CDJapan, the other sites you guys all take for granted =P The thing is, I dont have a credit card, and it took me like a month to convince my dad to preorder NEXT LEVEL for me, so Ive been looking for many methods of online shopping without a credit card/debit card or related. Then I remembered seeing an ad at the mall a while back for American Express Gift Cards, and a commercial for Visa Gift cards. My question is, are those two cards accepted at YesAsia, CDJapan, and other vendors? I only live like 10 min away (by walking) from a CVS pharmacy and if they carry those cards, I might have found my break! Thanks for helping!
|
maybe this will answer your question , Bryan - http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/help/about_cdjapan.html
scroll down til you see the header "Various Payment Methods" if you're still not sure , best's to email them at info@cdjapan.co.jp |
Well, it says it accepts VISA and AE....hmmm....maybe I'll just buy one....and if it doesnt work...LOL the next time I go to a birthday party I can just give it away as a gift x_x
|
YesAsia does accept Visa giftcards as long as they're registered online.
I got one this past Christmas and I used it to buy Koda Kumi's TRICK and stay with me CDs from YesAsia. All I had to do was register the card online with the issuer via their website by entering my name, the card's number and verification code, and my address on their website first. This information is used the same way as it is for a regular credit card: to verify the card's legitimacy. So if you don't register your card online, no account info will show up when YA checks the card and they will think your card is fake and cancel your order. |
^Ok thanks for the info, now I just have to see if CVS has it in stock...

sorry I'm not that much of help in here :( |
ok guys. I think Im seriously have rights to worry now. Maybe some of you notice about my post regarding my usb encore press in some threads in ahs.
After it had been shipped on 8th April, till now I still havent received my usb from YA. I also recently had purchased some Ayu PCDL goodies which had been shipped on 30th April, and I still didnt received it as well. Im not worry about the PCDL goodies since its havent even reach 2 weeks from the shipped date, but Im very worry about my USB now since its already more than 1 month since its aredi been shipped. Please advice.. thanks |
^contact them NOW!!!!
i had once had my order send out for a month, and did not receive it. it should be lost in the mail, so they resend me another. you better do it fast, if it's lost, they will normally send you a new order. but if they don't have the stocks anymore, then they can only refund you, which means you won't get your usb. |
yeah you have to contact YA now, a month is pretty long,
especially concerning your USB. I recently ordered some pcdl goodies too, my order was shipped on may 3rd and I received it on the 9th, within a week, which for me is like super fast with regular shipping!?!? but I hope everything works out for you and that you get all your stuff really soon ^^ |
I just contact them, now waiting for their reply. I never expect my 1st buy with Yesasia will turn out like this..:(
and after reading Blasterion comment, I dont know if I should worrying about my PCDL goodies now .. |
I usually have to wait about 3 weeks to Australia, so your PCDL goods should be just around the corner...I would worry about the USB though. YA will respond pretty quickly though.
|
YA shipping times vary alot. My fastest was the Blue Bird singles, I recived the posters one day before and the singles themselfs on the release date XD
On the other hand my 2009 calendar took ap. 1 month... |
you probably don't have to worry about your PCDL goodies, my orders usually take at least 2 weeks,
so me getting the stuff this quick is a rarity. and yes YA will probably respond to you really soon. |
YA replied my email, and they said they will take full responsibility on it and will resend the order to me.. What a relief. I hope this time it wont got lost somewhere again..:(
|
shipping is such an issue. i pre-ordered the 2CD+DVD NEXT LEVEL from CDJapan months ago. but waited for about 1 month to get it... ><
|
That's good news Iyreen, YA resending the order.
Maybe your mailman was an obsessed Ayu fan..? ;) I hope you get it really soon this time ^^ |
after I confirm my address again, they reply me again that now they are resourcing from suppliers. This word "sourcing from supliers" really freak me out T.T
i scare if they have no more in stock. Im started to think too much now :thud |
I ordered Utada's This Is The One and Perfume's One Room Disco from YesAsia and it only took about a week to get to Australia, I was pretty surprised! Although my copy of This Is The One came with a cracked case :( I think I'll stick to CDJapan...
|
Quote:
you want to consider to order from HMV HK instead ? http://www.hmv.com.hk/product/product.asp?sku=447654 they have a LOT of stock for the thumbdrive version of NEXT LEVEL as compared to Shipping takes about 4-5 working days & I used their services a lot of times & they're awesome . The downside's that they only accept credit cards , I don't know how you pay for your online purchases though Quote:
yes stick to CDJapan . I never got a cracked case from YesAsia but there was 1 time where I ordered 4 singles & 1 of them that was sent to me , was the wrong one O_O |
^ that is my plan if they really have no more instock. I just wondering whether if I can just ask them to make refund so I can place order on HMV... I'll better stick to cdJapan and HMV after this..except for those collectible item that only YA have :thud
|
I'm trying to use Crescent for the first time and I don't really understand what I'm doing (lol)
I have a $50USD deposit and I was bidding on a NL USB that was 20JPY. I entered 50JPY as the auction was 3 mnutes to go and I don't think my bid was added. Even though it says on my Auction List that I've bid 50JPY. Should the bids go through automatically or do they have to be added in by someone from Crescent (meaning I have to bid a high amount early instead of try and snipe like with eBay?)....do many people here use it? |
Quote:
Quote:
you want to PM them on this ? |
Well, I got confirmation emails of my bids, so I guess they went though o__o; I might as well wait it out and see what happens. I just saw the 20Y USB and thought it was too awesome to miss! xDD All the other auctions I'm looking at end in a few days so I guess I'll keep checking back to see if the amount has increased ^^;
|
So teh auction has allraeyd ended?
Then just look on the auction site and see whi is the highest bider to see if they did bid. |
and they (crescent) will probably send you a mail if the bid was succesful or not..
I've never used Crescent before, but I used a few others and that's what they all do. so you'll probably know soon. |

By the way, Lacus, you bought your PCDL bath towel at the YA spring sale right? When YA shipped your item and when did u received it? I just want to estimate the shipping time of YA to Malaysia since Malaysia and SG are neighbour. |
^i think i receive it within 8 working days
|
^God. I think I can worry for my PCDL goodies now? *_* I wonder whats wrong with my item I bought from YA??? Im sure I've given them my correct shipping address..
|
^don't worry yet, i had once wait for an order from them for 3 weeks
|
lol, free shipping usually = slow shipping. xD
So, I have another question relating to Crescent Shop - how am I able to order the Marionette box from mu-mo through them? Or anything from Japan-based online stores #__# |
you can send a message to them under the message board with the url/what is the item/quantites, then they will reply you on the message board with the quotation.
If you agree with their price, then you pay through paypal, and after they receive your payment, they will order for you. BUT the tricky thing is they don't accept preorders, you can only ask for a quotation after the item is available at mu-mo, so you have to take the risk that it might be sold out before they place your order. Remember, the musical box is only available 18th june from 6pm japan time, so you have to hog the computer during that period(i'm planning to do that, i DIE DIE MUST HAVE IT!!!!!). |
^ Haha, I'll stay late at work and order it (because our home internet doesn't work!) ;__;
|
yay~ today I got 4 parcels at ONCE (postman pile up my parcels again -.-) and two of them are from the long awaited yesasia's NL Usb and PCDL goodies. Finally after so many weeks +_+
The other two are from Karen (around 3 weeks from Sg @_@) and Branv. and the USB that I got is the reship one.I guess the original shipment is really lost. |
wow...good to hear that you've received your parcel although its quite long =.="
|

i think its good already because they don't lost it :p

I mailed out stuff to people living in different states of Malaysia before so I understand that
it doesn't matter now , at least you have received the DVD from me already :yes |
yeap, its fine as long as I got the item, but I dun like their attitude (Malaysian postal service) for always delaying. They can work on time on registered stuff so why not for regular airmail since the speed between registered and non-registered is same It just registered need to be sign by receiver while regular is not, thts the only diff. Well..waiting is suffering for me at least when it started to reach months or so. Sometimes I feel the speed is like im using SAL instead of regular airmail +_+
Too bad I cant afford EMS much since the cost is killing me. nvm, I'll better stop complaining because I know I aredi said about this for so many times aredi :P |
