yeah, First Message was all right but I think I need to give it another proper listen after hearing Sing to the Sky. However this album already is a VAST improvement over her last. The album tracks are incredible and the single tracks are pretty good too.

I don't wanna say that Sing To The Sky is better than First Message but I think they're both equally compatible, I love all the songs on both albums, they're just fantastic in their own ways, she's definitely an artist I won't get sick of.

I listened to a bit of Sing to the sky and I'm really liking it, although so far I'm prefering First Message. I think I'll have to listen to the full album to make my final decision (although Kobukuro might ruin it for me lol I can't stand them for some reason) I really love Ayaka's style though, she seems really spunky xD

(anyway, what's Kuri no Hana doing there? it's a re-release?) GReeeeN's first album kept their #2 position for the 3 first weeks of charting, and the only hit song from that one was Ai Uta, which sold less than Kiseki (plus the other 2 singles sold a lot less than Hito and BE FREE/Namidazora). But I guess #2 is easier to keep than #1, because their drop from 1st week to 2nd was considerable. I seriously don't know if they'll stay in #1 next week as well. And is ELLEGARDEN really competition? I hardly ever hear of them, didn't know they were popular XD |
I know NINKI isn't as reliable as hoped, but ELLEGARDEN had like a 200 NINKI so I guess they're not someone to throw away.

I bought STTS because of Zettai Kareshi haha - but it's really a great album! The live DVD was really great too, even the Jackson 5 song... :rolleyes. In fact, afterwards I had to go buy first message too!
Actually, the reason sales are down in part is because of the multiple versions. Many of her Japanese fans were angered by having to choose between PVs and the live dvd, and at the fact that Warner is trying to get them to buy the same album so many times - if you look at the Japanese reviews on amazon.co.jp the same complaint pops up: the music is great, why isn't it a cd and two dvd set? Even if the price for a cd and two DVDs is higher, it's not as high as buying two copies of the album. Some people are going as far as to say that the CD seems like the bonus feature! Plus greeeen is a male band, and their sales are high purely for that reason - in Japan, male groups almost always outsell females solo artists when they are similarly popular... |

Kimi ga Iru Kara was nice...I dunno, I personally liked other songs more to it but it wasn't the worst on the album. Although it does have that reallly cool music that makes it stand out. Te wo Tsunagou is good too, I can't decide between the two lol Also, I forgot to add Mahoutsukai no Shiwaza :) it reminds me of a story |

I'm in Okazaki, Japan now, so I bought Sing to the Sky yesterday at the mall. There was a huge ayaka poster in the Tower Records. I didn't take a picture of it, though, because I didn't want to get in trouble. But she is getting a lot promotion! :D
