Nope, never seen it before. Thanks for the link, I'll check it out! ^^

Yum!Fruit_Salad! 25th January 2009 06:55 AM

Thanks for the video. Gosh, she sure has matured.

rookies 25th January 2009 07:03 AM

For some reason, I can see her music career being really long. She'll be in the music business for some time.

She's extremely talented, and for me, she was the breakthrough artist of 2005/2006. ^^

Yum!Fruit_Salad! 25th January 2009 07:26 AM

I felt that way about her for awhile. Listened to her songs a lot and played a few songs almost everyday. I guess because she hasn't done much and ILY, I lost some of my excitement for her. It's probably why I'm hoping for future releases to be better. I don't want to dislike her.

rookies 25th January 2009 08:02 AM

Speaking of ILY, I played the entire album today, and it was better than before for some reason. I didn't like ILY that much before, but it is somewhat starting to grow on me. Maybe a few more listens to the entire album, and I'll start to like it more, perhaps.

Beauty4123 25th January 2009 03:13 PM

i heard of YUI from "rolling star" back in fall 2006. since then, i've been with her music :D

KarenPang 25th January 2009 04:00 PM

my younger sister kept using Rolling star as her ringtone for a period of time & that went for Tomorrow's way too til I got fed up :laugh

Yum!Fruit_Salad! 25th January 2009 08:54 PM

LIFE, Rolling star, and Tomorrow's way were the song for me. Played one of them almost everyday and eventully got my friend interested in her.

rookies 26th January 2009 12:40 AM

LIFE is her breakthrough song. *__*

And then Good-bye Days was another breakthrough again. ^^

Yum!Fruit_Salad! 26th January 2009 04:02 AM

That was the song for YUI. It's when a lot of the Japanese public noticed who she was.

rookies 26th January 2009 04:05 AM

I love Good-bye days. And the movie tie-in was quite big, which really helped a lot. ^^ And also, she starred in the movie too, so that also helped in addition. :)

Yum!Fruit_Salad! 26th January 2009 05:08 AM

Having Erika Sawajari (did I mess up the last name?) star in Taiyou no Uta helped, too.

Her last name is Sawajiri.

And I think Erika's "Taiyou no Uta" held off YUI's Good-bye days from the #1 spot if I remember correctly. :/ So it wasn't good for YUI. :(

:yes & since then she has been scoring top 10 hits , single after single

rookies 26th January 2009 10:33 AM

I guess "LIFE" helped make herself known, but it was Good-bye days that helped establish her in the J-pop music industry. ^^

I like both songs of her , they're equally good

Rolling star was the one that got me started on her music as I basically likes rock music

I guess I didn't like that song that much, cus it was more rock than pop. It was leaning more towards the rock side.

KarenPang 26th January 2009 04:26 PM

some of her harder works I adore like Rolling star , Daydreamer , NO WAY , RUIDO

I looked at my I LOVED YESTERDAY CD+DVD, and it has that Oui thing too, what exactly is that? I think it was a typo, to be honest, but looks like it is not. I thought they misspelt YUI. o_O

nah it's not a spelling error

Oui is a french word which means Hey or Hi I think

Oui means Yes in French. ^^ I haven't taken French in so long, it's been quite awhile.

Anyways, I don't know which version of I LOVED YESTERDAY I have, so maybe you can help me, Karen?

Here are the details:

I LOVED YESTERDAY CD+DVD.

It came in a see-through bag, with 4 or 5 YUI post cards.

The DVD comes with 4 PV's, plus some premium edition Live thingy.

Which version do I have???!

I guess yours's the special OS press edition because of the postcards . It's totally outta print on YesAsia

there's still plenty of stock left on HMV HK though

you're lucky cos the SG press doesn't have the postcards :grumpy

It is the Hong Kong version, as it says on the sticker.

I wish they would put some info on the sticker, saying that it is First Press, Limited, or Special edition, or something like that. Maybe they do, I'll have to see again.

Wow, so mine is the First Press / Limited Edition?! Sweet!

What's the SG Press? And which version do you have of I LOVED YESTERDAY?

yours should be HK press because HMV HK does sell both CD + DVD's editions be it with or without the postcards . SG press means that it's printed locally in S'pore

the version that I bought for my sister , it didn't came with the postcards but it's CD + DVD

YUI-net.com has came back in time with old YUI-net templates from YUI’s Debut with 『feel my soul』 (2005.02.23) to her latest album “I LOVED YESTERDAY” and “MY SHORTS STORY”.

It’s a good opportunity from new YUI’s fans who want to see how looks YUI’s website at its debut. Even for longer fans it’s very cool, so nostalgic!

Go to YUI-net.com e and just click on the CD Jacket you want and teleport in time

rookies 11th February 2009 08:09 AM

^ That's quite rare for them to do that right? Cus I can't think of any other artist's website that would bring old templates out.

Beauty4123 11th February 2009 09:19 PM

oh, that's a nice thing for them to do. i remember when i first discovered YUI, the rolling star template was on, lol.

I saw the CD+DVD Limited Edition in stores. But it's a b-side album, so I dunno... and there's only two or three b-side songs I like.

I have the dilemma where I want to buy it cus I'm a YUI fan, and if I get it, I'll have all 4 albums. But I dunno if I should buy it just for the sake of buying it. *sigh*.
