i just went to mumo and check the status of the USB version.. it seems they are trying to get the pre order that was placed until march 5 manufactured, and start sending on april 7th under the order of the preorders . AND ppl who pre ordered during march 6-16 will start sending on april 21st under the order of the preorders... so i guesss.... we who preordered now.. should be able to get one this time... ><

Hey guys, don't you think that Yesasia is charging us a lot of cash for the Express shipping? Like... 30 bucks! Alright, it's fast service but still, it remains a thumbdrive held in a single jewel case. By the way, the product page states "3 shipment units". That seems to me overrated... Maybe they'll fix it when they get to know the real weight (CD Japan said that their shipping cost was subjet to change as the weight was still unknown to them, they put 500g for example but that won't probably be that much...

The thing for YesAsia is that their shipping in general have been cheaper then CDJapan's.
But in their defence we all must look at the world economy and with those rising flight taxes and such. YA was cheaper once, but with todays economy its hard to keep those shipping costs low.

But then again, I never use express shipping cuz its just a waste of money, my products will come, just a couple of days later... I dont mind that so much. :P

^ Not to mention on basic shipping sometimes they surprise you and it comes sooner than expected! Especially for pre-orders.

Tell them that YesAsia won't charge the credit card until the USB ships (a month from now). From my experience they only charge the card once the order is ready to go out to you.

To macluva: There is not a regular version. The two versions are limited editions, but Avex re released the product because of the numerous enquiries people made to acquire the USB. The second release is the encore version, and the main (and probably only) difference is it's case. The first limited edition comes in a yellow case, and the encore edition comes in a transparent case :yes

as stated at the beginning...avex decides to make more and call is an encore press, the only difference so far is that the case will be transparent instead of the yellow.

Taiwan has officially received the rights to import in the Jp USB encore version of NEXT LEVEL.
From 27 Feb 2009 to 2 March 2009, people can start to preorder Ayu's new album, usb version in all music stores and avex taiwan's e-shop.
- The encore USB version will cost NT$2388
- Estimated time of receiving the product is mid April 2009.
- Product will come in the form of transparent case.

i think USBs are NOT limited anymore.

If I haven't understood bad... for what i've read in the avex message, they will produce XXX quantity of USB in order of how many peopel have ordered it... I'm right?? because then they say that we can order it until 14 marhc "while suplies last"... so.. it's a contradiction...

at CDjapan it's €51,52 / $65,74 and at Yesasia is €56,71 / $72,99

i wonder why there is so much difference in the price ....

^ It may be because shipping is expensive at CD Japan so it adds up to be about the same :(
however I still ordered it from CDJ :)

^ Shipping is kind of included in the price of the product at YA, which I suppose is why there's a few dollard difference in products....at least for me, it's $19 between CDJ and YA, that would have almost covered Air Mail!

I also think that YA may be sourcing their USBs from mu-mo, so there's middleman fees to include too - YA had it available way before CDJ got it back.

I think YesAsia absorbs some of the shipping cost in the product fee, which allows free shipping to certain countries... CD Japan's shipping is outrageous, so they can dull down the price a bit! HMV (at least in my opinion) is the best of both worlds... Discount items, standard EMS shipping fee (the same even when you buy multiple items!) Unfortunately I don't think they got more though ;_;...

Who cares that its not as exclusive now? Ayu will make a great profit and those of us that didn't have a chance to get the first press can now enjoy the USB without paying hundreds of dollars through YAJ, and those that missed out and had no other way to get one won't miss out now.

I preordered the second I saw the link. And I got just paid so thank god lol. I think one the main reasons I got it was because its so pretty.

Quick question. I have been wondering about this encore version. I ordered it (encore version) from YA and they say that the expected ship out date will be March 27th. But isnt this going out in April or something? Or will they shipp this in March? I'm pretty confuced... :P

They are still RIDICULOUSLY expensive. omg. I can get one made exactly the same and pay less for it. 4GB usb are only like $12aus down at JB-hi fi. WTF PEOPLE.

Anyway, we pay it because we want it and because we can afford it, no one is forcing us to get the stick. It's expensive because it's a japanese product and the costs of making such USB's are really high compared to a cd. Making a USB with a cd content like the new Ayumi Album is a -relatively- new selling method, and not exactly profitable (that is why they are making the sticks in such small quantities)

And honestly i really doubt the one you can get on your own is going to be as cute or with the same content as the original.

Agreed, I saw Harvey Norman with 2Gb USBs for like $5 last week! They are the cute little ones that flip open :luv2 but I have about 3 USBs already not counting the Ayu one, so I left it and bought a 1TB drive for LANs :lech

SA doesn't really have a store that's cheaper than JB yet ^^; I heard one of the stores in VIC had I Am... for about $60+ but that was a while back!
