I just wanted to remind to everyone what Koda said herself in that documentary about her sister Misono...

After all the difficulty of actually debuting, as you all know, it took her a long time to actually become well known. It was Koda's dream since she was a little girl to become a singer and despite Misono never cradling that same dream, out of nowhere, Koda said she was surprised, Misono did so and went for it. Seeing how well Misono was doing with Day After Tomorrow, even winning Newcomer of the Year at the JGDA, she said that seeing the success of her sister, she was happy but at the same time sad. "How can I achieve the same success?" She had noticed how involved Misono was with her work, lives, dressing, etc and that motivated Koda to do the same.

She went into more but basically if it hadn't been for Misono, Koda Kumi would not be Koda Kumi. So I think we should all appreciate her more and not bash her so much.

I agree that Kumi is more talented, but the way people bash her (not necessarily in this thread), I have to admit I've been surprised when she's been at the top of like "Most Desired Women" Oricon polls (cause I don't think she's that cute) but sometimes they're just too mean! I mean, a lot of people on this forum love Koda so they should appreciate who helped her get there.

Interestingly, Koda also mentioned that she feels that Misono has a better pitch than her and that her lives are of CD quality.

that's nice that misono inspired kumi to persevere with her career. it's also good that there is no rivalry between them, especially since both of them experienced highs when the other experienced lows in their careers.

they seem to have a good relationship, but i'd rather it not lead to more collaborations in the future... their music styles are so different and what came out as a result was something i really did not like.

idk.. i think people think it's cool to hate on misono. it isn't, and she wasn't the reason it's all love sucked, if only koda sung it it would still be just as bad.

I liked It's all Love! so I can't really complain.

The PV for Alive has a nice background but I found overall a bit boring. There is nothing special.
And the song Alive isn't one of her best ballads too. I want a Kuu ballad like "Yume no Uta". I can feel the emotions in it but I miss this feeling in her last few ballads

out of her dramatic ballads (you, yume no uta, ai no uta, stay with me) that seem to be always be released at the year's end, yume no uta is by far the best! the arrangement of that song was phenomenal and the way she sang it was amazing... i really love that song, especially recently!

Wow. Okay. I just watched the Alive PV for the first time, having not seen any previews or anything...and, I have to admit I'm really surprised.

I did not like this song very much, and while I feel that it's not completely perfect, it's still really beautiful, and there's something about this PV, that just damn..touches you.

Maybe I'm just all emotional right now or PMSing or something, but I thought that PV was beautiful, and had a simple but really warm message, and it all seemed so heartfelt.

I take back what I said before about this not being such a strong single...I think it's pretty solid. What I really love, is how the PVs capture the songs just wonderfully.

I just watched the Alive PV, and wow! Kuu looks so pretty in it and the PV was a nice, fantasy sort of thing with a sort of good attempt at having a message/meaning other than it just being shallow aesthetics. I don't care for the song though. There's just something about her vocals that doesn't sit well with me.
