yeah it did have some huge tie ins with VS and coke zero, but it had zero tv performances :dead2
and i remember that wild got leaked like almost 2 months before the release date lmaoo. oh well it still did pretty good :P and most importantly, i still love both songs to death <3 |
For comparison, Arashi's first week sales were 214,000. So I don't think Namie is going to surpass them. But aside from that, these are amazing numbers for a female solo artist.

after watching the whole tour, I can say her voice is under of category good. her voice is so annoying but her dancing skill and stamina fades it and still consider good. i agree if BFT is her best tour ever but not for vocal...

My roommate has a ticketmaster account, and they send him updates of concerts that are going to be in our area (with a radius of a couple states), and he had received an email that included a performance for Amuro Namie in Las Vegas, but shortly thereafter received an email saying there was an error in the previous email, but it didn't say what the error was. Has anyone heard anything about this??? I highly doubt she's going to be in Vegas, but...who knows?

i thought in PLAY tour, it was hard to hear her real voice over the studio recording they played SUPER loud for her dance songs. it annoyed me.. so even if her voice isn't AMAZING in BF tour i like that it all sounds live. but what irked me the most about BF tour is the way she sang Do me more. she didn't sing it correctly. it's weird that just a couple changes in pitch can make me hate a song, if the original Do me more was sung like that i'd seriously hate it. but it isn't so i love it :D

^ Weird, I downloaded one of the rips from the concert in Japan where she was SICK and I loved the way she sang it. I think she gave a different kind of energy to the song... and the drums make it even more epic.

I think Namie has one of the most pleasant voices in the Japanese music industry.
You don't get a lot of artists that have a voice like hers that isn't "eccentric" like koda kumi's for example. I do dislike when she yells though. @identity: I agree, she left out some notes, especially the ones at the ends of the verses in the chorus...and it bugged me so much lol WILD was the same...but I kinda let it go... |

Yeah, single, but not album! I know she said she wanted to have a new album out by the end of the year, but I really don't mind that she won't, even if the gap between new album will be bigger than ever. I think the release of BEST FICTION and the concert kinda "threw her off". Haha.
