I don't have that much issues with Dream"A"live & I can also say that it was the 1st album of the guys that I ordered via HMV HK

it's just that after I listened backwards to Iza , Now - Time , you can tell if you were to compare these albums against Dream"A"live , Dream"A"live sounded like a world apart from those records

I just hope in their next album , it will be better & that goes for solo tunes if they were to include too

Because of the unauthorized usage of their group names and photographs to publish photobooks, the 11 members in total of popular idol groups KAT-TUN and Arashi have filed a lawsuit against R'S Publishing (アールズ出版), requesting for 170 Million Yen (1.886 million USD) worth of compensation and for the unauthorised books to halt publishing and sales immediately. This was learnt on the 29th of September.

The published material in question were a total of 12 different unofficial photobooks published between 2005 and 2008, which featured the use of the groups' names in the titles of the books as well as contained photographs of the members of the two groups.

In the complaint, it was said that "the plaintiffs are reknowned celebrities who belong to nationally-popular groups, and own the rights to their names and images which have certain monetary values", the publishing company has used the members' names and photographs without authorization and have hence infringed upon their copyright.

In addition, the sales of some of the unauthorized photobooks are said to be at least 100,000 copies per book, sales profits which do not go to either their talent agency or any of the members at all.

The publishing firm have on the 29th, in their first plea statement argued, "So as to reflect the changes of the idols, we have only minimally used a portion of their photos. Since they are nationally-popular idol groups, their names and photographs ought to have some sort of public ownership, so there has been no copyright infringement."

ARASHI & KAT-TUN are the 2 bands that I listened to the most Johnny's wise & that goes for whatever stuff I have of both bands too T_T

but I graviate towards KAT-TUN more unlike my younger sister because of their music . Rock basically well rocks LOL

I do want ARASHI to someday return back to their hip hop/rock roots once more . They definitely can sell now since they have the selling power that they once lacked as compared to their early days/years in the business

^ Yeah, honestly their last few singles have been very safe imo. My Girl too so far doesn't sound all that different from Seasons, Everything, and Ashita no Kioku. They need to be careful not to release so many similar sounding songs in a row - people will get burned out.

out of everything you've listed, i really honestly dislike "season" the most. but i really haven't hated any of this year's singles. i mean, when they have drama tie-ins, it's hard to make a poppy and crazy kind of song. maybe next year they won't have as many drama tie-ins (but i still need the members to have dramas :laugh), or even if they do, i hope it'll be more an upbeat happy song rather than a sad peaceful song. you know?

I also think JE has been safe with their singles. It's not like dorama tie-ins have to be poppy and catchy. "Jidai" had a dorama tie-in, too, but is harder. Perhaps JE is being safe with the singles, because of their recent popularity boost, but album tracks might be edgier. *shrugs*

^ Yeah, I really don't think that the drama tie in necassarily has anything to do with it. I mean honestly for The Quiz Show something darker and more dramatic like Truth would fit the drama better than Ashita no Kioku. And then when Everything is a mid-tempo ballad, why release Seasons, another mid-tempo ballad as its b-side? JE has definitely been playing it safe. However I think even the general public would agree that their previous singles in general are better than the ones from this year its just that at the time that those came out, the general public hadn't caught on yet.

I at least like it better than Season and Everything. :) But seriously, they need to quit with the mid tempo ballads already! It's forgivable at least for this though since I can't picture the drama going with anything other than a balladish song.

if i was a fan from the beginning, who knows if i would like their current music, but i honestly love their music right now regardless. i agree that i'd like something different than mid-tempo ballads, but i really don't find the songs horrible or anything :shrug but that's my opinion, so i respect others' opinions as well :yes i'm just never gonna give up on arashi. without them, i'd have nothing, haha. really :P

well I came onboard their music during a brief time cool off after Step and Go was released & before One Love dropped

so I was like being caught in between their older & current works which gave me the chance to listen back & forward of their stuff

I don't know if it's the age in me talking but I definitely like their older works in terms of singles

it was so hip hop & rock which I really like & there was so much Sakurap going on at that time

I'm sure that if they were to put out something like that right now , they will not need to worry about sales anymore since they have the selling ability to do so unlike in the past where they weren't able to do so

so I don't know , I generally like their discography basically at the end of the day haha so I guess you can say that I'm pretty much easily satisfied LOL xD

haha, i got into them the day the step and go PV was uploaded. i remember i saw it on the JPS tracker on a friday..but i went to YT and watched the PV on there. at the time i still didn't really LOVE them but i followed them since then. and it's all history from there, haha.
