I don't think that the cats are the cause of the accident, even I don't either think that they got hit by the motorcycle. I think it is more symbolic, remember that cats (especially black cats) are usually related to these kind of things, like death and bad luck accidents.

I really like this about these PV's in this single. They're turning out to be unique, it's a nice switch up from the PV's we got in the last single which were just like live performances.

These 2 pvs are great different than her other pvs and its great to have such good change. It feels like these 2 pvs had more time to plan and prepare them than her recent ones like s/s, next level, curtain call, etc.

Surprisingly I rather liked that video. It felt like a slightly different take on most of her sad couple ballad videos (though it felt like a premise Ayu would use in concert), and thought the cinematography was quite nice. I'm looking forward to seeing it in HQ (because I want to see what her dress looks like >_<).

Tried watching the PV but it is too low quality. I'm sure the high quality will be posted soon so I'll wait. :) From what little I saw though, it looked really good.

The husband of one of my managers at work was once in a coma for a month. Apparently people in comas can hear what is going on around them and they tend to incorporate it into their dream world while they're out of it. So, presumably, if Ayu was with him while his physical body was in the hospital, and she actually vocalized any of the stuff in her letters, there is a good chance that it would find its way into his coma-induced world.

About the world where pink-fairy Ayu is... no idea about the interpretation on that one.

So after watching the video TWICE!, I kinda like it but, in a way I kinda disappointed (Please don't kill me, lol). I was hoping for something along the line of PoM, but it wasn't. One thing I loved about the PV is Ayu's beauty :lech. But whatever, I'll probably changed my mind once I see the HQ version I guess.

I think, like someone already said, the letters that Shuya received is letters or even words that Ayu said/wrote while waiting for him beside his bed, and for Shuya's letter which cant be sent is because he trying to communicate with Ayu but he just cant cos he still in coma. And about Shuya stuck in place with full of clocks, maybe it means time is all that matter for a people who is in coma, either he will wake up or just die, but time will decide for it. About Ayu in heaven-like place,well IMO it doesent relate with the story, it just a place for her to "sing". Sorry if this is a bad interpretation :P

I'm so glad the news clip did NOT reveal the...real climatic moment, which was when Shuya sees himself. GOsh, what a wonderful PV. Plot, Symbolism, Emotion.
I'm so glad Ayu had a hand in the direction in this.

I think Shuya is in coma. The words he send out definitely cannot reach Ayu. I'm thinking those letter he even receive are what he wrote himself? Those letters by the bedside, could Ayu really see them? They just landed at the window in a mess. I feel like, Ayu can't really see them.
I love the clock scene. At first when they showed ONE clock, I was thinking,"Wow what a bizarre clock" and then there were more. Could it mean uncertainty? There's no fixed time in Shuya's world (he can leave anytime but he's holding on so that he can speak with Ayu).

About Shuya being the centre of the PV, he definitely is. Without him (and I think he acted REALLY WELL..Ayu said he portrayed emotions very well so she keeps using him...kudos to him), it really needed THAT acting though i feel. I don't get how it links to the Ayu in outer space though..She seems to be waiting for his letters...through the water? (I had this weird imagination that she sends letters down to him via the pond)

I shall talk about Ayu now. SHE IS SO PRETTY! The green eyeshadows remind me of the Scawaii photoshoot she did..last year? this year? And I love the whole scenery she was in. Biker Ayu looked amazing! esp the scene with her face alone.

About the "outer space" part though... I have something to add:
I think it definitely relates. I think that part is Shuya's image of the real world. That's why he's down in the pond. That Ayu in 'outer space' is Ayu outside of Shuya's mind sitting by the bedside, I think. At the end when they show her by the bed side, it's the reality of his image.

And It was like the letters he received from her were her actual words to him from his bedside. After she sent "Please stay with me." it was like she was willing him to stay alive. She even held out that blooming flower in his dream world at that point that seemed to symbolize the gift of life to me.

I think that's why Ayu is so gorgeous in that part too-- because to him her beauty would be exaggerated.

I am just so speechless watching this PV. It's so heart-wrenching. Shuya is not only in the PV, it seems like it's more focused on him 8D Neither he nor Ayu exaggerated in their acting for this PV, so we can safely say all those exaggerations were really just stage stuff. I love his new hair colour, but the style, not really.

I love the many symbolisms in this PV, the letters, the clocks, the cat-mailman. I wonder if the cat-mailman has anything to do with the black cats on the street?

At first I was confused, but then I realised that there were two mailboxes, one in the middle of the field, one in front of Shuya's house. I wonder what made Shuya ran after the mailman though, is it because Ayu's replies to him didn't match with what he had said to her? When realised what happened, gaaaah. Heartbreaking. What does it mean, when the mailman turns out to be him?

I realised that the letters that Shuya received corresponds with the last line of the chorus, the first letter said "Please don't go" - the last line of the first chorus was "ikanaide". Same with the second letter, "please stay with me" - last line of the second chorus was "soba ni ite". The third letter, shown at the hospital table (I think), "Sorry", last line of last chorus "yurushite". At first I was wondering why the letters were in English, this is probably why.

Its been awhile since the last time I totally loved a release from ayu. The covers, songs, and pvs are all really great. I'm very very happy. I love the symbolism in the BALLAD pv. This kind of pv is what I've been really missing from ayu. The fact that she took part of this pv made me feel relieved that she hasn't lost her touch. Surprisingly Shuya didn't make me not like the pv...maybe his new hair color helped...lol. The acting was not exaggerated...thank god! Ayu looks really pretty in the pv too. I'm really looking forward to the making ofs for both the pvs.

About the Ayu in the heaven, i think that's supposed to be the way Shu-ya remembers her. He's all alone, only thinking of her and that's the form of her in his memories.
And i think the flower she was holding that scattered away represents the letters she wrote that were scattered over the desk and floor in the room.
The part where Shu-ya realizes the mailman is him, that's like the moment in a dream when you realize something's not right and it's only a dream.

I find it hilarious that before the PV came out, even before the preview, many were 100% sure they were going to hate it and the BALLAD PV was so great, it's even generating some Shuya love :roflmao

The problem is that everytime people around here like anything she releases, they are like "omg! she is amazing! i wanna lick her ass so bad!", and everytime she does anything people around here dislike it's like "poor Ayu... keep trusting on this evil Shuiya/Peco/Max/Avex/Kazu/Jesus/Maron"

But didn't they point out that she had more input on this PV and made sure everything was how she wanted it instead of just approving everything? And in my opinion, since Kazu got a hold of directing, the PVs he shot for Ayu were not as great as they could have been. She's been relying on everyone else like they asked but this time it seems she pulled in the reins a bit.

Believe me, I know it's 50% her fault when things go bad. But since she put more effort into this PV and it turned out great, I'd like to see her put in more effort next time. T'is all :D

The BALLAD PV is really pretty, the only scene I have a problem with is the one when they fall off the bike as it looks silly somehow. The rest is really nice and dreamy, especially the scene with all the clocks :)
