Heide is a German word btw and it can either mean pagan, heather or the landscape were heathers grow. I'm curious what it will be in the end.

The new single is out! Somehow I got confused with another release date and thought it would be out at the end of the month.

Anyway, it was supposed to be released at the 8th but got postponed to the 15th. It debuted at Oricon at no. 14 with 5615 copies sold.

Regarding the meaning behind the title Heide, I found the following at a tumblr blog:


Furthermore they just posted at their fb, together with a commen from YUKKE, that the new song (Heide I guess?) will be the theme song for an anime called "Nanatsu no Taizai: Seisen no Shirushi":


I haven't listened to the whole single yet, just to Heide, because I'm translating it right now. I think the music works very well with the lyrics and is quite beautiful. I would love to find a link for the PV but I guess it isn't up yet.
I have to go to university now and will listen to the other songs on my way.

Yeah its nice. It reminds me a little of Gerbera but happier. But I thought their outfits were a little much for such a simple song.

Killer was to me like everything I hated about t.r.e.n.d.y. lol. I really liked joker because it sounded like it was an extra from kyuutai. The titke track is also pretty good

I translated Heide and it was damn hard for me, because I spend a lot of time interpreting rather than translating to figure out what Tatsuro actually meant. Be aware that I’m no Tenshi no Hane, but I did my best. Furthermore, I asked a friend who is half German and half Japanese, and therefore grew up bilingual, if she could check my German translation. She was pretty satisfied and if she wasn’t just trying to not hurt my feelings, it should be alright. ;) But she also wasn’t exactly sure what’s the point he wanted to get across sometimes. Since I’m no native English speaker I guess my German translation is more accurate than my English one, but I hope you enjoy it anyway.
And because I spend so much time on interpreting, I will add that one too. Maybe we can discuss it? =)
Furthermore, I also translated Kanashimi to DANCE wo, I found it easier to translate and I find it interesting that in both songs a flower plays such an important part.

Thanks for the translation! I too agree that Heide seems to be about a person who might be limiting or isolating themselves. Japanese lyrics are hard to translate because they use words or sentences to convey feelings that may not translate correctly in other languages so I think you did a great job. I personally don't even remember how kanashimi to dance wo goes so I have to go listen to it to really appreciate your translation lol

Just listened to the single. YESTERDAY ONCE MORE was unexpected but great. I like it.
Trigger is pretty good I think, my favourite from the single, love it!
The remix of Heide has a more positive feeling than the original already has. I was listening to it while taking the train. Somehow that works very well together. xD But at around for minutes you hear a chipmunk voice scream "Are you ready?". I laughed so hard and had to think of Ayu immediately. lol
CLASSIC is actually way better than I though it was. I didn't remembered it to be that rockish. I think Tatsuro's voice is pretty good in it and I love how they implemented the piano from time to time. And the female voice in the middle speaking is also great because it gives me X JAPAN feels.

I just went to MUCC's two day live "MUCC 2018 ～復活の夜～ The WALL-CRIMEorDESTROY-" at Zepp Tokyo. The concert was pretty great and they played a good mix of new and old songs.

When I entered the hall there was a big curtain hanging in front of the stage and they were projecting a wall on it. The whole scenery was pretty flower power, there was bright sunlight and an old car in front of the wall, having graffiti sprayed all over it. As time went by, the wall got darker and it became night. In the middle of the wall, behind some plants, ome could the the MUCC logo. Before the show startet it became day again, but this time it wasn't as bright and at the end only the wall with the logo was left.
When the concert started, there was a "real" wall with the logo on it on stage, behind the band.
I am very bad at remembering setlists, but I was very happy about NIRVANA, Mr. Liar and Libra being played.
After a few songs Tatsurou started talking a bit. Amongst other things he talked about this show being the first live after their break besides the one at the hide Memorial Live. He also said that during their "break" (I actually don't concider three months a real break) they still made five new songs, two which where composed only by Miya abd three by the band. (I think they announced the three month as a break because so the two lives today and tomorrow can be seen as a fresh start after their 20th anniversary last year.)
They played all five new songs. The first one reminded me of T.R.E.N.D.Y because of its overall sound. The words "Free", "Sky", "Live" and "Death" appeared a few times on the wall and where partbof the chorus. The second one had electro elements in it and the performance was pretty cool! The stage was all black and the spotlights covered the members in yellow, lila and green lights. The third one was a rock ballad with strings. I don't know how to describe the fourth one, but it was a mix of a lot of different genres. I had to smile a bit because it felt pretty MUCC with all of the genres being thrown together. The fifth one was pretty hard rock/metal, the kanji 死 for death appeared on the wall a few times and during most of the performance there was 自己嫌悪 (self-hatred) written on the wall.
During the encore they talked again briefly about hide and Satochi imitated Yoshikis pose on his drum set, standind on the chair and making the X mark with his arms. Sadly the reaction from the audience wasn't as crazy as I had hoped it would be. lol I guess I was the only one appreciating the X mark and his imitation. lol
When the encore was over there was a lot of smoke and Satochi and his whole drum set were sliding to the front of the stage. I was pretty confused at first. Then, when the members had left, there was a very loud sounds and suddenly the wall began to fall apart. At the end there were only a few bricks at both sides left, the other bricks were all over the stage. Where the wall with the logo had been there was a new logo. Still the samw shape, but it now reminded me of a snake and was all grey/silver, was a big red eye in the middle, that was starting to glow.
I thought this was a very nice ending for a concert representing a new start. =) Even though taking photos wasn't allowed, I hastly took one of the logo, it isn't that good but in case anyone is interested, I can upload it.
Overall I was very very statisfied with the whole concert. Good song choice, members being energetic and definitely having fun and Tatsurous vocals being on point! Also I found Tatsurou's whole outfit and styling pretty sexy. :P

sound like a good show. None of the shows I've seen had such fancy theatrics but to be honest, now that mucc has fallen into the trap of cool sounding into, unnecessary growls, then generic chorus, it's hard to be excited for new songs butI still hope the new songs have a different sound.

Just read my review again, sorry for all the typos, I was writing it on my phone directly after the show. xD

I also went to the show on Tuesday. The broken wall was still on stage and they played a different set, only the new songs were performed again. My personal highlights were Saishuu ressha, ageha, Falling down, G.G. and ENDER ENDER.

MUCC brings a single with four new songs each written by a member. All the track are arranged by Miya. Limited edition comes with a M card featuring photos shot at the concert "MUCC 2018 - Fukkatsu no Yoru - The WALL-CRIMEorDESTROY-" and interview footage.

I just bought the limited edition at Tower Records. I have to say the artwork for the cover is pretty nice! You basically have to destroy the barrier tape to open the CD. After doing that the cover looks lile the other one, just in red and with four holes, through which you can see one eye of every member.

The footage you can download is cool too. There is one video from the concert of the 6.9. this year. Tatsuro, Miya and Yukke were fooling poor Satochi, by playing a new song during the encore Yukke just wrote the evening before, but Satochi didn't know of yet. It was very funny to watch how the poor guy asked the staff which song it was the three others were starting to play and the staff kept replying "Terrace", which seemed to confuse him even more. :laugh
The bonus track, that can be found on the single, is the live recording of this song amd if you look on the inside of the OBI of the single, there is a picture of a terrace and the lyrics are also written there.

Also there are a lot of photos from the two Tokyo shows at Zepp this year, as well as short clips of the wall collapsing from the first date. Since I went to both shows, having those photos and clips is a nice memory.

Since it's my favourite out of the new songs, I translated Sei to shi to kimi. I had a problem to translate the part directly after the FREE, SKY, LIVE, DEAD part and am not sure if I got it 100% right, but other than that it should be fine.

Although my favorite song on the album is Timer, this is the second best song on the album. I do like it's lyrics. It reminds me of the feeling of my favorite poem "the going" by Thomas Hardy. Thanks for the translation!

I'm going to try to go to the Paris date if everything works out. I was planning my first trip to France for April or March, and the tour announcement has made me solidify my dates of travel. It would be my first time seeing them live, so it feels like I perfect chance. I truly love this band.

Damn that's cool! I remember seeing them live when Shion came out. Really, really loud and awesome.

They are a great live band, I wish you lots of fun!
Maybe I will go to one of the dates in Germany, in case Yumsushi joins me. :laugh

Regarding their new album, their is a "Special" on their YouTube today in about an hour (9 pm JST). Can someone record it maybe and upload afterwards? That would be so great! I have to work since it's just 1 pm here in Germany. :cry
