Basically, they're there as previews for the concert interludes, haha. I LOVE most of her interludes. The only ones I usually can't stand are HAL's ECHO PIANOludes.

Blue, definitely listen to A Song for xx at least once!! Even if a lot of the songs aren't as good as some of her later works, the overall album is really sweet (and nostalgic, for anybody who knew Ayumi way back ^^). It shows an innocent side of Ayu that is long gone, and it's neat to look back on it. There are also a few really good, really catchy tracks on there (in my opinion). Like, I absolutely love poker face, FRIEND, Depend on you and, of course, A Song for xx. I also really like Trust, SIGNAL, As if... and Hana. Wishing is pretty, too. And POWDER SNOW. :yes ......Wow, I really like a lot of the tracks, actually, don't I? :O Yeah, this album totally owns LOVEppears, in my eyes. XD It's just her vocals.... :shakehead

i agree. imo, ASFXX is...awesome!! i wouldn't call it one of her better albums, but it certainly has a charm of it's own. the vocals don't really bother me, but i can see how they would be a bit hard to listen to for others, lol.

NEXT LEVEL is good, and I don't see how it could'nt be 'Ayu-ish' :shrug.
It's experimental as RAINBOW and LOVEppears in my opinion. And it's different from her previous albums, so it's Ayu-ish lol.
Oh and why people dislike ASFXX so much? Ok her vocals weren't good as now, but as a debut album it's really good imo.

When the previews came out I loved Sexy little things and disliked Lady Dynamite. After hearing them in full I love Lady Dynamite and don't really care for Sexy little things. lol

And let me just say... I love LD PV. Sure, my hand clasped over my mouth with the random urinal scene, but I adored it. Especially when Ayu was latched onto whomever-dancer and going insane with the music. LOL

And as somebody mentioned earlier, I couldn't help but get a Koda Kumi "Taboo" vibe from this PV. Not that it's a bad thing; they both executed this club-style very well, but it's definitely about time Ayu does a PV like this. Just why couldn't Sparkle have gotten this PV instead?!?!

And is anybody hoping that she'll bring in songs like Sparkle and alterna to this year's concert to tie in with the album's theme? I sure hope so.

Just watched "Lady Dynamite". It was all fun PV. It's damn obvious Kaz directed it LOL. all ayu's actions are like so overacted. hahahhhaha. But she's really gorgeous! I can see it's another sexy touchy touchy performance in her tour. coupled with Sexy Littke Things both are gonna be a hit. Like rollin' and Sparkle. or maybe STEP you and Ladies Night from (m)u tour.

Next Level grown up on me. At first i was "meeh, bad album"
But in fact i dont really enjoys EnergizE (i like it, i dont see anything wrong with "happy cuteish song" in this) but for me, this song is just "too combinated" (it's hard to say what i mean...) The whole Next Level feels like... "It's not complete album yet"... The songs are fine, but i can feel the empty can somewhere inside... (dont count Sparkle, lol, one of best songs ever.)

I feel similar with Lady Dynamite (but PV brightened a song a lot)

It's all in relation to Rock'n'Roll Circus though, haha.

I actually feel like people will probably be extremely excited for this album only to have their expectations only slightly met by the album.

I hope it doesn't suffer from the gauntlet of "disappointed" folk like the albums before it (MY STORY through NEXT LEVEL)....

i was so hyped for the album but as the songs leaked little by little, i slowly started losing interest. which is the complete opposite of what should happen and what has happened with everyone else. xD

so i'm trying not to have my expectations hit the ceiling so that i'm completely satisfied when i hear the album for the first time. i'm only watching the PVs a certain amount of times and no song is going into my ipod, i'd be too tempted, lol.

My excitement is off and on. Every time something new comes out, I get SUPER excited for the album, and then as time passes and no news comes out, I go back to feeling like the album isn't worth getting excited for. :yes But right now I'm super excited, especially for Last Links. :heart

I like this album so much more than NEXT LEVEL.

I think that the nice thing about this album is the massive amount of different styles of the newtracks. GUILTY and NEXT LEVEL, at least to me, follow certain patterns (with some exceptions, of course), but it doesn't seem to be the case this time. Those two are the albums I like the least from her, but this time I'm very very happy with this album, but there's more to expect, since I only listened to the singles and saw the PVs.

And it's actually strange to think some people consider Secret a mess. I think it flows so well (except for It was that seemed to be thrown in the middle).

It was' awkwardness makes complete sense considering it was meant for (miss)understood and was scrapped due to the GEO (?) involvement.

I wish she'd tell us what other tracks were supposed to be on that album before GEO became a part of it, haha.

I love how Ayumi creates such changes in her musical career and this is no exception. :)

I do have that feeling towards NL as well. There's something missing (probly part of the feeling?), and I find out the feeling of "it's not enough" after the end of curtain call. Still it's a really good album.

I actually find it's ok to place It was in Secret. Doesn't hurt the flow much. The funny thing is.. I feel the "emptiness" (or incompleteness) in Secret as well. It's just similar to NL that I feel something was missing in the album but in a different perspective tho. For NL, I feel that the album should be a bit longer and I think ayu can extend a bit more. On the other hand, an element (dunno what it is, just my feeling) was missing. Hmmn weird me..

yeah exactly, i almost lost interest when i heard first chakuuta (omg, this is boring blablabla) but when i saw the raw pv leak for SLT i was like "omgomgomgomg" again.

As odd as this may seem, I didn't like Secret as a whole package, yet I loved many of the individual songs on that album. I am... on the other hand is pure perfection to me. If it weren't for, as someone called this single earlier, Sun****, then RnR Circus would probably get second place or something in my list of favourite albums. As of now, I have a feeling it'll be lagging right behind Duty...

and GUILTY was "meh" for me too... something missing there, and one of the boring songs ever - called "GUILTY" (such a great name for a not good song xP)

The only albums I can listen to from beginning to end are RAINBOW, (miss)understood, Secret, GUILTY and NEXT LEVEL. I think Ayu's flow got better as she went on. I'm interested in seeing how RnRC will flow! :D

I don't understand how so many people can hate "Sunrise" as a song. It's almost undoubtedly one of her most advanced and futuristic yet upbeat happy songs ever.

Sparkle's electronic and amazing, with a neat PV to accompany it. Sunrise has none of those..to me it sounds like it's been done before, recycled if you will. Generally speaking though, all "winter" and "summer" sounding songs are too similar and unoriginal.

Wow...Sexy little things PV is great....I like it for what it is....something weird and artistic...and very different for Ayu. It's not my taste though but at least she's really branching out here. The song is ok...not what I expected but then again...so wasn't the PV. I can see where the Gaga comparisons come from but honestly Ayu's been doing these weird PVs since a long way back in her career. Yeah the opening kinda freaked me out. Lady Dynamite....you know...still another great PV. I just don't like the song again....Microphone, SLT, and Lady Dynamite all had the best Ayu PV's I think in a while....but the songs aren't that....powerful? They're not bad....they just feel quickly made maybe....like unfinished. I don't know. I do think Don't Look Back judging only by the preview (havent seen the full)....Mixed feelings overall. Perhaps some obscure album track will become my favorite.

I think DLB is the "Sparkle" of this album in the sense that "I can't believe how amazing this song is wtf!" But I find DLB better than Sparkle in creativity and PV concept. :yes

I think Sunrise is just too long and the arrangement is all wrong for my taste. :yes I also really hate the drums in it. I do like the song overall but I just wish it was on NEXT LEVEL instead of R'n'R Circus.

For some reason, half this album gives me NEXT LEVEL vibes and the other half gives me ASFXX vibes which is really... strange.

I liked the SLT PV for the most part. The song is very catchy, somewhat different, and the PV was cute-creepy.

DLB was very powerful. I loved every bit of it, and now I'm starting to wonder if Ayu really has breakdowns like that about her past?

So, Kazuyoshi did LD? I'm extremely disappointed in the PV. I wish she would have removed Kazuyoshi completely from any of the 4 PVs that we've seen, or atleast had him not direct LD. :irked I loved the song name and was hoping for a PV that was... well, dynamite.

I agree with the fireworks stuffs :). I love Carols because of gorgeous Ayu and the merry-go-round alone in the woods. When it spins while she's singing it gave me this timeless feeling, which is why I love it sooo much. The theater scene was boring though, and I remembered that I fell asleep when I first watched it :laugh

I'm gonna make a new fanmade PV for LD when the song is released or PV ripped. :laugh I hated the PV so much.

The PV made me like the song more, but... meh. The video was okay. It's my least favorite out of the four new PVs.

Okay, after just re-watching the PVs for CAROLS and Curtain Call, I need to alter my prior statement. I still prefer CAROLS over Curtain Call, but I've concluded that while yes, the latter's PV is quite nice (although she is initially walking way too fast for my liking), it is the song that ruins it all for me. Yes, yes, it's beautiful lyrically and whatnot. But I don't like the arrangement. But hey, she tends to throw .ne of those songs like that at the end of some albums, such as untitled ~for her~ and from what I've heard, meaning of Love.

Oh well. I must say though that HEAVEN is her best one-shot PV imo, regardless of the random technical errors with the 'ghosts'.

The ghosts in HEAVEN, while they were translucent, when there is when a ghost standing behind another one, their translucency isn't..."layered" I guess. You just see the wall behind them. That pretty much ruined the PV for me too. :/

^ Talking about technical errors, I remember spotting one in Microphone pv, the beginning when there's a rewind of Ayu smashing the charcoal guitar. I can see the plastic panel in the video, which is kind of a spoiler to me.

I just realised that Ayu looks like Fergie in the gif o.O

I didn't really notice the "layered" part. All I know is that they were translucent until they walked behind ayu, they became "solid". It's quite an unforgiven technical error. :mischief
