exactly thats why whatever nikki say is never accurate . i strop looking at the nikki prediction since every time the number are either too low or too high .

She'll get number 1, I don't think there is any doubt about that. What I am more interested in is the actual sales. That Ninki is not good compared to her past ones. But sometimes Ninki is just crap though.

Yeah, considering the biggest competition is UVERworld which has never sold more than 200k copies of an album and that AKB's sales are dropping like mad, we have nothing to fear.

I am hoping she'll at least be able to clear 200k in the first week. Considering that NEXT LEVEL only had a slight drop from GUILTY's real first week (should be around 30k) I say she has good chances. If that happens the album will have good chances of getting close to NL numbers.

Didn't they only poll 300 people at first? But it has been changed to 400-500 now. Dunno if it's true lol I just remember reading something like that some time ago

I seem to remember the same thing as aloopy - that a couple of years ago the number was raised. I can't remember where I read that from, but it would certainly make sense.

i would hope it sells more. album sales just seem to decrease in general for some artists i think though. even everyone thought its better than NL. anyway i would hope for more than this haha . . the past predictions are a bit. . .strange.

That's only first week sales. On the second week (and third week combined?), RAINBOW beat KinKi Kids' F album (ending their album streak :P) and topped the chart again :).

She is #1 of course, but i hope better sales!!!!!

I don't know what they use, but they tend to say "400 people were polled" but sometimes numbers can climb into the high 500s if it's Arashi or something. I really don't know HOW / WHY that hapens, but I guess it'd be better to say that these NINKI numbers are a sort of index that comes from some other figure. Like if there's a high percentage of old people, their "yay I will buy it" counts as more... or something, haha.

The way they do it (I think) is that they have 80 people in each age group (teens, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s,) and there are 40 males and 40 females in each group. If Ayu isn't such a big hit with most of the people, you can't really expect her to get a high ranking. It just depends on who is polled and what their preferences are, I suppose, unless it's an artist that EVERYONE loves like Arashi or Mr. Children...
