SHE WAS CUTE!! but so different from now

Never seen this, I've only seen that other interview video when she was like 15 or so.

Wow her presence back then, she seems like an innocent teenager. Well mannered, her voice is much softer and higher pitched than it is now. I think she had a bad ass rebellious stage though :) its just the image Iget from NOTHING FROM NOTHING.

She still looks the same to me, just some elements of her face differ like her teeth. Her face looks flatter too bahaha but I think that's just me.

It hard to believe that that young girl grew up to become the woman we all respect today~Comparing her interview appearance to the all glammed up Ayu in our icons its a wonder how much people can change/acheive in their lifetimes. I mean she looks like any other commoner here.

yeah,that always amazed me,how people can change so much,but thats is life rite? what ever it is,i'm just still amazed by this and can you see how naive she looks there,i like the part shes unpacking her luggage :P now shes super rich diva,she has all people doing her stuff for her ;)

would be nice if they make a new documentary of Ayu now,i want to see it as shes more popular now :)

The show is called "OTTE! GABURI", and it was broadcast in 1994. This episode dealt with "behind the scenes of entertainment production", showing up and coming talent trying to hold on to their status as entertainers, trying to get their careers rolling.

In this video, Ayu (at 15) is staying at the home of Masahisa Aizawa (president or vice president of Ayu's talent agency Sun Music... I think he was president at the time, but I know he's VP now, as of the whole Noriko Sakai thing that happened recently) and his wife Teruko.

It starts with him asking Ayu if it was cold out, she says it was. KaNNa was another up-and-coming aidoru staying there (they're both freeloading, basically), so they walk by her on the way to the room where Ayu's gonna be staying.

Ayu says "My goal is to become a big star... even if I get nervous or fall down, I'll always be optimistic." (the second part of that is the youtube video's title)... then Teruko teaches Ayu the customs of the household as far as dinnertime and stuff, and then they're all sitting together.
