Ah....most of my CDs are broken
I broke one because I sat on it and didn't realize I had it in my bag....and I only brought it like 10 minutes before I got in the car @_@
And the rest have cracks in them cause the customs people at the airport just had to open my luggage, break all of my CDs, or else their life just won't be complete

I used to care a lot for that once I started collecting CDs, to the point of being obsessive. I take good care of my CDs and rarely pick them, but I just don't really care anymore if a case is broken or something. I'm glad I grew out of that obsession :yes There are far more important things in life to give a damn about.

I broke my (m)u-cd with opening it.. for the first time.
... Wow, I have never ever cursed so extreme like that day.

SURREAL__RAINBOW 27th October 2010 05:19 AM

I used to get really stressed if I ever received a broken CD case or something, but with time I'm kind of letting go a little... As long as the CD is okay and the case not too damaged :shrug cracks don't bother me as much anymore lol

Which made me really sad once was my Uraayu photobook that I have. I accidentally ripped the cover page while looking for it :(

^ ouw, why?

I'm so OC when it comes to my Jpop CDs especially new stuff. I panic when I accidentally drop them!

:/ The only time I ever break cd cases is if I accidentally step on them or something...and that's rare.

^ I got to say, love your new set. :laugh Very wintery.

CD Cases..? Well, I try my best to look after them, but as long as the CD plays it's all good. My SECRET album is scratched and a little broken since my little brother got his hands on it in 2008, but my You were.../BALLAD single is undamaged and so is Rock n' Roll Circus. :yes My other albums are okay too~ Just SECRET and an album of Anberlin..

I was upset at first when I found SECRET damaged, but now I'm just happy I can see listen to the CD and play the DVD, plus the photo-booklet is fine.

Interesting, I've never broken any of my album or single CD cases and I usually carry them with me somewhere. I also open them a lot, but I pay a lot of attention to them so they don't even get a scratch. I usually keep them in their original plastic seal they come with.

Some of my older CD's have cracks on the case because I was pretty careless with them when I was younger. Now that I've started buying the much much more expensive J-pop CD's (with my own hard earned money) I'm super careful with them. I flipped the **** out one night when I realized I had left my Perfume CD in the home computer after ripping it to Itunes, luckily I found it without scratches in the large CD container. My brothers are extremely careless with anything's in disc format (well actually, they're careless with EVERYthing) so I'm seriously petrified of them touching my CD's lol.

I leave them in the box and bubble wrap they came in and I'm even starting to leave some in the wrapper. I hope I can get my hands on some slip covers and maybe a special storage container to keep them in because my current method is taking up too much space in my room lol. It'll be temporary though cuz I really want to have them on display but that'll require purchasing shelving or a larger bookcase which is out of budget atm. I'll probably end up just getting a new TV stand and storing them there. :laugh

My CD's are like new, because I rarely use them, but I wouldn't be too happy if I broke one of the expensive ones.

mcluva420 6th November 2010 01:09 AM

I tend to drop things a lot ;_; and that includes some of my CDs.. so I just leave my CDs in the stereo and the cases on a shelf so I can occasionally look at them ^_^

Paparazzi 6th November 2010 07:59 PM

Maybe you guys should try being careful. I have tons of CDs from many different countries and none of them have ever broken.

good for you. most of us are human and make mistakes and happen to be clumsy once in a while. A lot of my cds have cracks in them, annoyed me, but it's pointless crying over spilled milk. It's all accidental of course, or they arrived in the mail already broken, but I don't freak over it. my life doesn't revolve around them like some people's...

AyumiSEASONS 7th November 2010 03:58 AM

I hate when you get a CD that has a damaged case. :/

My copy of White light/violet sauce by Namie Amuro had a crack in it when I got in the mail (Yesasia order) and my copy of Memorial Address was completely broken when I got it, Like I could pull it apart into half. I got the CD/DVD version from Play-asia.

Other than that, I never had a broken CD unless something happened (like when I lived at my parents and my brother got his grubby little hands on it and ruined them) I still have many many CD's to replace because of him. :/ and some video games. He lost my collectors edition of Manga Carta, and spilt orange juice on my copy of kingdom hearts, because he'd go into my room and get them while I was at school, no matter how many times I said "DONT TOUCH THESE" he just wouldn't listen.
