*sigh* sad entry

koumori 5th February 2011 05:50 PM

Thanks for the translation Misa :heart

Misa-chan 5th February 2011 05:53 PM

Why is everyone thinking that she's been crying/sad??? I definitely translated her entry as saying "Were YOU crying?" She's not the one upset here...

Confused.

The way it's written, "were you crying?" "I was"... myself, and others, are reading this as a question, and then her saying she was crying too. But now you've said this, is the "I was" related to the "right behind you"?

It definitely reads like the one upset is Ayu!

Thank you for translating~ ♥

I guess it's because the entry says

"Were you crying?
I was,
....."

EDIT: haha, someone was faster than me. It's because of the ",". If it wasn't there I would read it like "I was" refers to the "right behind...".

My heart was crying when I read this. It does sound like some song lyrics. Very sweet.

Peruseusu 5th February 2011 11:28 PM

thx ^^

lol, i dont get it ;__; thanks for the translation~

I think she must have been upset. And I think she is asking if anyone in Team Ayu was upset today too.

Bad Wolf 6th February 2011 03:08 AM

ohh I see. "Were you crying? I was right behind you." ;_; It seems very sweet, really. A person is upset and walking ahead/alone and Ayu (or the speaker in this case, if it's a lyric) is saying that she's "right behind" (re: near) whoever is in tears. So they aren't alone...

That's very sweet. It reminds me of a dream I had...

Kazeyomi 6th February 2011 03:29 AM

Aww I thought it was a sad entry too. Luckily it's not. It's really sweet, maybe it's from a new song :luv2.

Thanks Misa-chan

Yeah.

The way you translated it makes me think that she was wondering if the person in front was crying too, because she was.

But maybe that person couldn't notice because she was behind, so she somehow told him/her what was happening through these words.

Maybe there's confusion because the "I was," is separated from the "Right behind you". So it seems like she was saying that she was crying behind him/her. Get it? lol

Lol, ok, I understand now. Sorry for creating the misunderstanding.

The whole message is supposed to read, "Were you crying? I was right behind you." But because ayu split the sentences into 3 lines, it gives the impression that she's the one crying. But in the original Japanese, it's very clear that the "I was" is linked to the 3rd line, not the 1st. Sorry for all the confusion. :tired

Bad Wolf 6th February 2011 03:16 PM

It's okay Misa :hearts A lot of it also has to do with pacing of sentences in English, which are tricky and annoying anyway O_o So no worries :D

This entry is just so pretty <3 I keep going back to it...

Awww, thank you Misa
