Hahaha, well I just listened to it for the first time after you mentioning it. I mean, it wasn't great, but I definitely didn't think she sounded bad (especially for an idol). I've always thought Acchan was a pretty bad singer after hearing her part in Skirt, Hirari. She sounds great in Sakura no ki ni Narou but it's hardly a vocally demanding song.

You don't think her fans think she's gorgeous and has this great personality and all though? If not for that then I'm not sure why she's so popular. Yuko at least is funny, Tomochin has that whole sassy ***** thing going on, and so on. I guess I just don't see what about Acchan is so great and that's why I feel she's overrated: because there seems to be no justifiable reason for so many people to like her.

Makes me wish I could go back and time and become an AKB48 fan back when they cared about making quality stage songs.

^It's nothing like that at all. All of the AKB48 subunits are signed with different labels (something H!P needs to seriously take note of) DiVA and French Kiss are both signed with Avex so it wouldn't be surprising at all to see them there.

Believe it or not, Acchan's total plainness is EXACTLY why her fans love her. XD Idols are usually these beautiful girls with big personalities that seem a bit untouchable so the very existence of Acchan's idol career goes against that long standing idea. It's.... refreshing in a weird way. I personally like her and think she's gorgeous but I can definitely see where you're coming from as I'm usually a fan of the types you've mentioned and would normally completely ignore someone like Maeda.

Not too long ago I read a post on S48 that a member of MAXIMUM THE HORMONE was approached by this girl for an autograph and he didn't realize until later that it was Atsuko Maeda. I mean, how many frontgirls of the most popular group in their country can get away with that? :roflmao

^Nothing to do with independence. They are still manged by AKS and they still have their separate companies to represent them. They have different recording labels because it means someone else to pay the bills. xD

How interesting. I've never really thought about it that way. I mean, even if she is plain, I've still always thought she was a very pretty girl, so I guess it still surprises me for her to be thought of as being so plain (since there are plenty of pretty girls with blah personalities that I feel people still find unapproachable). That's really cute that guy didn't even recognize her though.

Also, DDFHGNXBFSGDFFV THOSE COVERS!!! Even if they are just Ponyshu 2.0 (which the song is already sorta), I still totally love them! I seriously love them all, so I almost don't care which one I get. I usually choose which version of the single to get by the B-side (and PV) I prefer, so now it will be based on that entirely and not even on the cover. Good to know :D

I like all the covers cept the obvious (hope the theater version sells like 2 copies). And noooooooooooo. God no. They'd better not let career-killer #1 touch AKB48. Maybe send the research students and the useless subgroups like SKE to them, yes, but not the main group.
