No one knows for sure, it's just assumptions. Half of the theories are based on lyrics translated from Japanese to English...not to be taken literally or seriously at all.

So Misa is updated her blog, thank you for that!<3

Nope. She had mentioned in the TA message that she had gone completely deaf in that ear:

Translation by HiruNoKaze:

My frank resolution for this year.

The truth is, last year, I had an ear check-up, my diagnosis being that my left ear has completely lost all function and that there is no treatment.

Even so, I want to keep being a singer.

That's why I'll keep singing as long as this remaining right ear works, to its limit.

I won't quit.

I won't make excuses.

As a professional, I will sing the best songs for you*.

I don't really like the word "ganbaru," but...

I will ganbaru**!!!!! At all costs!!!!!!!!!

Until that day, someday...

I don't know if you are talking about the "healing" or the actual deaf... But she confired it in 2008.

About Misa's translations... she runs a blog dedicated to TA posts. (Well, among other Ayu-related things.) Ayu once mentioned that she feels like TA should stay within TA...so Misa's TA entries are password-protected. Ask Misa for the link and password.

Well, I'm already aware of that, but I was wondering where Misa was because she hasn't updated for quite a while, but at least I checked the RSS feeds that she has it now updated...

dreamlover13 23rd September 2012 05:26 AM

Who died? Ayu just tweeted "R.I.P."

polka-dot-jewel 23rd September 2012 05:35 AM

Gomi also tweeted RIP, and Ayu retweeted that. Just based off of Google translation, in the tweet before that she mentioned something about the rain (as did Gomi) but also mentioned a lady who tried to stay strong...hmmm :/

TeamAyu2004 23rd September 2012 05:50 AM

sadness, I wonder who it was.

Bigtop 23rd September 2012 07:01 AM

Gosh, I don't understand why...

SURREAL__RAINBOW 23rd September 2012 07:09 AM

Ahh :( I wonder now if she was talking about this person in her English tweet from a few days ago...

Since Gomi knew that lady, it must've been someone who worked with them(?), maybe another dancer from years ago :O

I hope they are alright :(

saigodansu 23rd September 2012 07:43 AM

I don't think they're connected since the only english parts of today's tweets was RIP

That makes no sense tbh, she doesn't have to keep on tweeting in English to keep in context :shrug

She's becoming bilingual and we bilingual people can switch as much as we want in one sentence or when talking about something in particular.

Yoake 23rd September 2012 10:32 AM

For me they're totally connected. Her words didn't sound really happy to the most of us. Maybe she'll write a TA entry.

saigodansu 23rd September 2012 11:04 AM

Compared with other times she's tweeted in english, they usually relate to her foreign fans or atleast to friends in the U.S. or UK.

Her & Gomi's tweets seem to be related to a mutual japanese friend.

You could be right about them being related, but my opinion is that if they were, the tweet in english would have been in japanese like 99% of her tweets are. She doesn't usually switch between languages because she's bilingual, she only uses english when trying to speak to someone who only speaks english or atleast as their primary language like she does with Timmy.

happiholic★ 23rd September 2012 02:07 PM

If the tweet was about someone dying, maybe she originally posted about it in English for a reason, like she wanted to be able to express her feelings without a ton of Japanese fans asking to explain it. But, I'm not sure the two are related, so meh.

Japanese people know the expression "RIP"
