Download iTunes -> open the iTunes Store -> change your country settings to Japan -> check the Singles & Album Top 200 OR -> enter the J-Pop category -> check the J-Pop Singles & Albums Top 200

Crazy jumps! Song 4 u is on 3(!!!) on the J-Pop Charts and 11 on the overall charts. You & Me and A SUMMER BEST dropped a bit on both charts, Party Queen fell off completely, but A BEST 2 WHITE and LOVEppears entered the J-Pop Charts again.

It's now #9 on the overall chart

What do those points mean exactly?

They are pretty accurate sales figures
1411 are more or less the digital copies the song sold on iTunes between the last two updates.

are those numbers downloads?? or something else?

Oh that's pretty good then! iTunes is obviously not as big as physical singles, but if the top 10 sell between 1000 and 4000 copies in a day it's still rather good.

Just wanted to chime in with Amazon.jp information.

Seems that the song is doing well on Amazon. It was #1 for a while but is currently floating in the top 5/top 10 for singles.

Ohhh yes.

Those numbers can't be accurate, iTunes has a decent share of the Japanese digital market (obviously not the majority) but they surely sell more than that. It says on the page

Ayu is not far from beating EXILE. When she does she will be 1st on the j-pop list! :D

Edit: So within 17 hours hours, the sales went from 1411 to 1797 which is a 22,7 sales per hour
Exile had 6,7 sales per hour.
So if this continues steadily, Ayu will be on the top of the j-pop list after 14 hours from now. Lets cross our fingers?
