Make-up is alright when you want to emphasize your features, but i don't think it should be used in a way that it makes you look like a totally different person. And to me Ayu till these covers came out wasn't looking like herself whatsoever.
Abusing make-up leads to no good, you can end up looking worse than you actuallly do. And lots of girls these days are getting exactly that.

Me personally, i'd take these kind of pics like LOVE covers of Ayu anytime instead of any of the one's she's done through these past few months, they all were bearable, but horrible.....:innocent

I agree with you. I really don't like it when girls wear overly dramatic make up when they can look so much hotter with less. But there are girls who can take both, look hot with less and more, actually i think ayu is one of them. Especially when I look at A BEST 2 jacket covers and this one. One features heavy make-up and one minimum make up. Though, I've had enough of the heavy make up ayu now, so its really refreshing to get covers like this one.

We actually have etiquettes over here in school, girls who wear dramatic over the top make up, get send home. :p

I like those covers (!) but they are heavily photoshopped and no-one can tell what sort of makeup she is actually wearing for you can add any makeup effects with photoshop (lipgloss, eyeshadow, longer and more defined lashes, colour of eyes, blush etc).

^well she told herself that she has eyelash extentions, so they are actually there in real lol

C+R+E+AYUMI 15th October 2012 12:32 PM

we don't need foundation when we have PHOTOSHOP

Shirlaay 15th October 2012 06:28 PM

I think the covers have definitely been photoshopped but I still love them!♥

I know right :yes

I don't think any artist would put out a cover without even some light retouching.

BlackSilence 16th October 2012 11:07 PM

^ it is definitelly retouched, they need to keep the perfect illusion idea for everyone.

Well, its all about finding that good in between. Like I said, I don't want pictures of my favorite stars looking the way they do when they roll out of bed, but I don't want a make up monster either. But, if I had to choose I would take the latter.

Delicious n Bold 17th October 2012 04:05 AM

^ although, a 'just got out of bed' concept wouldn't be bad... If it was the main focus.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 18th October 2012 05:17 AM

Ugh can't get over how much they remind me of HEAVEN...and that's a GREAT thing!

TeamAyu2004 18th October 2012 07:11 PM

Well, they never said it wasn't retouched... just that its no make-up... which is a little misleading.

I can only assume that when they say no make-up it just means the heavy HEAVY makeup that stars wear.

Kanzaki 19th October 2012 03:15 AM

As I thought, minimum makeup.
I believe the no foundation thing. I have skin like hers, problem-free and all. It's possible. And with a bit of photoshop airbrushing, very believable. There's a touch of lipgloss there though.

channy 19th October 2012 03:51 AM

I want AcneAyu for a change. Flawlessness gets boring after 15 years :innocent

Yes, I do vote for a more uneven, shiny, crusty, infamous, unlovable, grocery-store-cosmetic-brand complexion :)

Delicious n Bold 19th October 2012 04:48 AM

^ me too
it'll make me feel better, like give me a confidence boost (and others with acne).
Ayu must always be very stressed and yet her skin is perfect... lucky.
