I can't say this is a sad song, it's more like a determination song or encouraging song like how beautiful you are. I got those kind of images as well, someone walking down the road under the grey sky, looking down slowly and start looking up but doesn't have any confidence, thinking along the way, looking for the answers, a lonely person song.

This is why I love ayu songs, it's not just about melody and singing technique or good skills, but more about feelings.
