No, it's different. Long long time ago, Japanese people pronounced the particle as "wo", but "wo" changed to "o" about 300 years ago. So even now, the hiragana of particle "o" is different from that of common "o". But the official pronounciation is the same. And singers and the younger generation tend to pronounce this particle as "wo" nowadays, maybe because of emphasis.
