My very poorly translated version -.- (even though I know masa's is coming up ^.^* I thought I'd give it a shot)

Note I basically just translated words. I only got ONE sentence down.

Uneasiness and certainly with sleep with x late at night
Very sad dream x x of memory
The/that morning premonition is silence defeats in order to
X telephone x reality of x and x
Heart with x scar x frequently
You are alone wanted with x

Goodbye x tragic death place x x
Eternity of parting x
-
I am with you surely x very much
Only once x x

It should be the ending of sadness/grief is x x
Season x x coldess x x with x however

X x forget x city x of x light
My change with this year is that x x x
But/because too much dreams of x of x
Yet sadly x x trifled because

Goodbye x one’s last moment of words even x
Parting of x
Disagreed extent thought notice
X
-
only once x x

Why x last of one’s last moment until is it so
Memories only of x

*

This is only a dream of a continuation of a tale
I am still x x x only and a move

^.^** I'm so embarassed with my translation.... it's so badd..

voltron 17th December 2003 05:56 AM

The last line is something like:
"this is only the tale of the continuation of a dream
I said, but i am not yet waking up"

That means that Ayu had a dream, and it seems to be reality now, and she can't believe it, so she's hoping it's only a continuation of her dream, it's only the story of what happened in her dream, that it's not real. She's saying that's she's still dreaming, she couldn't have woken up.

Very pretty lines.

Another one I liked was "anata wa hitori hoshi ni natta"
I like to translate this as "Only you became a star" but that's almost a figurative translation.

This is one of Ayu's most well written songs. She has an indirect way of saying that this person has passed away.
