It's been a long time since I heard any new song from Gackt and I didn't keep up with his news for a while. But when I was in Japan last month I saw a truck promoting his latest album which got me excited. Sadly I didn't get the chance to buy his album though.

Anyway, I listened to "Lulling" and it's addicting <3

Here is my attempt at writing the lyrics:

Kimi dake no boku de iru kara Hmm. I hope it's in the same vein as Kimi Ga Matteiru Kara. Just... just because I want another song like Kimi Ga Matteiru Kara. :laugh

I didn't know about it either until just now. But whoever drew that cover must've been drawing for a long time. So detailed. They did great!

That is very true. Im more a fan of his dramatic songs but kimi no tame ni dekiru koto is too good. So, yeah, either way would definitely be good. I guess it'll be a coin flip. Looking forward to it either way. :P

It's been a while since I listened to a new release (the last one was Ghost?!). This new song sounds like some of his work but I didn't really liked. It's very animeish. :/

The song is typical GACKT though, for his standart now. Another one of those.
i cannot believe i'm gonna say it, but I'm craving for something super simple from him, like just an acoustic guitar and his vocals, like Arittake no ai de or something similar. He's been doing the same thing for the past few years. I still cannot give him up, i still have hope that he will shine again, hence why i keep complaining that he's not impressing me anymore. lol

But this performance in 2014, for example, is a middle term between simple and over the top and I still love it.

Gave my friend who's trained vocalist to listen to G's Seki Ray live from the early tours. She said he's got strong vocals, and he has really beautiful low notes. Surprisingly, she said he sounds like a folk singer, that his vibrato is coming from his throat not his chest, which is exactly in that style as well (now i know why i sometimes feel like something is missing, it's the other kind of vibrato!). Then it hit me - he does have enka background! I myself completely forgot about it until she mentioned that lol! I love when people know what they're talking about.

GACKT actually took Ayu's SEASONS and ran with it lol. As far as i could get out of this from various places this is going to be a promo thing for the Nestlé's newest coffee machine. And apparently have filmed a music video for the cover of the song which is going to be out on the first day of the new year.

I was dying when i saw him do the song live and would've killed for a studio version. I really hope he does release this is some format, even if it's just digital.
