I have to agree here. He's an up-and-comer dating the biggest selling solo artist in Japanese history. Ayu is clearly in a position of power here, and I don't think this relationship is appropriate as long as he continues to work for her. I don't have any reservations about special treatment, but I do when it comes to the image fans and the media have of someone like Pei dating someone so high-profile. It smears their character, making them out to be a gold digger or a user.

He's waaay too young to be in this relationship. And Ayu should know better. And you guys should all know better too. It's no less risky or predatory when a woman dates a male subordinate than when a man dates a female subordinate. His entire career could be ruined by how Ayu handles things if they go sour. And I think it's clear, based on Ayu's two marriages, that she doesn't handle breakups and divorces very well at all.

Come on, Ayu, get out and meet someone with more financial and career independence. There are businessmen and investors and socialites and all sorts of other people with wealth and status all over that would be on more equal footing. Dating your employee is just ridiculous for someone in your position.

I don’t remember ever hearing rumors of her dating Timmy, do you? This has been floating around for a while now and I have to agree, this age/power dynamic is NOT a good look for her.

It’s inappropriate. Especially if she’s his boss and on her payroll. That’s a universal understanding no matter what country you’re from on the planet. It’s not okay. Plus she’s setting a bad example to her subordinates on her team (dancers, managers, band mates, etc) and at Avex. I don’t think her management nor the label steps in regarding her love life because she’s.....not as high of a ticket anymore in that it wouldn’t make that much of a difference to her career. Verses if it were like back in the late ‘90s to early ‘00s.

I don't agree at all to the "teen" and "power" comments. He's a big boy and he can make his own decisions.

As for the "dating the boss" thing... Well, we see American actors dating their co-stars all the time, so why shouldn't that happen in music? I don't know how much ayu is the boss of them all - I would believe she's more just part of the team. Also, how many other people do ayu actually meet, other than those she's the boss of? It would be sad if she should let a potential romance down just because they're working together - especially when it's probably limited how much time she spends with people who are not her coworkers. Also, it would be great for her to have someone she could actually "live in" with. If she finds someone outside her team, they'd probably not see each other very often.

And it it's dangerous for his career.. Well, it's his own choice.
