I'm the same way. I remember when I used programs like AudoGalaxy and thought "OMG... she has a load of songs! I'll never hear them all!!", but over time, I was able to hear them and hear all aspects of Ayu. So eventually, I did grow tired of Ayu in 2002, but whenever a new release was coming/released, my like for her grew again.

I get bored of some songs... but then I get in moods to listen to certain songs by her. It fluxuates.

Nope. I can listen to a different album or single if I'm bored of this one or that. I get bored with one and then move onto another one. But, by the same token, I listen to a good mix of artists. I've been listening to Cocco (www.cocco.co.jp) and Dreams Come True (www.dctgarden.com) lately in the car. I like especially "Tsuyoi Hakanai Monotachi" by Cocco and "Gekkou" and "Aisuru Kokoro" by Dreams Come True right now.

Not really. I really like Ayumi and the variety of stuff she has out, so there's always something to listen to and, of course, lots of variety. :cool

If I've listened to her stuff for a long time, some days I'll listen to her stuff non-stop and then the next day I'll be like "Ayu... no... that'll make me sick" but I still listen to her daily, but if I overload I can get tired of it ><

:D I dont get tiered of listening to ayumi, but I do get tiered of songs. I used to love Hanabi/Hanabi episode 2 and July 1st...=o I cant bare to listen to them now. I get new music almost every week (from friends, people on this message board, and just searching and buying cd's), so Im never listening to the same thing for too long, in theory. :headache

I listen to Ayu's CDs in rotation... and I guess I never get bored of her. It's weird. I listen to some indie local bands from time to time tho, but I always find myself going back to Ayu.

I still get goosebumps everytime she starts out evolution, just like the first time I heard her sing that.

Sometimes I get bored of certain songs 'Fly High' is one song I easily get bored of and i used to love it. Bit whenever I'm in the mood I'll listen to Ayu and enjoy every moment of it. If I get tired of listening to her I'll listen to a different artist for a while then go back to her.

See for me it seems as if her songs now sound all the same. And I was so disappointed when I saw the tracklisting. The only songs I can still listen to are "ourselves", "Free & Easy", "No Way To Say" and "appears" but all the others are so... I can't explain that.

Lol, I mean... it's the same thing for Aiko or... any of my fav singers. I have all their songs/videos, and none of them seems interresting sometimes. Or sometime, I used to dislike a song while almost 1 year (Boys and Girls) and then I listen to a Live performance and I fall in love with the song again. I change of favourite songs each 2-3 months or so.

Right now I'm kind of sick of her doing ballads all the time. Moments was seriously the most boring Ayu song I've ever heard. I much prefer her rock-leaning songs and more upbeat stuff.

hmmmm.... i love listening to ayu very much... i don't get tired of her very often... but sometimes i don't feel like listening to her as much as i normally would... but otherwise i can't get enough of ayu :P

sometimes i get a little tired of it, if i listen to all of ayu's stuff in like a week, and then i just take a break and go ELT crazy or take in a bit of boa or whoever, and then i go back to ayu, lol i always go back to ayu, she's my favourite singer for sure. i dun really wanna go back to when i just met ayu, coz i had a different view of her, coz the first photos i saw of her i didnt like, but now i feel like i kind of know her, i know she's deeper because i can hear it every time she sings, and i like sharing emotion when i listen to her songs. i couldnt do that back then. so i dont wanna go back

Funny, ayu is still my favorite artist, however I can't say her song hits me as much as the moment I discovered her. however I have to admit she still impresses me a lot: this year with the release of Moments which was really a powerful song in my opinion. A new discover always makes much more impact than something you are exposed chronically, I guess it's the biology of our body, an acute thing can either impresss you too much or make you refuse it but when exposed chronically you either get used with it and it loses all that special touch or if you didn't like it previously you start getting used to it and ends up enjoying things you used to dislike. Our lymbic system is pretty interesting :P That's one of the reasons a couple must try not to turn their lives into a boring routine or that might even spoil the strongest love bounds, since everything might turn just monochrome.
Right now i listen to hundreds different japanese artists, I guess it's a way to protect ayu from overexposion, lol.
