-just a random off topic a bit question, but if ayu left avex, would whoever signed her next (if she were re-signed), would she be aloud to put her latest songs on her next album under the new label? (ex. moments, inspire, etc.) and another thing, even if she stayed w/ avex w/out max matsuura, her music wouldnt be the same would it?

It might depend on whether she owns the masters of the songs. If she owns them, she might have the right to take them to another publisher. Then again, Avex might own all publishing rights altogether for her songs, whether she owns the masters or not. Of course, rights and such could be licensed out by Avex (much like they do with her European releases), but I don't think that would happen if she were to leave.

Another interesting point in regards to this could be unreleased songs. Say she recorded a new song a week ago, but ends up leaving Avex shortly. Since that song was produced under her time with Avex, she might not have the ability to release that song under a new label.

As for her music sounding differently without the guide of Max - I believe it was mentioned in another thread that he has stated before that Ayu is basically self-produced now, but I don't think we really know just how involved he is, so who knows if her music would see a drastic change or not.

nah, this is seriously crazy. AT LEAST half the members of ahs should be rejoicing about this tho with the amount of avex bashing i've seen here in the last haha, but i think if she is quitting avex, she should go with Max. the only reason she'll quit is because of max, so i highly doubt she'd move to a company like Sony.

and yes :yes Ayu is the #1 in avex.. anything she say or anything she does really affect the whole company's stocks so if max were to leave, it is likely that ayu is also leaving, in my opinion... but that makes sense right? and i dont think the others are able to make up for the losses right?
