She did sing Boys & Girls once, that hardly constitutes as a ballad :rolleyes

because thay are her best songs. Every one of those songs she sang in Kouhaku has won that 'Song of the year' award, or something similar.

this Kouhaku doesn't sound that interesting anymore...there're way too many enka singers to appeal older audiences and alot of the biggest artists don't bother to show up. It's a wonder how Ayu shows up every single time. o.O

edit: Japanese site says SMAP, Seiko Matsuda, Mr.Children, Utada, Kou Shibasaki, Namie Amuro and SAS all declined the invitation.

Yeah, white team has a lot of enka singers, but they do so much better than the female enka singers. I think that's why the white team has won for the past few years.

Question- How did you find out the songs Ayu performed in the past Kouhaku awards? Did you search something on the website? I don't know Japanese and can't navigate the website, otherwise I'd like to find out what BoA has performed...
